“The Lady or the Tiger” Storyboard & Presentation Assignment

Task: Individually or in pairs, complete a storyboard of 6 frames

outlining the major plot events of “The Lady or the Tiger”. 1. Decide on your ending. Does the lady or the tiger come out? Or perhaps both/neither? Feel free to make small changes to the story accordingly to fit your ending (make sure it is a relatively realistic one e.g. no aliens, zombies, etc.). 2. Finish your plot diagram, adding in the falling action and conclusion that you have come up with. 3. Using your completed plot diagram as a guide, divide your story into 6 major events that correspond to the following:

• Introduction • Inciting incident • Rising action • Climax • Falling action • Conclusion

4. Each plot event will be one frame in your storyboard; you will have a total of 6 frames. The instructions are as follows for each frame:

• On a blank sheet of paper you will draw a visual representation of the event • Include a 75~100-word caption explaining the event and the characters involved

o Each caption must contain one example of imagery or figurative language 5. Presentation: a dramatic reading of your caption as you present your storyboard to the class.

• Choose a fitting soundtrack to be played during your dramatic reading
