Reception Maths – w/b 6th July

Monday

The focus on today’s lesson is sequencing and ordering, for example days of the week and colours of the

rainbow. There is also some work on sequence and spotting patterns.

Tuesday

The key maths today is counting Zog's stars and adding them up using the tens frame, as well as thinking

about what one more means. Perhaps you could create you own award for someone in your house, we

would love to see your creations, you could tell us how many stars you have given them.

Wednesday

The key maths today is counting and recognising when you take objects away there are less. These

concepts are being looked at through the use of simple stories.

Thursday

The key maths today is counting and understanding what each number means by associating it with a

number of items or movements, for example 3 jumps.

Friday

The key maths today is measurement of time, and weight using everyday language
