Hello Friends and Supporters of Kalipunan,
It has been years now that Kalipunan has been actively partici-pating and getting involve in local events ranging from volunteering before and or during an events, to name a few, Sto Nino Festival by Fil-Am of the QC held in Daven-port IA, Hope at Brickhouse recital in Davenport, John Deere Classic in Moline, IL , GoRed for Women (by American Heart Association) in Davenport, IA and Saints Feast Day in Clinton, IA. Some of Kalipunan members have partici-pated in the State of Iowa Healthi-est Walk Initiative in October months.
Kalipunan also gave out donations to help community locally and in the Phillippines. Locally, Kalipunan have been offering lunches to the Habitat for Humani-ty builders approximately once month. Early this year, Kalipunan donated goods to Kings Harvest shelter during the severe winter storm where local homeless peo-ples’ lives were threatened.
Towards the middle of this year, Kalipunan extended help in the form of cash to the flood victims in the Quad Cities through Salva-tion Army. In December, dona-tions were made out to Café of Vine and Riverbend Food Bank.
On behalf of Kalipunan, I would like to thank every single one who have donated whether they are in a form of cash, time, household items and etc. Thank you for letting Kalipunan give a helping hand to the com-munity locally and abroad where there is poverty, scarcity of good and services. Because of you, we live in a better world.
Sincerely,
Sarah Smith
