THE INNOVATION TAKE OVER
Social Media Week Lagos celebrated its 5th
year and as part of the festivities, Junior
Achievement Nigeria (JAN) was invited to
participate in a presentation on FirstBank of
Nigeria Innovation Stage. The winners of
the 2016 National Company of the Year
Competition, Innovative Minds of Caro
Favored College presented their company
and winning product, a programmable dot-

WOMEN, FINANCIAL LITERACY & BEING BOLD FOR CHANGE
In commemoration of the 2017 International Women’s Day celebration themed “Be
Bold For Change”, Junior Achievement Nigeria partnered with some of the nation’s
most influential women to teach primary school pupils the fundamentals of
financial literacy through the implementation of a Junior Achievement Nigeria
program called - JA More Than Money. The women taught at the Federal
Housing Estate Primary School, Victoria Island Primary School, Awoyaya Primary
School and Ansarudeen Primary School. For more information on this story and

In celebration of Global Money Week 2017, the
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) declared March
30, 2017 Financial Literacy Day, on which
MD/CEOs and top executives of 29 banks and
financial institutions across the nation visited
over 800 schools in 36 states to teach financial
literacy curriculum provided by Junior
Achievement Nigeria. Over 80,000 students
were impacted through Junior Achievement
Nigeria’s cutting-edge curriculum based on this
year’s Global Money Week’s “Learn. Save.
Earn” theme which was set to hold worldwide
from Monday 27th March – Sunday 2nd April

Junior Achievement Nigeria would like to
express its sincere gratitude to Mr. Oji for
his exceptional support as a JAN volunteer.
Mr. Oji has gone above and beyond the call
of duty by implementing two JA Nigeria
core programs and impacting over 120
students. Mr. Oji has not only dedicated his
time, he is also committed to recruiting
other volunteers to further JANs impact in
the south-south region of Nigeria. We
