A dynamic not-for-profit organization based in Bracebridge and serving all of Muskoka is currently searching for an Executive Director. The ‘YWCA Without Walls’ provides services to over 1400 individuals in 25 locations throughout Muskoka. We are looking for a visionary leader with strong human resource management, planning and community development expertise.
Responsibilities include managing Human Resources, Programs and Services, Operations, Financial Management/Planning, Fund Development and maintaining our well established and respected public image. The Executive Director is responsible for programs, ensuring they continue to prosper and adapt to community needs. Fund development is a vital component, as is the ability to motivate and build commitment and enthusiasm among staff, volunteers and the community.
The preferred candidate will have knowledge of the Muskoka district and a history of advocating for social justice issues. Superior communication skills are required to build and maintain effective relationships. The individual must have a demonstrated commitment to improving the status of women. The ideal candidate should have a post-secondary degree in social sciences or a related field. Previous fund development and non-profit experience would be an asset.
