Log On Screen
Logging On
1. Connect to the Internet and type mail.midlandstech.edu/ in the address bar and press Enter.
2. a) Connect to the Internet and type www.midlandstech.edu/ in the Address Bar and select the “Faculty & Staff” tab at the top.
b) Then click on the Remote Access icon
3. a) Connect to the Internet and type http://inside.mid.tec.sc.us/ in the Address Bar and press Enter. Note: You will be prompted for the college Intranet username/password.
b) On the Intranet Home Page, scroll down and locate the Remote Access icon and click it.

There are two steps to logging in:
1) Enter your Username and press Enter.
2) A dialog box appears an you must enter your username (again) and password. Then press Enter or click Ok. Your password is set to the last six digits of your SSN.

Web Access Overview
Use Microsoft Outlook Web Access to retrieve and work with data stored on the Microsoft Exchange Server computer using an Internet browser from a UNIX, Macintosh, or Microsoft Windows-based computer. Using the features of Outlook Web Access, you can process and organize information and optimize communication tasks related to your daily work.
ViewersInbox Viewer, Calendar Viewer, Contacts Viewer, and Public Folders Viewer display the options provided by Outlook Web Access. Depending on the task you are performing, the viewer contains:
Forms
Toolbar
Outlook Bar
User Area
Inbox
Subfolders MessagesMove Up
By default, your Web Access account will open with the Inbox displayed. You can choose to read messages, open any subfolders, or move up to the Mailbox Folder List view. You can also, at any time, use the Outlook Toolbar shortcuts.
Working With Folders
Your mailbox contains default folders with specific functions: Calendar, Contacts, Deleted Items, Inbox, Outbox, and Sent Items. You can create additional folders to organize messages in different categories.
Default Folders
Stores meeting and appointment information
Stores contacts information
Stores items deleted from other folders
Stores all messages until they are moved or deleted
Stores messages until they are sent
Stores a copy of messages after they are sent
The Complete User’s Guide
• Click Remote Access Tutorial
• Click Help Desk in the From Field
• Click the Public Folders icon
