The Help
Book By: Kathryn Stockett
Project By: Molly S
In The Help the characters learn that as long as they have friendship they can rely on themselves to solve problems and get
through hard times in their life; together they are like a puzzle without all of the pieces
their story and lives are not complete.
“I’m on bring you a caramel cake tonight. And I don’t want you to do
nothing but set in your kitchen and eat the whole thing for super.” (page 98)
“I-I think you got him now, Miss Celia,” I say but evidently she doesn’t think
so. Even with my ears ringing, it sounds like chicken bones cracking.
(page 308)
He studies me for a few moments. “You have my word. I won’t tell
anyone,” he says, and I believe him. He gives my one last, lost look. And then he picks up the ring and walks
out. (page 383)
