THE GREAT BRITISH WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY CHALLENGE HOW TO ENTER – AND WHAT YOU CAN WIN The Great British Wildlife Photography Challenge is open to all amateur photographers, to be judged by our panel comprising Clare Balding, Sir David Suchet, Kelly Brook, Steve Brown, Lucy Cooke and our technical judges Gray Levett and Simon Stafford. There are five categories: 1. Mammals; 2. Birds; 3. Insects; 4. Fish, Reptiles, Amphibians and Molluscs; 5. Under-18s. Entries must be submitted by email by 1 October 2021 and the winners will be announced in Weekend magazine. THE PRIZES The winners of each category will have their photos published in the magazine and on Mail Online and receive a Nikon D7500 digital camera and lens kit, plus a year’s subscription to Nikon Owner magazine, as part of the package worth over £1,000. The overall winner also receives a four-day trip to Europe for a wildlife photography masterclass with Simon Stafford. The trip includes return flights from the UK, transfers and three nights half-board, courtesy of Create Away. For full terms and conditions, visit create-away.com THE RULES Photos must have been taken in the British Isles between 1 October 2019 and the closing date. Studies of pets and animals in captivity are ineligible. Only amateur photographers are permitted to enter. Entrants can submit photos in more than one category but no more than three in total. Entrants must verify the provenance of each image and, if they win, they must provide the original file to confirm it hasn’t been manipulated in any significant way. Shortlisted entrants must submit a high- resolution version of the photo. Entrants cannot submit photos that have previously won any award or commendation. Email your entries as jpegs to wildlife@ dailymail.co.uk by 31 October 2021. Include your name, age, address, occupation and phone number, as well as full caption details for your photos. Prizes are as described above. Travel insurance is not included for the overall winner. There are no cash alternatives.
