26TH AERO FRIEDRICHSHAFEN

The Passion of Flying!

Thanks to the great success of the 2017 anniversary trade show, AERO Friedrichshafen has been able to further enhance its reputation as the world‘s most important meeting place for the GA industry and trade show for innovations in this sector.

For us from the AERO Friedrichshafen organizing team, this is a strong incentive to put even more effort into drawing public attention to general aviation and to better reflect the trade show‘s significance for the aviation community.

Your team at AERO Friedrichshafen

With around 35,000 trade visitors from 60 countries (62 % of whom hold a pilot‘s license), AERO Friedrichshafen has grown over the last 40 years into the world‘s most important meeting place for the general aviation industry. The products and services presen-ted during the show by more than 700 exhibitors from around the world include more than 300 aircraft and cover the entire range from gliders and light aircraft to larger airplanes, midsize business jets and helicopters. The full range of flight topics will be rounded off by avionics equipment and propulsion systems as well as pilot supplies and flight training course offerings at AERO Friedrichshafen 2018. Innovative and visionary – that‘s AERO Friedrichshafen! Industry insiders and around 690 journalists come to Friedrichshafen every year to find out about the latest trends and developments in general aviation. As the industry‘s major trade show, the AERO underlines the significance of the GA sector and provides an indispensable matchmaking platform for buyers, dealers, suppliers and production partners.

Engine Area

The Engine Area has long been established at AERO Friedrichshafen. Powered by “fliegermagazin”, this special interest area clearly shows the direction in which the market for propulsion technology is developing. Faster, lighter, more efficient – the latest propulsion technologies in the fields of piston, electric or turbine engines are attracting great interest among aeronautical engineers and aircraft owners. Additional information on topics such as engine maintenance and the development of sustainable fuels for the future are making this special show a major hot spot at AERO Friedrichshafen in 2018.

The strong interest in rewarding jobs in aviation is reflected by the great number of people visiting the “Be a pilot” booths. Supported by “aerokurier”, aviation companies and flight schools will once again be presenting job opportunities, training options and career prospects in the aviation sector at AERO 2018. Whether it be screening of prospective airline pilots or information on job opportunities in the engineering sector – anyone considering a career in aviation will get all his/her questions answered.

JOBS WITH EXCELLENT PROSPECTS

Considering the increasing interest in electric airplanes, sustainability has also become an important aspect in general aviation and makes the e-flight-expo at AERO Friedrichshafen grow year by year. Many renowned aircraft manufacturers such as Siemens are already dealing with almost noise- and emission-free

DRONES OF THE FUTURE

The Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) segment at AERO Friedrichshafen continues to grow. This is largely due to the fact that the annual UAV DACH User Conference is being held as part of the trade show. The AERODrones exhibition area demonstrates the current state of technical development and legal framework related to civil UAS.

At AERO Friedrichshafen 2018, the 2nd User Symposium and accompanying UAS demonstrations will take place on the exhibitions grounds and at other locations.

Time is money! Nobody knows this better than manufacturers of luxury midsize business jets and their customers. Ideally located between Friedrichshafen Airport and Messe Friedrichshafen‘s exhibition halls, the Static Display area is a real hot spot for the business aviation community. The fact that many of the visiting business jet owners are also pilots is creating a very exclusive atmosphere.
