7th Grade Students Write Engineering
Projects for Liberty Elementary
A 7th Grade STEM class designed engineering lessons
for 2nd grade students at Liberty Elementary. Based on
familiar nursery rhymes, the 7th grade students wrote
challenging engineering tasks and pretested all of their
designs. The students first tested their own class and
then prepared bags of materials for each of the 2nd
grade classes. The students wrote teacher notes and
design challenges for each class. The 2nd grade
teachers then came to Freedom and were given a
preview of the challenges. We cannot wait to hear how
the classes at Liberty enjoy our challenges!
