Junior Clinics and AGA Junior Tournament
The junior golf clinics are re-turning to Fern Hall Inn this sea-son and will begin on Friday, June 17th. There are two sessions to choose from for older girls and boys. The earlier clinic is from 8:30-10;00 and a later clinic from 10:15-11:45. A clinic for younger children, ages 4-7, is available from 12:00-12:45. More information and online registration is available by going to the website at nepajunior-golf.weebly.com.
The Anthracite Golf Association Division 2 tournament for age 10-14 girls and boys is scheduled for Monday, July 18th. More infor-mation and registration forms are available on the Anthracite Golf Association website.

Their re-cital was held on April 16th at Carbondale Area High School and students from all 3 divisions, Carbondale, Forest City and Lake Ariel took part in the show. On Saturday, May 28th, Christ Episcopal Church, For-est City, will host its next FREE COMMUNITY LUNCH, an event that is being held on the 4th Saturday of each month. As this is Memorial Day week-end, we’re featuring a “Picnic!” Please help us spread the word about this new and ongoing program.
Jennifer Korty received the Outstanding Female Athlete award at the Wyalusing “Lasagna” Invitational on Friday, May 29. Jennifer finished 1st in the 1600m with a time of 5:19.6 & 1st in the 800m with a time of 2:27.3.

Sealed BIDS for a Single Prime Contract for construc-tion of a New, Single Story Library, approximately 21,800 S.F. in size (Base Bid) are re-quested. A Deduct Alternate Bid is also described and Re-quested in the documents, if a reduction in building size (by approximately 4,300 S.F.), is deemed necessary by the Library Association to meet budget. A BID BOND in an amount not less than 5 percent (5%) of the amount of the bid and drafted in favor of the Susque-hanna County Historical Soci-ety and Free Library Associa-tion shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bid-der will be required to furnish and pay for Performance and Payment Bonds, as described in the Bid Documents. The Li-brary Association reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the bidding, or to award a Contract for either the Base or Alternate Bid. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the bid due date without the consent of the Library Asso-ciation. Three Hundred (300) calendar days from issuance of written “Notice to Proceed” has been established as the construction period.
Sealed Bids will be received by the Susquehanna County Historical Society & Free Li-brary Association at their of-fice located at 18 Monument Street, Montrose, PA 18801 until 2:00 PM (Local Time) on May 26, 2016. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:30 PM (Local Time) at St. Paul’s Church Parish Hall, 276 Church Street, Mon-trose, PA 18801.
