BOOST Scholarship Program
BOOST is a Maryland State Program, enacted in 2016, to ensure the affordability for lower-income students to benefit from K-12 education in the private setting, which best needs their educational needs. BOOST provides scholarships to eligible students enabling them to attend a nonpublic school. To learn more about BOOST, visit www.educationmaryland.org/BOOST. The application can be located at: marylandpublicschools.org/Pages/boost/index.aspx The legislation that governs the BOOST program for the 2018-2019 school year states that “Students who received a BOOST Program scholarship award in the prior year who still meet eligibility criteria for a scholarship shall receive a scholarship renewal award.” In order to be considered for a renewal award, an application still must be submitted. Parents will need re-enrollment confirmation, completed application, TADS proof of application and proof of reported household income. The application deadline for the 2018-2019 school year is May 21, 2018 by 5:00pm. The MSDE hopes to send award notices to parents in July. Current BOOST students that remain eligible and re-apply will receive the same award amounts as last year.

April 3, 2018
Dear Parents and Guardians,
For the past several months, the Holy Redeemer Parish Finance Council, the Holy Redeemer School Advisory Board, Rev. Mark Smith and Mrs. Maria Bovich have extensively researched and discussed the 2018-2019 tuition and sibling grant. When determining tuition and the sibling grant, we try to keep a balance between affordability for our families, and the strategic needs of the school. While we recognize that any fluctuation in tuition and the sibling grant will impact our families, such adjustments are necessary to maintain the quality of our academic programs, our teachers, and to ensure our long-term viability. After careful consideration, the tuition for the 2018-2019 school year will NOT increase; however, there will be changes to the sibling grant program.
The sibling grant program has been restructured for the 2018-2019 school year. The sibling grant rate has been adjusted (please see the attached 2018-2019 tuition flyer), and a new procedure has been put in place. In order to be considered for a Sibling Grant, families will have to adhere to the following procedure:
1. Families must have submitted their ADW tuition assistance application viaTADS by the December I, 2017 deadline for returning families, or February 5,2018 for new families.
2. Families with need for the sibling grant must submit a request in writing for theHRS Sibling Grant application form.
3. Families must complete and submit the Sibling Grant application form by May4 (no exceptions will be made).
4. Applications will be reviewed, and a final decision will be announced June 1st.5. Please be advised that the 2017-2018 School Year Tuition must be current
before the 2018-2019 Sibling Grant application can be reviewed.
The restructuring of the sibling grant is necessary to ensure that we have adequate resources to keep pace with the forecasted increase in operational costs, but also allow us to continue to make the necessary capital and educational investments necessary to maintain the facilities, and provide the best possible education for our students. As always, we will continue to prioritize all the necessary investments in our school to ensure we are utilizing all available resources as efficiently and effectively as possible. Our goal is, and always has been, to provide the highest quality of education for your child(ren).
Thank you and God bless,

Dear Holy Redeemer Family,
Happy Easter!
As you may have heard, Holy Redeemer will be journeying on a Parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land next year. We hope that you will consider joining us for this incredible opportunity to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and experience the very sites of his life, death, and resurrection. Since the earliest years of Christianity, the Holy Land has
always been considered the greatest object of pilgrimage: visiting it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Our Parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land will be led by me, and will include time spent in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and Capernaum – the major sites of the life of our Lord. This nine day pilgrimage will begin on January 2, 2019 and conclude on January 11, 2019. We are using the very reputable 206 Pilgrimage Company, and I have
personally designed this itinerary myself. This trip will be a wonderful opportunity to grow in your faith life, as well as experience a beautiful culture and visit places of incredible historical importance.
The pilgrim must embark on such a journey with trust in God, being willing to temporarily separate himself or herself from his or her day-to-day life. A successful pilgrimage involves a commitment to leave behind one’s ordinary problems and to enter
a different mode of living – taking time to reconnect with what is most essential and most important in life. A pilgrimage is always full of surprises and unexpected graces,
and you will return home transformed and renewed by the abundant blessings received.
We invite you to find out more about our upcoming Parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
by coming to our Information Session on Sunday, April 29th at 1:30 p.m. in the
School Library. Come, ask questions, and discover the life-changing wonders that may await you!
Sincerely in Christ, Rev. Matthew J. Fish Parochial Vicar
