Each day will be a different adventure. The different age groups will rotate between our camp schedule and the afternoon excursions. Camp schedule: Each day we will begin with music & bible story. The groups will break out into small groups with the kids for more discussion and study of the bible story. Then they will rotate through craft and recreation stations. Each day we will also leave campus for a fun trip or service project. Cost: $70 per child Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 9am - 4pm and Friday program 9am - 12:30pm FPC: International Mission Partners Adams-Maldonado Family Visiting July 19th at 5:30pm in the Kirk , Cindy, Anna Flor, Nathan and Mark Miriam, Cindy, Anna Flor, Nathan and Mark Sunday, July 19th at 5:30pm in the Kirk we will welcome mission co-workers Mark Adams and Miriam Maldonado Escobar back to First Pres! Join us for light refreshments and hear about their Miriam, Cindy, Anna Flor work on the Arizona-Mexico Nathan and Mark border, a land of contrasts. Mark serves as a pastor, teacher and advocate. As the U.S. coordinator of the binational ministry, Frontera de Cristo, Mark is responsible for the management of six ministry areas: church development, health, family counseling, the New Hope Community Center, mission education and the Just Trade Center. Miriam serves as a liaison of Frontera de Cristo with the Center for Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation and Recuperation, DouglaPrieta Trabaja and the Lirio de los Valles Presbyterian Church. Mark and Miriam met while working on the border and have made their home there with their children Cindy Yessenia, Anna Flor and Nathan. FPC Connection: Mark Adams, a graduate of Columbia Seminary and a Clover, SC native, is now serving the PC(USA) in Mexico along with his wife, and fellow missionary Miriam Maldonado Escobar. FPC Supports this family’s mission financially and especially through prayer. Please keep Mark, Miriam, their family, and the people along the Mexico-U.S. border in your prayers.

Our summer week long day camp. Each day will be a different adventure. The different age groups will rotate between our camp schedule and the afternoon excursions. MEALS ON WHEELS Through the ministry and work of Meals

on Wheels, many people in Anderson are

fed a hot meal each weekday. Help us to

support their good work. We are collecting

individually packaged desserts and sweet snacks, such as

Little Debbie cakes, puddings, jello, fruit cups and other

sweet treats. Please bring your donation and

place in the blue bin outside the

church office.

RHODES RESPITE CARE Looking for a place to serve? Do you like to play brain games, sing, and help with crafts? You are invited to volunteer with Rhodes Respite Dementia Care. The program meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 10 AM until 1:45 PM to serve those individuals with early stage Alzheimer’s or other dementia. The family caregivers get a short break to do errands and relax while the participants enjoy a variety of failure-free activities. Call Gail Marion at 245-1694 if you are interested. Inform your friends and neighbors about this service opportunity since volunteers from all churches are welcome.

SUMMER CHOIR The Music Ministry is offering a Summer Choir from July—Labor Day. We will meet each

Sunday at 9:40am in the choir loft to prepare a familiar hymn tune arrangement. All are invited to participate—youth and adults. In addition to our Chancel and Early Bird Choir members, we are hoping to have some people join us who do not normally sing with one of the choirs. “Christmas in July” Help the dayschool improve their classroom learning equipment by participating in our “Christmas in

July” project. There are two trees

located at the church: one is located

in the main hallway near the church office and the

second one is located in the hallway on the second

floor behind the sanctuary. Take an ornament from one of the trees during the month of July and help purchase the item listed on the ornament. You may either purchase the item yourself or make a donation to the dayschool to purchase the item. Please attach the ornament to the item you purchased or to the monetary donation. (checks made payable to FPC Dayschool) The item/ donation can be left in the church office or you can give to Ann Campbell, Dayschool Director. Your support is greatly appreciated. Questions? Join us for a morning of crafts and play. We will get creative in the craft room making and playing. Then we will move to the gym or outside to

ELEMENTARY ACTIVITIES Wednesday, August 12, 9am-4pm

Kids Care Day & Play We will have a day filled with fun and service. We will work with one or two service organizations, go out for

lunch and then head to a pool to swim. Must wear closed toed shoes for the service projects. Pack your

swimsuit, towel and sunscreen. *Cost $10.

Sunday Morning Superstars Trip

Thursday & Friday, August 13 & 14 All elementary students (5k-5th grade) who have

attended summer Sunday school at least 8 of the 13 weeks will go on a special overnight trip to Camp Buc

with Jennifer Walker and the 252 crew!
