INTRODUCTIONTithingbringsaboutmanifestation.ThemanifestationofGod'sglory is thevisible, tangible,physical evidence

thattheWordofGodisoperatinginyourlife.It'swhenwhatyou'vereadwithinthe pages of the Bible is reflected in you and on you. When you havemanifestation,noonehas towonderwhetherornot thepromisesofGodhavebeenkept,becauseyou'retheverypictureofhealing,prosperity,deliveranceandsoundness.

It'stimeforusastheBodyofChrist,toseetouchandexperienceallthattheBiblesayswecanhave.It'snotenoughforustojustcomeandheartheWord.Weall knowhow importanthearing is, (Romans10:17) but I'm talkingaboutthattouchable"thereitis"manifestationcomingtopassinourlives.

TheSpiritofGodspoketomyheartandsaid,"Iffolksaregoingtoenterinto abundance,manifestationorpromotion, they're going tohave to sowuntilthere'sabreakthrough."

Child of God, there are three things that will hinder the manifestation ofGod's glory in your life—not tithing, strife and faithlessness. Of these three,tithingisanareathathasnotbeenadequatelydealtwithfromGod'sperspective—untilnow.

SomeofyouarebelievingGodforandconfessingchangeofstatusincertainsituationsandcircumstances.Whenyoudon'ttithe,youcutyourselfofffromthepromises of God, and in effect, stand in the way of your own blessings.AlthoughyouhaverightsasaChristian,youcancancelyourownrightsbynottithing.

Inthisin-depthstudyoftithing,we'llsearchthescripturesfromboththeoldandnewtestamentstofindoutjustwhatGodhastosayonthesubject.Youwillsee that tithing is not something your pastor hasmade up for his benefit, butinsteadissomethingGodrequires.I'llexplainwhattithingis,howit'sdone,thebenefits of tithing and the consequences of not tithing. I've even includeddeclarationsofrepentanceyoucanmaketoshowGodyou'veturnedyourbackonthesinofwithholdingthetithe.

There have been times in the past when I've taught on this subject at ourchurch,andafewofthemembersgotoffendedandleft.WhenIpreachagainstadulteryorreefersmoking,theonlyoneswhogetupsetarethepeoplewhoaresmokingreefer,thosewhoareinadultery,orboth.Likewise,whenIpreachon

tithing,thepeoplewhogetupsetarethosewhoarenottithing.Whenyoutouchonareasofpeople'sliveswheretheyarenotlivingaccordingtotheWord,theytendtogetdefensive.Iftithingisoneofthoseareasforyou,allowtheWordofGodtomatureyou.AllowwhatHehastosayonthesubjectfixwhatneedstobefixed inyour life.There isnocondemnation for thoseofuswhoare inChristJesus,(Romans8:1)but thereisrestorationandgrowth.You'renevergoingtochangeuntilyourecognize that thefirststep is toget in thepresenceofGod'sWord.You'llknowyou'rematureinthethingsofGodifyoudon'tgetoffendedbywhatyoureadinthisbook.

Make a quality decision to get all thatGod haspromised you,and in allyourgetting,getunderstanding.

THEEARTHISTHELORD'SFortheearthistheLord's,andthefulnessthereof.(1Corinthians10:26)

We are owners of nothing, but called to be faithful stewards of all that Godblessesuswith.Forwebroughtnothing into thisworld,and it is certainwecancarrynothingout.(1Timothy6:7)Inotherwords,everythingonthefaceofthis earthbelongs toGod.Everything.There is absolutelynothingwebroughtintothisworld,andthereislikewisenothingwecantakewithuswhenweleave.Assimpleas that is tograspwhenitcomestomostmaterial things,Christianshavetraditionallybeenunableorunwillingtoacceptthatideawhenitcomestowhattheylabelastheirmoney.Thetruthofthematteris,Godhasblessedyouwithwhateverincreaseyouobtain,andrequiresonlythatyoureturntoHimthetithe,ortenpercentofyourincrease.

TotitheistoreturntoGodtenpercentofwhatHehasgiventoyou.Inherentin our willingness to tithe is the acknowledgment of God's ownership ofeverythingintheearth,includingourfinances.Therefore,thetitheshouldbeanexpressionofyourappreciationandthanksgivingtoGodforwhatHehasdoneinyourlife.Itshouldnotbeseenasaburdenoraloss,butshouldbeseenastheopportunityitisforyoutoprosperinthethingsofGod.

Andallthetitheoftheland,whetheroftheseedoftheland,orofthefruitofthetree,istheLORD'S:itisholyuntotheLORD.

Andifamanwillatallredeemaughtofhistithes,heshalladdtheretothefifthpartthereof.

Andconcerning the titheof theherd,orof the flock,evenofwhatsoeverpassethundertherod,thetenthshallheholyuntotheLORD.

Heshallnotsearchwhetherithegoodorhad,neithershallhechangeit:andifhechangeitatall,thenbothitandthechangethereofshallbeholy;itshallnotberedeemed.

Thesearethecommandments,whichtheLORDcommandedMosesforthechildrenofIsraelinmountSinai.(Leviticus27:30-34)

NoticeinthefirstversewearetoldthatthetithebelongstotheLord.Itisnotyoursorminetodowithwhateverwechoose,becauseitdoesn'tbelongtous,itbelongstoGod.InProverbs3:9weareinstructedto"HonourtheLORDwiththysubstance,andwith thefirstfruitsofall thine increase"Thesubstanceofour finances is what we are to honor the Lord with, thanking Him for theprovision to have our needs met. The firstfruits are equal to the tithe. Soanywhere in theBible it refers to firstfruits,youknowthatalsobelongs to the

Lord.Now, if you're a good businessman, you know the tithe of your business

belongstoGod.Onlyninetypercentofyourbusinessisyours,andthefirstfruitsof all your profit should be presented as tithes in honor to the Lord. As aChristian, only ninety percent of your time is yours.The remainder should bespentintimeofprayer,fastingandcommunionwithGod.Likewise,yourbodyis the templeof theHolySpirit, on loan toyou fromabove. Itwaspurchasedwithaprice,andon thedayofJudgment,youwillhave togiveanaccountofhowyoucarriedyourself.

WhatIneedforyoutoseeChildofGod,isthattithingisnotanoption.Itisnotsomethingthathasbeenputupforavote,forustodecidewhetherornotitistherightthingtodo.No,Godsaysthatthefirstfruit,theinitialtenpercentofyourincreaseisHis.ItisdedicatedandsetasideforHisuse.Folkscomeupwithallsortsofreasonsastowhytheyshouldnot,couldnotorwouldnottithe.Theysaythingslike,"Well,it'sanOldTestamentthing,andsinceit'snotmentionedintheNewTestament,wedon'thavetotithe."Otherstrytojustifynottithingbysaying that "God surely is notmoved by something as basic asmoney." Theproblemisthatupuntilnow,we'venotunderstoodGod'sheartonthissubject,and in so doing, have missed out on the blessings we're supposed to inheritthroughtithing.Workingourwaythroughscripture,wewillprovethattithingisabiblicalmandate,acovenantissueandanopportunitytohonorGod.Victoryinyourlifeisdeterminedbyhowyouhandlethetithe.

THETITHEISHOLY

Aswediscoveredinthepreviouschapter,thetitheisholy.ItbelongstotheLord,anditisholy.Beingholyhasnothingtodowithhowyoudress.It'snotinoutward things.Holiness is the stateofbeing inagreementwithGod. It is thestateofbeingofonemindwithGod.Tobeholy is to findoutwhat theBiblesays,andtobeinagreementwithwhatGodsays.

IntheOldTestament,therewassomethingelsedeemedholyandsacreduntoGod,andthatwastheArkoftheCovenant.Thissacred,portablechest—alongwith its two related items, the mercy seat and cherubim—was the mostimportant, sacred object to the Israelites during the wilderness period. Alsoknown as the Ark of the Lord, it was the only article of furniture in theinnermost room, or Holiest of Holies of Moses' tabernacle and of Solomon'stemple. This was something so special, that a person could not just touch itirreverently. It was so holy, that even if you touched it unintentionally youwoulddie. In theBible, theword"death" is literally translatedasaseparation.And,whenamantouchesthetithe,ormishandlesthetithe,separationfromGodtakesplace.

When you're holy, whatever the Bible says is wrong is what you say iswrong.WhatevertheBiblesaysisrightiswhatyousayisright.IftheBiblesaysthat behaving in a certain way is sin, well, that's what you say is sin. That'sholiness.

Now,whenHe says the tithe is holy, andwe understand the definition ofholiness, thenwebegintoseethetitheas thethingthatkeepsusinagreementwithwhatGod has promised.God has given us a covenant, and thenHe hasgivenusthissystemcalledtithing,whichisanavenuebywhichwemaintainorbreak the agreement. To tithe is to maintain the agreement between you andGod.On thecontrary, tonot tithe is tobreakagreementwithGod.Tithing thetitheistheprocessbywhichyoupresentyourtenthtoJesus,ourHighPriest—the Author and Finisher of our faith.When you are tithing the tithe, you areconstantlyconfirmingyouragreementwithGod,andwiththecovenantpromisesattachedtothetithe.

The problem most people have with Leviticus 27, is that it's in the OldTestament.BecauseitislocatedinthatportionoftheBible,mostpeoplewillsay

theydon'thavetoreceivethatasacommandmentfromGod,andbelievethatwearegovernedonlybytheNewTestament.

Well folks, this is what I perceive concerning this New Testament, OldTestamentissue.IfwearenotobligatedtokeeptheentireBible,thenGodwouldhaveonlygivenustheNewTestament.Youmayhavebeenledtobelievethatsince somepublishersonlyprint those littlegreenBibles thatonly include thebooksfromMatthewtoRevelation.Now,wedoliveundertheNewTestament,buttheOldTestamentisaforeshadowandafoundation.ItactsasacolumntoholdsupthebeliefsandconfirmthepositionoftheNewTestament.

Buthowobligatedareyou?IsthisjustanOldTestamentissue?Canyoujustignore the commandments about tithing because you consider yourself aNewTestamentChristian?Wellnow,let'sbackupalittlebit.Let'sgotothebookofGenesisandanswerthisquestion.

Let's decide once and for all if this is anOldTestament issue or if it is acovenantissue.

The second chapter of Genesis begins the saga of a man by the name ofAdam.Hewas,asyoumayknow,thefirstmanweseeintherestructuringoftheearth. Ididn't sayhewas the firstmanon theearth,but that'sadiscussion foranotherbook,another time.God is talking toAdam.Hegiveshimthegarden,authority,andalltheseotherneatthingsandmakespromisesofwhatistocome.TheninGenesis2:16-17Hesays:

"...Ofeverytreeofthegardenthoumayestfreelyeat:Butofthetreeoftheknowledgeofgoodandevil,thoushaltnoteatofit:

forinthedaythatthoueatestthereofthoushaltsurelydie."Well,infact,hecouldonlyeatninetypercentofthegarden.Godspecifically

told Adam not to eat of the dedicated tree. God was telling Adam that theywouldbeabletomaintaintheagreementtheyhad,justaslongasAdamdidnottouch that which was God's. The success of their agreement was based uponwhetherornotAdamtouchedthededicatedthing.AsfarasGodwasconcerned,if that happened, the agreementwas off, andHewould have to separate fromAdam.

You'reprobably saying, "Hedideatof the tree,and theBible sayshewasgoing to die, but yet he lived several hundredmore years." There was still adeath, a separation that took place in that situation. The glory thatAdam hadbeenwalking in, the promise towalk likeGod andbe likeGodwasover.HetouchedGod'sstuff.And,sincehetouchedGod'sstufftheagreementwasoff—nottobereinstateduntilsomeonecamealongtoredeemthecrime.

NAKEDBEFOREGOD

Now,Adamwas in agreementwithwhatGodhad said, but thenwego toGenesis3:6:

Andwhenthewomansawthatthetreewasgoodforfood,andthatitwaspleasanttotheeyes,andatreetobedesiredtomakeonewise,shetookofthefruitthereof,anddideat,andgavealsountoherhusbandwithher;andhedideat.

When the woman ate of the tree, I don't believe anything irreversiblehappened.IbelievethattheagreementwasstillineffectbecauseGodhadmadetheagreementwithAdam,andnotwithhiswife.Buthere,wesee thewomanleading by influence when she should have been following. She should havebeenhelping,aidingandsupporting,butnottakingthelead.Awomanbynaturehas the tendency to want to lead things. When things aren't getting doneproperly,shejustwantsyoutogetoutofthewaysoshecantakecareofthings.Andbynature,mostmenwillsitbackandletherdowhatshewants.That'swhyasmen,wehave to guard against that fleshly desire of thewoman towant tolead,andthecasualattitudeofmentowanttojustsitbackandlethertakeover.Theproblemisthatwhenyouletawomanstayinthatplacefortoolong,she'llget used to it. Then you come to church and find out it's the man who issupposed to be leading.Now, it's going to take an act ofCongress for you toreclaimyourGod-givenauthority.

Ibelieveeven if thewomanhad taken the fruit andeatenof it, andAdamremindedher that theywere inagreementwithGod, thingswouldhave turnedoutdifferently.Heshouldhavesaid, "Wecanonlyeatof theninetypercent. Iwill not touch that which is God's. You need to go somewhere privately andpray,Sweetheart. In themeantime, I'llgo toGodand intercedeonyourbehalfbeforewe loseour coats of glory, andhave to run aroundnaked." Instead, hewasseducedbyherinfluence.

After theyate, theyknewtheywerenaked.Prior to that theywerewithoutartificialclothing,buttheywerebeautifullyclothedinthepresenceandthegloryofGod.Aseparationthentookplace,andtheyhadtosewfigleavestogethertohidetheirshame.Allofasuddentheglorythathadcoveredthem,theglorythathadsustainedthemwasoffbecausesomebodytouchedGod'sstuff.

IwonderhowmanyofyoureadingthisbookarenakedtodaybeforeGod?Iwonder howmanyof you are nakedof the glory, nakedof the provision, andnakedofmanifestationbecauseyou've touchedGod's tithe?Youwentoutandspent God's money on a new dress. You're clothed in artificial clothing, butwithoutthepower,promiseandanointingofGod—allbecauseyoutouchedthetithe.

Atonepoint,IgotcarnalwithGodonthisandIsaid,"Comeonnow,God.Justbetweenmeandyou. Imean, themandidn'tdoanythingbutbiteoffofapieceoffruit.Imean,howareyougoingtothrowtheearthintothechaosofsin,justbecausehebitsomefruit?Ididn'tevenreadthathehadtwobites.OnebiteapieceofthefruitcausedYoutogetupsetlikethis?"WhatIheardinmyspiritwasthis:"That'snotthepoint.Thepointisthatwehadanagreement.ThattreewastheonlythingthatstoodbetweenMedoingwhatIsaidIwoulddo,andMenotbeing able todowhat I said Iwoulddo. Iwant to fulfillMypromises, but I cannot lie.When you break the agreement, it's broken. Ican't come up like some human beings do and say, 'Oh, that's all right.'Because if Idid that,allHeavenandearthwouldpassaway.MyWord istrue. In this case, that tree was the only thing standing between theagreementbeingintact,andtheagreementbeingbroken."

Afterthis,Godhadadilemma.Theytouchedthetitheandtheglorywasoffman.Heneededamethodbywhichtomendthesituation,andgetthepromisesback to mankind. So now, He's looking for a man with whom He can cutcovenant. If you know anything about the story ofCain andAbel, youwouldknowthatAbelwouldhavequalified.Hewasacovenant-keepingmanandalsoatither,butCainkilledhim.Atthispoint,Godisstilllookingforsomeonewithwhomtocutcovenant.He'sstilllookingforsomeonewhowouldtithe.

WhichbringsustothetwelfthchapterofGenesis,andtoamanbythenameofAbram.HesendsAbramtoaplacewherethereisfamine,andHemakesgoodHis promises to him. There is a transference ofwealth intoAbram's hands insubsequentchapters.

THEORDEROFMELCHIZEDEK

Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, andfrom thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that Iwill shewthee:

AndIwillmakeoftheeagreatnation,andIwillblessthee,andmakethynamegreat;andthoushaltbeablessing:

AndIwillblessthemthatblessthee,andcursehimthatcurseththee:andintheeshallallfamiliesoftheearthbeblessed.(Genesis12:1-3)

The word "bless" means to empower you to prosper, or empower you toexcel.Then,HedemonstratedwhatHehadjustpromised.That'swhatcovenantis all about. A covenant is a pledge, a vow, a promise between two ormoreparties to carryout the termsagreedupon.Acovenant canonlybebrokenbydeath,whenitismadeinblood.Wedon'tneedtomakeagreementsofthatsorttodaybecausewehavethebloodofJesus,butbackthenthiswasthestrongesttypeofagreementknowntoman.Allthroughoutthefollowingchapters,weseeGodmakingandconfirmingHispromisestoAbram,whosenamewaschangedtoAbraham.

And Iwillmake thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if aman cannumberthedustoftheearth,thenshallthyseedalsobenumbered.(Genesis13:16)

FollowmetothefourteenthchapterwhenAbram'sbrotherwasabducted:Andtherecameonethathadescaped,andtoldAbramtheHebrew...AndwhenAbramheardthathisbrotherwas takencaptive,hearmedhis

trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, andpursuedthemuntoDan.

Andhebroughtbackallthegoods,andalsobroughtagainhisbrotherLot,andhisgoods,andthewomenalso,andthepeople.(Genesis14:13-14,

16)Abramhadbeeninbattle,wonthebattleandreceivedthespoilsofthebattle.

PaycloseattentiontowhatAbramdoeswithhisincrease.AndMelchizedekkingofSalembroughtforthbreadandwine:andhewas

thepriestofthemosthighGod.And he blessed him, and said, Blessed beAbram of themost highGod,

possessorofheavenandearth:AndblessedbethemosthighGod,whichhathdeliveredthineenemiesinto

thyhand.Andhegavehimtithesofall.(Genesis14:18-20)Lookwhat's happeningChild ofGod, right in themiddle of this covenant

being set,we see thisman bringing in the tithe.Now, letme put this in yourspirit:Wherever you find a tither, you're going to find victory.Wherever youfindanon-tither,you'regoingtofindfailure.ThecovenantpromisesofGodcanalways be produced for someonewhowill continue to stay hooked up to thecovenantthroughhistithes.

AndthekingofSodomsaiduntoAbram,Givemethepersons,andtakethegoodstothyself.

AndAbramsaidtothekingofSodom,IhaveliftupminehanduntotheLORD,themosthighGod,thepossessorofheavenandearth.

ThatIwillnottakefromathreadeventoashoelatchet,andthatIwillnottakeanythingthatisthine,lestthoushouldestsay,IhavemadeAbramrich...(Genesis14:21-23)

What'shesaying?"Idon'twantanythingfromyou.I'mgoingtocontinuetotithe.I'mgoingtogivemyfirstfruitstoGod,andnoonewillbeabletosaytheymademerich,butGodHimself."Inthefollowingchapterthey'regettingreadyforthecovenantceremony.AbramwantedtoknowhowhewouldinheritallthethingsGodpromisedhim.Prior to that inGenesis15, theBible tellsabout thevariousanimalsneededfor theceremony,and theprocessofcutting theactualcovenant."InthesamedaytheLORDmadeacovenantwithAbram,saying,Unto thy seed have I given this land..." (Genesis 15:18) Then they go intochapter 17, and He says something fascinating about this covenant whichanswers thequestionsomanyofyouhaveaboutwhetherornot this isanOldTestamentissue.

AndIwillmake theeexceedingfruitful,andIwillmakenationsof thee,andkingsshallcomeoutofthee.

AndIwillestablishmycovenantbetweenmeandtheeandthyseedafterthee in theirgenerations foraneverlastingcovenant, tobeaGodunto thee,andtothyseedafterthee.(Genesis17:6-7)

GodchangedAbram'snametoAbrahamwhenthecovenantwascutbetweenthem. If tithing is a part of that covenant making process between God andAbraham, and theBible says this is an everlasting covenant, thenwho else isincluded in thecovenant?According to thescriptureyou just read,youare. InGalatians3:29theBiblesays,"IfyebeChrist's,thenareyeAbraham'sseed,andheirsaccordingtothepromise."ThatmeansthateverythingGodpromisedAbraham, He also promises to you. Through the High Priest, He promised

AbrahamthatHewouldblesshimtobeablessing.AbrahambroughtthetithetotheHighPriestandhewasblessed.BringingthetithewastheavenuebywhichAbrahamcouldpartakeofthecovenantpromisesofGod.

HereiswhatmostofusintheBodyofChristhaveatendencytodo.WesingsongsaboutAbraham'sblessingsbeingours,butweseemtoforgethowhegottheblessings.Yousee,youcan'tget thepromiseunlessyouget it through themethoddemonstratedinGenesis14:18whenitsays,"blessedbyAbramofthemosthighGod"—aconfirmationofwhatHepromisedtodoearlier.Itisthroughthis tithe thatGodwasable tocarryoutHispromiseofblessings toAbraham.SinceAbrahamrepresentsallofus,ifwedowhathedidthenwecangetwhatGodpromises in our lives, the samewayAbrahamgot them to operate in hislife.AllofthesepromisesputtogethercomprisetheAbrahamicCovenant.SincetheBiblesaysthatthiscovenantiseverlasting,thereisnoendtothevowsmadeortotheblessingspromised.Withthatinmind,doesitendin1998?Willitendintheyear2000?Willitendafterwe'vebeenraptured?No,becauseeverlastingmeans without end. So, if tithing is part of the Abrahamic Covenant, does itmakeadifferencethatyoureadaboutitintheOldTestament?No,itdoesn't.It'spart of an everlasting covenant which transcends and which breaks theboundariesof theNewTestament.For thoseofyouwhothinkthatwemodernday Christians have only to live by the New Testament, I say this: We arecovenant people.Not onlydowe liveby theNewTestament, butwe are alsoheirsoftheAbrahamicCovenant,andanythingintheOld

TestamentthatispartofthepromiseGodmadetoAbraham,isapplicabletoourlivestoday!So,whoevertellsyouthattithingisnotfortoday,andthatitwasjust for the old covenant saints is mistaken. You need to quickly take themthrough theWordofGodandshow them that tithing ispartofaneverlasting,forevercovenantthatpertainstouseventoday.And,Godrequiresus,ifwewantAbraham'spromisesinourlivestoday,totithethesamewayAbrahamdidinhisday.Followmesofar?WithallthescripturesI'vegivenyou,IknowinmyspiritthatsomeofyouarestillfightingtheideaofgivingbacktoGodtenpercentofwhat belongs toHim.That spirit that tries to talk you into hanging on tightlywhentheBibleclearlytellsyoutoletgoandletGod,isademonicspiritbasedonthe loveofmoney.TheBiblesays in thebookofTimothy, that the loveofmoney is the root of all evil.But, do you knowwhat that really sayswhen ittalksabouttheloveofmoney?It'sabouthavingthewrongrelationshipwiththematerialworld. Inside of you right now, if you have a funny feeling that thisGeorgiapreacheristryingtotalkyououtofgivingtenpercentofyourmoneytoyourlocalchurch,you'reundertheinfluenceofademonicspirit.Ican'tmakeitanyplainerthanwhatyou'veread.Youcan'tevenaccusemeofgivingyoumy

owninterpretation,becauseIjustledyouthroughtheBible."WellBrotherDollar,Imightbeinclinedtobelieveyouifyoucouldshow

methisintheNewTestament."I'm glad you brought that up. Turn to Luke 11:42. Notice that it's Jesus

talkinghere.Youcantellbecauseit'swritteninred."Butwoeuntoyou,Pharisees!foryetithemintandrueandallmannerof

herbs, and pass over judgment and the love ofGod: these ought ye to havedone,andnottoleavetheotherundone."

They're tithing all of these different things. He said "You tithe, and youought to."JesusHimself is tellingthemthat theyought to tithe,butaddedthatwhen they tithe theyarenot toomit theweightiermatters, suchas the loveofGodandjudgment.Youcan'tactlikeafoolandtithe.Thereareotherthingsyoumustconsider.YouhavetobefaithfultotheWordofGodifyou'regoingtobeatither.Jesussaysyououghttotithe.

Wasn'tthisMelchisedecthesamehighpriestAbrahambroughthistithesto?HerethescriptureissayingthatJesusisaHighPriestforever—aftertheorderofMelchisedec.JustwhatisHesayinghere?ThatJesusisaHighPriest,andthatHewilloperateinthesamemannerMelchisedecoperatedin.So,thatmeansifwewanttoknowaboutJesus'priesthoodandhowitistooperate,allwehavetodo is find out howMelchisedec's priesthood operated.What we know is thatMelchisedecreceivedthetithe!

Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers andsupplicationswithstrongcryingandtearsuntohimthatwasabletosavehimfromdeath,andwasheardinthathefeared;

Withoutfather,withoutmother,withoutdescent,havingneitherbeginningofdays,norendof life;butmade likeunto theSonofGod;abidethapriestcontinually.

Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarchAbrahamgavethetenthofthespoils.

Hereistheorder.You'vegottohavethetithe,thepersonwhopresentsthetithe,andahighpriesttoreceivethetithe.And,somewayoranother,He'sgottobeabletoreturnablessingbacktothetither.Allalongwe'vethoughtthatyoujustgivethetitheandthat'sit.Anytimeatitheisgiventhetitherisempowered.Tithingthetitheistheprocessbywhichyoupresentyourtenth.Thisisdonebyspeaking over the tithe before you sow it, planting it into the kingdom. Wepresent the tithe with words, our High Priest takes the tithe, looks over thepromisesandreturnsthepromiseforthetithe.He'llblessyouinthesamewayHe blessed Abraham. If you've got a sick body and you're standing on thepromiseofhealing,thenyououghttotakethattithethatday,inwhattheBiblecallsyourevilday,andpresentittotheHighPriest,Jesus.GotoHimandsay,”IpresenttoYoumytithe,inthenameofJesus.IspeaktoYouandsaythatYouareaHealerinmylife.”Hetakesthetithe,looksbackovertheagreementand says, "There'shealinghere. I'vegot the tithe.You'vegot thepromise.Puthealingbackonherbecauseshegavethetenth."Pleasehearandunderstandme,God'spromisesbeingkeptareallbasedonhowyouhandlethetithe.JesusistheHighPriestoverthecovenant.

Andverily they thatareof thesonsofLevi,whoreceive theofficeof thepriesthood,haveacommandment to take the tithesof thepeople... (Hebrews7:5)Theyarecommandedbylawtotaketithes.ThatindicatestomethatGodisusingthepriesttoreceiveHistithe.That'sinteresting.Accordingtothis,theonlypeoplewhocouldgointhepresenceofthecovenantwerethehighpriests.Icanjust imagine what would happen, if someone was to decide he was just as

anointedasthepriest,andgointotheHoliestofHolies.Whatwouldhappenisthathisdeadbodywouldhave tobedraggedout.Beforehewent in,even thepriest would tie a rope around himself with a bell attached. As long as folkscouldhearthebell, theykneweverythingwasallright.Butifhewentinthereand the bell stopped ringing, everyonewould know that the priest must havemessedupthatweek.Theywouldpullhimoutbytheropeandfindanewpriest.SincannotsurviveinthepresenceoftheAlmightyGod.Inthosedaysyoudidn'tseeeveryoneandhiscousinclaimingtobecalledintotheministry.

WhenGodmade that promise, even though they were yet in the loins ofAbraham,thatpromiseaffectedthemaswell.

But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes ofAbraham,andblessedhimthathadthepromises.

Andwithoutcontradictionthelessisblessedofthebetter.(Hebrews7:6-7)That'swhyJesushastobeourHighPriest.Nooneisevergoingtobebetter

than Him. But now the less, you and I, when we give our tithes will beempowered to prosper and to excel by the better. It'sHis job to carry out thepromise.TheorderofMelchisedecistheprocessoftithing.Skepticsandpeoplewhoprefernottotithewillinsistthatthesubjectoftithingdoesn'tappearintheNewTestament.However,ifyou'renotawareofwhattheorderofMelchisedecis,youwon'tknowthattheWordontithingdoesindeedappearwhenJesusisonthescene.ForyearspeoplewhocannotrightlydividetheWordhavebeentellingyouthatitdoesn'tappearpastMalachi.

SpeakingofMalachi,let'sgothere.Here'swhereitgetsalittlepersonal.Atthispoint,doyoubelievethattithingisthewillofGod?Afterreadingthisbook,howmanyofyousayyou'regoingtopracticethisfortherestofyourlife?OnlyGodknowsforsure.Someofyouareprobablysayingyou'llneverreadanotheroneofmybooksagainbecauseItookupallthesepagestotalkaboutthetithe.You're probably complaining that you don't have enoughmoney now to evenpayyourbills,andhereIcometalkingaboutreturningtenpercentofwhatyoureceive.Believeitornot,tithingisnotamoneyissue,it'sacovenantissue.IfyouwantthethingsofGod,suchasfinancestopayyourbills,youhavetoobeyHisWord.

Thisishowyougoaboutchangingfrombeinganon-tithertoatither.Firstofall,yougetyourselfinanatmospherewheretheWordisgoingforth.Don'tgoto a churchandget in an atmospherewhereyou're just shoutingandhavingagoodtime.Thatwon'tgetyourbillspaid.TheonlywayforyoutochangeistogettheWordwithunderstanding.Ifyoudon'tunderstandtheWordthat'sgoing

forth, you haven't gotten it in your spirit.Whenever I preach a sermon, yourgetting is based on whether or not you understood it. There are plenty ofpreachers preaching sermons that people aren't getting.Theymay be exciting,butnooneknowswhatwassaid.Afterreadingthisbook,youshouldbeabletogooutandexplaintithingtosomeoneelse.Ifyoucandothat,I'vedonemyjob.Ifyoucan't,readthebookagain.

WILLAMANROBGOD?Malachi3:3Andheshallsitasarefinerandpurifierofsilver:andheshallpurifythe

sonsofLevi,andpurgethemasgoldandsilver,thattheymayofferuntotheLORDanofferinginrighteousness.

Righteousnessisacovenantword.Wheneveryouhearsomeonetalkoftheirright-standing with God, or their rights in God, know that they are speakingaboutcovenant.Sowhatthisscriptureissayingisthattheymaygiveanofferingaccording to thecovenant.Realize thisChildofGod, togiveanoffering is tomakeanoffer.Justbecauseyoumakeanoffer,doesn'tmeanthat theofferhasbeenaccepted.Icanofferyou$100foryourcarandit'sactuallyworth$5,000.Just because Imake an offer to you doesn't mean that you have to accept it.LikewisewithGod.What do you think about on Sundaymorningswhen youbucket plunk your $2.50?Whatwould you say if I told you thatmaybe, justmaybe, He didn't accept it?What we need to know as Christians is when anoffering is accepted and when it is rejected, because as I said earlier, not allofferings are received. That may be a reason why you have yet to seemanifestationinyourlife.Hereyouarewalkingaroundthinkingthatyouhaveseed in the ground, andperhapsGoddidn't take youuponyour offer.You'rethinkingthatyou'regivingGodamemorialoffering,andHe'ssaying"No,youcan'tofferMethisbecauseit'snotofferedaccordingtocovenant.It'snotbeingofferedinrighteousness."

Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto theLORD,asinthedaysofold,asinformeryears.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witnessagainstthesorcerers...(Malachi3:4-5)

Sorcery.Justwhatdoyouthinkallthat'sabout?The1-900psychiclinestuff,that's what that's all about. He says I'm going to be a witness against thosesorcerertypes.

...andagainsttheadulterers,andagainstfalseswearers,andagainstthosethatoppressthehirelinginhiswages,andthewidow,andthefatherless,andthatturnasidethestrangerfromhisright,andfearnotme,saiththeLORDofhosts.(Malachi3:5)

For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are notconsumed.

Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine

ordinances,andhavenotkept them.Returnuntome.andIwill returnuntoyou.saiththeLORDofhosts.Butyesaid,Whereinshallwereturn?(Malachi3:5b-7)

He'sreferringbacktoAbrahamwhenHespeaksofthedaysofyourfathers.That word "ordinance" means order. He says, you have gone away fromMyorder.Now,youcan'thelpbutaskhere,"WhatorderisHetalkingabout?"WhenHe says return, you can't return something thatwasn't there in the first place.WhenHesays"return"thatisacleardemonstrationofexchange,andthat'swhatcovenant is all about. There's always an exchange in covenant. There's anexchangeofweaknessesforstrengths.Hesaid,"NowyoureturntoMe,andI'llreturntoyou."Inotherwords, therearesomethingsthatshouldbeexchangedhere.Somethingsthatarenolongerbeingexchangedbecauseofsomethingthathasnotbeenreturned.

WillamanrobGod?...(Malachi3:8)Answerthatquestion.WillamanrobGod?Theanswerisanemphatic,yes!

HaveyoueverrobbedGod?He'sreferringtowhatHe'sgettingreadytoexplainasarobbery.ThereissuchathingasGod-robbing.And,whatyouhavetoaskyourself is this:Am I,Christian that I am, aGod-robber?Glory toGod!Youdon'twanttogettothegatesofHeaven,onlytohaveyourrecordsshowyou'reguiltyofrobbingGod,doyou?

Yetyehaverobbedme.Butyesay,Whereinhavewerobbedthee?Intithesandofferings.

(Malachi3:8b)You'verobbedHimofthetithes,becausethat'sHismoney—notyours.But

He didn't stop at the tithe. That'swhat got tome.He said "Not only are youguilty of robbing Me of the tithe, you're also guilty of robbing Me of theoffering."

Tworobberies.Oneisbadenough,butHehasaccusedusofbeingguiltyofadoubletransgression.

Understand that theway you robHimof the tithe is to not give it up.Bykeepingitinyourwalletandputtingitamongyourstuff.That'ssimpleenoughtofigureout.But,theoffering?"ComeonGod.Don'tyouremember?Iknowitwasn'tmuch,butIgaveyou$2.50lastweek.Surely,Yourememberthat?"

Youmayhavebeengivinganoffering,buttheofferyoumadewasnotgivenaccording to covenant.An offering is not received byGod until it is givenoverandabovethetenpercent!Simplystated,youcannotgivealegalofferinguntilyoufirstofallgivea legal tithe.Youcan'tdoit,becauseit's illegal.Godwill reject your offering if you have not first committed unto Him the tithe,whichisrightfullyHis.And,whileyou'retryingtoputseedinthegroundtoget

manifestation,Godsays,"Idon'treceiveitbecauseit'snotpresentedaccordingtorighteousness,andit'snotpleasanttoMe."

Let me put this another way. My congregation blessed me with a RollsRoyce during a recent pastor's appreciation. Say for example, I give you myRollstodrive,youkeepitcontinuallyandgiveme$10eachweekforgas.Idon'twant $10 fromyou. IwantmyRolls back.GivememyRolls back.But eachweek,youcometomewiththe$10,andIreject themoney.It's thesamewaywithGod.EachweekyoucomeandgiveHimafewdollars,andit'sastenchinHis nostrils.Hedoesn'twant the offering until youhave proven to be faithfulover the tithe.Hisattitude is, sinceyou'renotgiving the tithe,He'snotgivingyou deliverance, prosperity or peace. He's not giving you anythingHisWordsaysyoucanhave,becauseyou'restillholdingontosomethingthatbelongstoHim.EverythingstopsuntilyougiveGodbackwhatisrightfullyHis.Then,He'sabletoreturnsomethingstoyou.

Don'tgetupsetandputthebookdown.Godhasprovidedawayoutforyou!

ItcouldbethatyourblessingsarelockedupinHeavenbecauseHisstuffislockedupinyourbankaccount.Iknowthismaycomeasahardsayingtoyou,but no offering is received byGod if you're not a tither. That's just the plain,simpletruth.Despitewhatyou'vebeentoldinyourchurch.Nowwatchthis:

Yearecursedwithacurse:foryehaverobbedme,eventhiswholenation.(Malachi3:9)

If you were to get hold of a Hebrew Bible, you would see that this lastscripture says, "Igiveyou finalnoticeof thecancellationofourcontract." It'sjustlikewhenaninsurancecompanysendsyouanoticeofcancellationfornotpayingyourpremiums.Ifyou'reinanaccident,they'renotrequiredtocomeandbless you because you kept what was theirs, according to the contract yousigned.

So,Godisputtingyouonnotice.Everytimeyouholdontothetithe,He'ssendingyouanoticeinthemailthatyourcontractisabouttobeterminated.

Bringyeallthetithesintothestorehouse,thattheremaybemeatinminehouse,andprovemenowherewith,saiththeLORDofhosts,ifIwillnotopenyouthewindowsofheaven,andpouryououtablessing,thatthereshallnotberoomenoughtoreceiveit.(Malachi3:10)

I've heard that the storehouse is aman of God, but I take issuewith thatstatement.Ibelieveasitisusedhere,Jesusisthestorehouse.Astorehouseisaplace where all the resources and supply come from. The supply first of allcomesfromGodtothechurch,andisthendistributed.AsamanofGod,Ican'tgiveanythingunless if is firstgiven tomebyGod. I'm thedistributioncenter.

Thestorehouseis theOneWhohasthesupplyandcanoperateasasupplier.Ican only distribute thatwhich comes intomy hands. Distributor status comesafteryou'veprovenyourself in the stewardshipdepartment.Mostpeople thinkthat a person is automatically a steward because they sow seeds into thekingdom.TheBiblesays,"Moreoveritisrequiredinstewards,thatamanbefoundfaithful."(1Corinthians4:2)

Godwillnot chooseyou tobea steward,willnotmakeyouadistributioncenter, until you're found faithful over thatwithwhichHe has entrusted you.Youmustpassthetestoffaithfulness.Hewillnotgiveyouthatwhichisyourown until you have shown yourself faithful over thatwhich is anotherman's.(Luke16:12)

Godsendsthesupplyandyourpastorinturncangivethesupplytoyou.Aslong as theWord ofGod is going forth from the pulpit of your local church,that'swhereyourneedsarebeingmet.TheWordofGod is theneedful thing.Just because you turn on the television and someone thrilled you and causedchill bumps to appear on your arms, that's not an indication to send moneydesignatedforyourlocalchurch,acrossthecountrytosometelevangelist.Heisnot the one who feeds the Word to you constantly. Suppose the program iscanceled,thenwhat?UnlessGodtellsyoutotithetoatelevisionministry,yoursowing should be done in home soil. Just because you like what you see ontelevision,thatisnotanindicationthat'swhereyourtithesaretobesent.Now,ifyou'renot getting fed inyour local church, youneed topray and askGod fordirectionastowhereyoushouldbeattending.

For those of you who attend megachurches and have a problem with notbeingabletoshakethepastor'shand,rememberthis:Yourpastordidnotdieonthecrossforyou,Jesusdid.Therefore,youdon'tcometochurchtomeetsomeman,youcometoheartheWordofGod.I'veevenheardsomepeoplesaythatbecause they pay their tithes, they have a right to meet personally with thepastor.IfyoureadyourBible,youwouldknowthatMoseswasrebukedbyhisfather-in-lawforattemptingtogovernsomanypeoplebyhimself.AwordfromGodcametohimtoappointcounselorsoverthepeopleanddividethemupintogroups. We use this system in our own church and it works well. The onlycounselingIdoisfromthepulpit.Whenmymemberscometochurchfaithfully,theygettheanswerstheyneedfrommysermons.Ifthatdoesn'twork,Ihaveacatalogoftapesonjustaboutthewidestrangeofbiblicalsubjectsavailable.Getin your mind that you don't pay tithes to meet with the pastor. It's not anadmissionticket,it'stributeandthanksgivingtoGod.Youdon'tpaytithestothepastor.Thetithesdon'tbelongtoanyman,thetithebelongstoGod.Youdon'tpay tithes to get a personal audience with your pastor, you pay them to be

blessed of God. Don't make the mistake of making your pastor your source,becauseifhe'shuman,chancesareGodisnotthroughwithhimyet.MakeGodyoursource. Ifyouspendquality time in theWord,and timegoing tochurch,andtimeprayingintheHolySpiritinafaithfulmanner,youwon'tneedtohaveanyonecounselyoubutJesus,Himself.

Godismakingyouanofferyoucannotrefuse.BringthetitheandwatchMeopen thewindows ofHeaven. Bring the tithe and seewhat I can do for you.When our church first started with eight members, every one of them weretithers. The power of Godwas all over the place.When the church began togrow, manifestation decreased. I asked the Lord why, and He told me this:"Whathappenedwasthatbefore,youhadonehundredpercenttithersandthe windows were opened one hundred percent. Then the crooks startedcoming in. Those who wanted the Word, but didn't want to pay. God-robbersstartedjoiningthechurch.Theyhookedupwithyouandaffectedthewholenation,andthewindowscloseddowntoeightypercent."

Atthatpoint,weonlyhadeightypercenttithers,whichmeanseightypercentmanifestation. It has gone steadily downward as the number of people joiningthechurchhasincreased.Themanifestationweneedisbeinghelduponaccountofthethieves,theoneswhowoulddaretorobGod.

GROSSORNET?Peoplealwaysaskiftheyaretotitheoffthegross,oroffthenetincomeof

theirpaychecks.Tithesaretakenfromtheincrease,andwhatyouareincreasedbyis thegross.Thenetonlyappearsbecausethegovernmentdoesn't trustyouenoughtosendthemtheirtenpercent,sotheytakeitoutbeforeyougetit.Ifyoupurchasedacarfor$3,000andthenturnedaroundandsolditfor$3,000doyoutitheoffofthat?No.Why?Becausetherewasnoincreaseinthatsituation.Ontheotherhand,ifyoupurchasedacarfor$3,000thensolditfor$3,500youareresponsible for tithing off the additional $500 increase. You would tithe $50fromthattransaction.Ifthere'sanincrease,there'satithe.Ifyoushouldhappento borrowmoney, there's no requirement to tithe because there is no increase.You'vejustincurredadebtthatmustberepaid.Now,you'veputyourselfintheposition of being a servant to the one who loaned you themoney. (Proverbs22:7)Also,whenyoureceiveanincometaxrefund, it isnotnecessarytotitheonthatsincethegovernmentisrefundingtheoverandabovetheytookfromyouthroughout the year. This is money that you should have been tithing on allalong,sothere'snoneedtotitheonitagain.

Thetitheisthecovenantconnector.ItconnectsyoutothecovenantpromisesofGod.Nomatterwhatyoutithe,covenantlawsaysthat'swhatyouwillgetinreturn. If you sow time,you'll get time. If you sowservice, you'll get service,andifyousowmoney,you'llgetmoney.Godcanprovideaharvestfromyourtitheintheformoffavor,araise,amonetarygift,bonusoranyothertypeoffinancialincrease.Thetitheiswhatwillhookyouuptothemanypromisesof God. Just as God told Abraham in the Old Testament to establish Hiscovenant, He is telling you to do the same thing, Child of God. When youestablishHiscovenant,Godwillcausemanifestationtooccurinyourlife.Bringthetitheandthepromiseswillcome.Wheneveryoutouchthe tithe,youtouchthecovenant.Wheneveryouhonorthetithe,youhonorthecovenant.InalltheyearsI'vebeenbornagain,I'veneverunderstoodtheseriousnessoftithinguntilnow.IneverassociatedthetitheasthatwhichconnectedmetothepromisesofGoduntilnow.I realize likeneverbefore that ifhealing ispromised toyou inHisWord,nottithingwillhinderthatcovenantofhealingfromevercomingonyourbody.IfyoufindintheWordwhereGodhaspromisedyouprotection,thentithingwillguaranteethatyougetthatprotectionyouwerepromised.

Don't let your wrong relationship with the material world stop you fromgetting what's yours. You hear a sermon on tithing, and the first thing that

happensisthatyoubecomefearfulthatthepreacheristryingtogetyourmoney.The fear comes in and the devil puts you in a positionwhere the promises ofGodcan'tcometopassinyourlife.Satandoesn'tcareonewayoranotheraboutthemoney,buthedoescareaboutyougettingwhatGodhaspromisedyou.SoyouoperateinfearthattheWordofGodwillnotcomeintoyourlifewherethebenefitsoftithingareconcerned,andyoudon'ttithe.Youthenmakethisfearaself-fulfillingprophecybecausesinceyou'renottithing,theWordofGodcannotoperatetobringyoutheblessingsGodhaspromised.

THEACCURSEDTHING

JusthowseriousdoesGod take this issueof tithing? I'veheardpeople saythatGodwithallofHislove,andallofHismercyandkindnessisnotgoingtoallow you to suffer because you neglected to bring in the ten percent to thestorehouse.

In this chapter, Iwill showyouexactlywhatGodunderstandsabout thosewhotransgressHisWordwherethetitheisconcerned.GowithmetothebookofJoshua,thesixthchapter,andwe'llbeginthisaspectofthediscussionwiththewalls of Jericho. As a child attending Sunday school, all I knew was thatsomeonewalkedaround thatwall seven times. Itwasn'tuntil recent revelationdidIcometounderstandthattithingisapartofthisstory.

In this context of scripture, they refer to the tithe as the "dedicated" or"accursed"thing.Theword"accursed"meansdevotedordedicated,sowhenyouread scripture that talksabout theaccursed thing, it is referring to the tithe. Inthosedays theycalled the tithe theaccursed thingbecause to touch somethingthat belonged toGodwould bring a curse on you. Itwas accursed because itrepresented what would happen to you if you made the mistake of touchingGod'sstuff.NoticeeverythingthatisgoingonintheseversesinJoshua,andtowheretheversesareleading.

Jericho,andthekingthereof,andthemightymenofvalour.Andyeshallcompassthecity,allyemenofwar,andgoroundaboutthe

cityonce.Thusshaltthoudosixdays.Andsevenpriestsshallbearbeforethearkseventrumpetsoframs'horns:

andtheseventhdayyeshallcompassthecityseventimes,andthepriestsshallblowwiththetrumpets.

Anditshallcometopass,thatwhentheymakealongblastwiththeram'shorn,andwhenyehear the soundof the trumpet,all thepeople shall shoutwithagreatshout;andthewallofthecityshallfalldownflat,andthepeopleshallascendupeverymanstraightbeforehim.

AndJoshuathesonofNuncalledthepriests,andsaiduntothem,Takeupthearkofthecovenant,andletsevenpriestsbearsevenrams'hornsbeforethearkoftheLORD.

Andhesaiduntothepeople,Passon,andcompassthecity,andhimthatisarmedpassonbeforethearkoftheLORD.

And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that thesevenpriestsbearingtheseventrumpetsoframs'hornspassedonbeforetheLORD,andblewwiththetrumpets:andthearkofthecovenantoftheLORDfollowedthem.

And Joshua had commanded the people saying, Ye shall not shout, normakeanynoisewith your voice,neither shall anywordproceedoutof yourmouth,untilthedayIbidyoushout;thenshallyeshout.

SothearkoftheLORDcompassedthecity,goingaboutitonce:andtheycameintothecamp,andlodgedinthecamp.

AndJoshuaroseearlyinthemorning,andthepriests tookupthearkoftheLORD.

Andsevenpriestsbearingseventrumpetsoframs'hornsbeforethearkoftheLORDwent on continually, and blewwith the trumpets: and the armedmenwentbeforethem;buttherearwardcameafterthearkoftheLORD,thepriestsgoingon,andblowingwiththetrumpets.

And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into thecamp:sodidtheysixdays.

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about thedawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seventimes:onlyonthatdaytheycompassedthecityseventimes.

And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blewwith thetrumpets,Joshuasaidunto thepeople,Shout; for theLORDhathgivenyouthecity.

So far, everyone should knowwhat this series of scriptures is about.GodgaveJoshuaandhisfolkscommandtowalkaroundthecityonceadayforsixdays,andontheseventhdaytowalkaroundthecityseventimes.Thewallwastosupernaturallyfall, tumbledown,andJoshuaandhismenweretogoinandpossessthecity.Butnow,watchthis:

And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to theLORD:onlyRahab theharlotshall live,sheandall thatarewithher in thehouse,becauseshehidthemessengersthatwesent.

Andyeinanywisekeepyourselvesfromtheaccursedthing,lestyemakeyourselvesaccursed,whenyetakeoftheaccursedthing,andmakethecampofIsraelacurse,andtroubleit.

Butallthesilver,andgold,andvesselsofbrassandiron,areconsecrateduntotheLORD:theyshallcomeintothetreasuryoftheLORD.(Joshua6:17-19)

Asyou can see,Rahab the harlotwas allowed to live because she hid thespies Joshua had sent in to check things out. Because of the covenant, she isbeingblessedassheblessedthemanofGod.And,whilethemenarebeingtoldwhattodoinordertoseevictory,theyaregivenawarningabouttheaccursedthingandtoldtostayawayfromit.Theaccursedthingisthetitheofthesilver,gold,brassandiron,andtheybelongtoGod.Justasintheseversesofscripture,thetitheisbrought intothetreasuryof theLord.Theonlythingthatcanbringabout defeat for us as well as Joshua's people, is the mishandling of God'sbelongings.Ontheotherhand,weareguaranteedtoliveavictoriouslifeifwehonortheLordwiththefirstfruitsofallourincreaseandsubstance.

Sothepeopleshoutedwhenthepriestsblewwiththetrumpets:anditcameto pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the peopleshoutedwithagreatshout,thatthewallfelldownflat,sothatthepeoplewentupintothecity,everymanstraightbeforehim,andtheytookthecity.(Joshua6:20)

That is the victory they were after, so obviously they handled the tithecorrectly.Obviously,noonetouchedthedevotedthing.Intheupcomingverse,weseetheharlotRahabandherfather'shouseholdbeingblessed.

AndJoshuasavedRahabtheharlotalive,andherfather'shousehold,andallthatshehad;andshedwellethinIsraelevenuntothisday;becauseshehidthemessengers,whichJoshuasenttospyoutJericho.(Joshua6:25)

ThisparticularpromisecametopassforRahabbecauseIsraelhonoredGodwith thededicated thing, andas I have tried to show through scripture, this iswhat connects youwith the promises ofGod.The promise being, Iwill blessthose that bless you, and curse those that curse you. (Genesis 12:3) ThisclearlydemonstrateshowvictorycancomeintoyourlifewhenyouhonorGodwiththetithe.

Ontheotherhandhowever,let'sseeifyoureallywanttocontinuetospendGod'smoneybymishandlingthetithe.You'llfindthatitjustmaybebetterforyoutoforegothattriptothemall,andgiveGodwhatisrightfullyHis.

HIDDENAMONGTHEIROWNSTUFF

GowithmenowtoJoshua7:1:ButthechildrenofIsraelcommittedatrespassintheaccursedthing...Uh-oh,somebodysinned.Somebodytouchedthetithe....forAchan thesonofCarmi, thesonofZabdi, thesonofZerah,of the

tribeofJudah,tookoftheaccursedthing...Achanhasgoneandtakenofthetithe.IsyourmiddlenameAchan?Someof

youmayhavetoanswerthatquestionbyfaith.Goaheadandsayno,we'lljustcallthosethingsthatbenotasthoughtheywere.(Romans4:17)

...and theangerof theLORDwaskindledagainst thechildrenof Israel.(Joshua7:1b)

Youcanputyourname inhere ifyou're taking the tithe.Youwonder if itmakesGodangryifyoudon'ttithe?OfcourseitmakesHimangrywhenonlyasmallpercentageofthechurchisbringingthetithestothestorehouse.Hecan'taccomplish what He wants to accomplish in the local church, because of thecrookstouchingtheaccursedthing.Thenwhathappensisthatyouhavepeoplewondering if God is on the job because they can't see the power of Godoperatinginpeoples'lives.Yes,itmakesHimangry.Readon:

AndJoshuasentmenfromJerichotoAiwhichisbesideBethaven,ontheeastsideofBethel,andspakeuntothem,saying,Goupandviewthecountry.AndthemenwentupandviewedAi.

AndtheyreturnedtoJoshua,andsaiduntohim,Letnotallthepeoplegoup;butletabouttwoorthreethousandmengoupandsmiteAi;andmakenotallthepeopletolabourthither;fortheyarebutafew.(Joshua7:2-3)

So,thespiescamebackandsaid,"Weshouldn'thaveaproblemtakingthesefolks.Therearenotthatmanyofthem.There'snoreasonwhyweshouldtroubleourselves.Justsendafewthousand."

Sotherewentupthitherofthepeopleaboutthreethousandmen:andtheyfledbeforethemenofAi.

AndthemenofAismoteofthemaboutthirtyandsixmen:fortheychasedthemfrombeforethegateevenuntoShebarim,andsmotetheminthegoingdown: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.(Joshua7:5)

What happened here is that big, bad Israel came into battle thinking theywouldeasilywipeoutthispeoplewhoshouldnothavebeenaproblem,onlytohave36menquicklydestroyedandchasedbackfromthegate.

AndJoshuarenthisclothes,andfelltotheearthuponhisfacebeforethearkoftheLORDuntil theeventide,heandtheeldersofIsrael,andputdustupontheirheads.

And Joshua said,Alas,OLordGOD,Amorites, to destroy us?would toGodwehadbeencontent,anddweltontheothersideJordan!(Joshua7:6-7)

In other words, "God, why did you bring us over here to get our buttskicked?"

O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before theirenemies?(Joshua7:8)

Whatacowardlyact.Hismenlookedlikesissiesastheyranawayfromtheenemy.Whatwashegoing tosay toall thepeoplewhoweresure tobringupthisincident?

AndtheLORDsaiduntoJoshua,Gettheeup...(Joshua7:10)Thatsoundslikesomeofus.CryingtoGodandaskingwhyHeletourlights

getturnedoff."And,whataboutanairconditioner?It'ssohotoutside,andmyhouseisburningupwithheat.Oh,GodIdon'tevenhaveacar.I'msotiredofwalking.Mybodyissick,andIjustgotlaidoff.WhereareyouanywayGod?HowcomeI'mnothealed?"

Israelhathsinned...(Joshua7:11)DoesitshockyouthatGodwouldcalltouchingthetitheasin?Mostofyou

don'tevenconsideritasinbecauseyouconsiderityourmoney.Youthinkthatyouhavetherighttodowiththetithewhatsoeveryouwill,buttheBiblesays,thatGodlooksatamanwhospendsthetitheasasinner.

...andtheyhavealsotransgressedmycovenantwhichIcommandedthem:for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, anddissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. (Joshua7:11)

All righty then.This is thepicture.Theyhavesinnedagainst thecovenant.And,insodoing,GodisnotabletobringHispromisestopassintheirlives.Hepromised victory, healing, deliverance and prosperity but He can't give themthose things. They obviously didn't see the direct relationship between thecovenantandthededicatedthing.

Howaboutyou?Haveyou takenGod's tithe andput it amongst yourownstuff?You'vedeposited tenpercent inyourbankaccountwhen it shouldhavegoneintoGod's treasury.Andif it isamongstyourstuff, justhowmanytimeshaveyoudonethisverything?Howmanytimeshaveyoumingledyourthings

withGod'sthings?Thetendencymostofushaveis tojustifystealingthetitheby saying, "Iworked and earned thismoney."But theBible hasmade it veryclear. All of the tithe of the earth is the Lord's. What you don't seem tounderstandisthatifitwerenotforGod,therewouldbenoearth,noair,noyou—soHe'sentitled toallof the tithesof theearth.Thinkabout it.WithoutGodyouwouldn'tbehere,youwouldbenothingwereitnotforHim.He'sjusttryingtotakecareofHisbusiness,andyouhavetheaudacitytotrytojustifynotgivingGodwhatisrightfullyHis.TellmeJob,didyouformyourself?JusthowwouldyoubreathewithouttheoxygenGodsupplies?Theutilitycompanywillturnoffyourlightsifyoudon'tpaythem.Yet,Godisstillallowingthesuntoshineonthejustandtheunjust.Don'ttellmeHeisnotamercifulGod.IfHewasn't,Hewould cut your oxygen off every time you didn't tithe.Don't tellmeHe's notkindandloving.It's just thatHehastohonorthecovenant.GodhastodoHispart,butwehavetodoourpartaswell.GodisnotgoingtobreakHiscovenant.Itcomeswithblessingsandcurses.

ThereforethechildrenofIsraelcouldnotstandbeforetheirenemies,butturned theirbacksbefore theirenemies,because theywereaccursed:neitherwill Ibewithyouanymore,exceptyedestroy theaccursedfromamongyou.(Joshua7:12)

For all of you who are non-tithers, I wonder how difficult a time you'rehaving standing against your enemies. You can't stand up against sickness ordisease.Youcan't standupagainst thepressuresof thisworld soyoucave in,giveup,quitandbackslide.Undernormalcircumstancesyouwouldbeable tohandle these things, but something that was once sweatless now becomes anordeal.All because you haveGod's stuffmixed inwith your stuff.That dressyou'rewearing,ifit'sbroughtwiththetithe,youknowofcoursethatit'sstolenmerchandise. I hope that weave you're sporting wasn't purchased with God'stithe,becauseifso,it'sreallynotyourhair,butGod's.

Onethingmostpeopleneverrealize is thatwhenyourobGod,redemptionhastotakeplace.TheBiblegivesyoutheoptionofgoingtoGodinrepentanceto ask for forgiveness. It says in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he isfaithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from allunrighteousness."AtleastyouhavetheoptionofgoingtoGodandtalkingtoHimaboutit.ThechildrenofIsraeldidn'thavethatsameoption.Godtoldthempointblank,"I'llnothaveanythingtodowithyouuntilyoudestroytheaccursedfromamongyou."Thatwastheironlyoption.Hetoldthemiftheydidnotfindthepersonwhotouchedthedevotedthinganddestroyhim,Hewasnotgoingtohaveanythingelsetodowiththem.NowChildofGod,that'sserious.

Iwonderwhatwould happen ifGodwere to do that today?Can't you see

howmuchmercywe'reoperatingunder?SupposeGodwere tosay,"All right,don't tithe, see if I care, Iquit. I'mnotgoing tohaveanything todowithyouuntilyou fix it."Manyofyouare living liveswhereyou'venot repaired thosetimesyourobbedGodbecause,everytimeyouthoughttodotherightthing,youfeltasifyouweren'tabletotithebecauseyoucouldn'tseehowyouweregoingtomakeituntiltheendofthemonth.Theironyofthatisthatifyou'dstartdoingwhatHerequiresofyou,He'dbeabletoshowyousomethingsyoucouldn'tsee.The very reason you can't see until the end of the month is because you'rerobbing fromGodandHiswisdom is cutoff fromyou.Thechildrenof Israelhaveonlyonewayoutofthissituation:

Up,sanctifythepeople,andsay,Sanctifyyourselvesagainsttomorrow:forthussaiththeLORDGodofIsrael,Thereisanaccursedthinginthemidstofthee,OIsrael: thoucanstnotstandbefore thineenemies,untilye takeawaytheaccursedthingfromamongyou.(Joshua7:13)

Youhave enemies folks!Thedevil is your adversary.Hewantsyoudead,poor,messed up and confused. TheBible says if you're not tithing, you can'tstand against your enemies. Satan is not your friend. He will never be yourfriend.Hewants you pitiful and inHell.Hewants to be able to laugh at youwheneverythingisoveranddonewithbecauseyou'reinHellwithhim.

SoJoshuaroseupearlyinthemorning,andbroughtIsraelbytheirtribes;andthetribeofJudahwastaken:(Joshua7:16)

Andhebroughthishouseholdmanbyman;andAchan,thesonofCarmi,thesonofZabdi,thesonofZerah,ofthetribeofJudahwastaken.

AndJoshuasaiduntoAchan,Myson,give,Ipraythee,glorytotheLORDGodofIsrael,andmakeconfessionuntohim;andtellmenowwhatthouhastdone;hideitnotfromme.

AndAchanansweredJoshua,andsaid,Indeed,IhavesinnedagainsttheLORDGodofIsrael,andthusandthus

haveIdone:(Joshua7:18-20)EvenAchanknewhehadsinned,butwehaveChristianswhotouchthetithe

andactasiftheyhavenotdoneanythingwrong.Asifistheirrighttospendallthatcomesintotheirhands.

When I saw among the spoils a goodly Babylonish garment, and twohundredshekelsofsilver,andawedgeofgoldoffiftyshekelsofweight,thenIcoveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the earth in themidstofmytent,andthesilverunderit.(Joshua7:21)

This is what some of us will do. You see the money you can keep foryourself.Youseethatyou'regivingmoneytothechurchthatyoucould'veusedtopayyour lightbill,orboughtanewdressorsuit,andyoucovetedit.When

youcovetsomething,youwanttopossessandownsomethingthatisnotyours.This is what Godwas speaking toMoses about when Hewarned him not tocovet anything that was his neighbor's.When you covet something you don'treleaseit.Youtrytotakeholdofsomethingthatdoesn'trightfullybelongtoyou.In this instance,Achanhas the stuff hidden at his house. If Iwere to askyoutodaywhereGod'sstuffwas,you'dprobablysayit'sinthebank,orunderyourmattress,orhiddeninyourshoe.

Idon'tknowaboutyou,butIammovedbywhatIreadinthesescriptures.Whatyouneedtounderstand is thatatonepoint inmylife, Ididn'tbelieve intithing. I feltas if Ihadworked toohard toget the littlemoneyIhad,only tohave somepreacher standbeforemeand tellme I had togiveup tenpercent.Thatwasoneofthose"nocompute"situationsforme,untilIwokeup.And,I'mnottalkingaboutwakingupinthespiritualsense,either.ImeanIliterallywokeup one morning and went outside to find that someone had thrown a brickthrough thewindowofmy brand new car. The first thing I askedwas, "God,whydidthishappen?"AndHesaid,"Thedevourercamein,justlikehewassupposedto."Allofasudden,IgottherevelationofthescripturethatpromisesHewillrebukethedevourerformysake.(Malachi3:11)GuesswhenIbecameatither?Ididn'twantthedevourertakinganythingfromme.Whenthathappens,themoneyyou'retryingtoholdontoisgoingtoleaveanyway,becauseyou'vegot to replace something thatwas lost, stolen or broken.Oneway or anotheryou'regoing to lose it.Whatgoesaroundcomesaround,and ifyou'restealingwhatbelongs toGod, someoneor something isgoing to stealwhatbelongs toyou.Lordhavemercy.

SoJoshuasentmessengersandtheyranuntothetent;andbehold,itwashidinhistent,andthesilverunderit.

And they took themout of themidst of the tent, and brought themuntoJoshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out before theLORD.(Joshua7:22-23)

AtthispointIwasthinking,praisetheLord,it'sallover,butitwasn'toveratall.Remember,GodhadalreadytoldthemthatHewouldnotbebackuntiltheydestroyedthepersonwhohadtouchedthetithe.That'swhatGodsaid.Let'sjustimaginewhatitwouldbeliketodayifGodhadnotgivenusthegraceandmercywe're presently under.We'd probably have a computer system that youwouldhave toaccessbeforeyoucame into thechurch. Inorder toget in,youwouldinsertacardthatwouldlifttheentrygate.Ifyouwerenotatither,youwouldbearrestedinthelobby,andbroughtdowntostandbeforethechurch.Theusherswould then hand out rocks and guns to everyone. Probably Uzi's. We'd say"Jesus" three times and thenwewould shoot all the non-tithers. Once all the

transgressorsweredead,Godwouldcomeback intoourplaceofworship,andwecouldhavechurch.OntheprogrameachSundaywouldbetimesetasideforpickingoutallofthecrooksandgettingridofthemsoGodcouldcomeintotheplace.Wedon'trealizehowfortunatewearetobeunderthismodernsystem.

Thisman's sin evenaffectedhis entire family.Theywere all being judgedbecause the head of the household transgressed the covenant. Letme tell yousomethingmen. Don't depend on yourwife to bring the tithe, you personallymakesurethetithegetsin.That'syourjobasamanofGod,andheadofyourhousehold. Your family can either be blessed or cursed based on how thathousehold is handling the tithe. I'm telling you thatGod is very serious aboutthis.AlthoughmywifeandIaretithers,wegotarevelationofjusthowseriousthisthingisduringastorminourneighborhood.Wehadsetthetitheaside,buthadnotyetsownit.Yousee,youcanhavethetithe,andhavefundsdesignatedto tithe, but seed that has not been sown has not been deposited into thekingdom. Iwoke up the nextmorning to find that the shingles frommy roofwere littering the neighborhood. I took a drive through our subdivision to seewhatkindofdamage theotherhouseshadsustained.Noone'shousehadbeendamaged, but mine. I said, "Lord, the man of God's house?" Shingleseverywhere.What'supwiththat?"ThenIrememberedastheLordspoketomeclearly saying, "You haven't made your deposit. No deposit, no return!"ThinkbacktothescriptureinMalachiwhereHesays,"Returnuntome,andI'llreturnuntoyou."Herewewerewaitingonourreturn,andGodwaswaitingonHis too. So, while we were waiting, the devourer came in and did somedevouring.Assoonaswebothrealizedwhatwehadneglected,wegotthattitheinrightaway.Aconfirmationoftheimportanceofsowingtheseedcamemonthslater when another storm hit the neighborhood, and everyone's house wasdamagedbutours.

Now, getting back to Achan. This may be a bit hard for some of you toaccept,butAchan'ssons,daughtersandeventhefamilypetwereabouttosufferforsomethingAchanneglected.

AndJoshua,andallIsraelwithhim,tookAchanthesonofZerah,andthesilver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and hisdaughters,andhisoxen,andhisasses,andhissheep,andhistent,andallthathehad:andtheybroughtthemuntothevalleyofAchor.

AndJoshuasaid,Whyhastthoutroubledus?theLORDshalltroubletheethis day. And all Israel stoned himwith stones, and burned themwith fire,aftertheyhadstonedthemwithstones.

And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So theLORD turned from the fierceness of his anger.Wherefore thenameof that

placewascalled,ThevalleyofAchor,untothisday.(Joshua7:24-26)Thisprobably seemsbarbaric andcruel to someofyou,but this is exactly

whatwasrequiredinthosedayswhensomeonemadeoffwithwhatbelongedtoGod.Notice, theLord turned fromhisangeronlyafter theygot ridof theonewho had touched the accursed thing. In chapter eight, the Lord returns thevictoryandcovenantpromisestoJoshuaandhisgang.

AndtheLORDsaiduntoJoshua,Fearnot,neitherbethoudismayed:takeall thepeopleofwarwiththee,andarise,gouptoAi:see,Ihavegivenintothyhand thekingofAi, andhispeople, andhis city, andhis land: (Joshua8:1)

AndtheLORDsaiduntoJoshua,Stretchoutthespearthatisinthyhandtoward Ai; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out thespearthathehadinhishandtowardthecity.(Joshua8:18)

AndJoshuaburntAi,andmadeitanheapforever,evenadesolationuntothisday.(Joshua8:28)

Assoonasthetithesituationwasstraightenedout,everythingelsefell intoplace.Failureanddefeat,victoryandsuccessareallbasedonhowapersonsowsthattenpercentofhisincrease.ItshouldbecleartoyoubynowthatyoucanbeconnectedordisconnectedfromthepromisesofGodbasedonhowyouhandlethemoney.And,youwonderifthisisaseriousissue.TheNewTestamentsays,in Luke 16:11, "If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteousmammon,whowillcommittoyourtrustthetrueriches?

Noservantcanservetwomasters:foreitherhewillhatetheone,andlovethe other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannotserveGodandmammon."(Luke6:13)

ThisclearlyisnotjustanOldTestamentissue,butaswediscussedearlier,itisanissueofthecovenantbetweenyouandGod.

Whenpeople start toarguewithyouover thebiblical requirement to tithe,don'tgotherewiththem.Justgivethemacopyofthisbook.Paythemtoreaditif you have to. Anything so that their mind's can be renewed concerning asubject about which the devil has not wanted the Body of Christ to get arevelation. Don't turn the subject of tithing into a debate where strife andcontention can be brought in, because that will cancel your manifestation. Ifpeoplechoosetoignorebiblicalteachingafterit'sbeenbroughttotheirattention,there'snothingyoucandoaboutthat.Theyobviouslywanttostaypoor,broke,busted and disgusted. There's no need for that, because theBible has a betterway. Nomatter howmuchmoney you plant, if you're not a tither you're notgoing to find thathook-up.Youfirsthave toget to the tenpercentbeforeyoucanoffertheelevenpercent,whichiswheretheofferingstarts.

THEDEVOURERREBUKED

Let'sgoback to thebookofMalachi for amoment,whereGod ismakingreferencetowhatHe'lldoasfarasthedevourerisconcerned.

Bringyeallthetithesintothestorehouse,thattheremaybemeatinminehouse,andprovemenowherewith,saiththeLORDofhosts,ifIwillnotopenyouthewindowsofheaven,andpouryououtablessing,thatthereshallnotberoomenoughtoreceiveit.

AndIwillrebukethedevourerforyoursakes...(Malachi3:10-11a)Thatword"rebuke"meansstop,nomore!Ifyou'rebeingdevoured,bringthe

titheandpresent itbeforeGod.Hesays,He'llmakethedevilstoptakingfromyou.YouhavearighttogotoGodandsay,"Lord,IbringthistitherightnowinthemidstofalltheHellthatI'min,andIstandonYourWord.Igiveyouthistithe.YousaidinYourWordthatYouwillrebukethedevourerformysake.Now,Iexpectthissituationthat'sonmetostoprightnow.Iknowit'smyfault.IknowIbroughtthisallonmyself,butLord,makeitstoprightnowinthenameofJesus."

Ifyou'regettingtiredoflosingeveryjobyouget,bringthetithe.Ifyourcarhasbeen repossessed, or you'vebeen evicted fromyourhome, bring the tithe.BringitandGodwillmakethedevilstopharassingyou.

...andheshallnotdestroythefruitsofyourground;neithershallyourvinecastherfruitbefore the timein thefield,saith theLORDofhosts. (Malachi3:11b)

Perhapsyou'vebeenworkingandlaboringtogetcertainthingstohappeninyourlife,andthey'rejustnothappening.Whenyoudon'ttithe,thedevourerhaseveryrighttodestroythefruitsofyourground.Youmayevenhavefruitcomeup,butitdoesn'tlastlong.Youcanmakeplentyofmoney,butstillnotbeabletotellwhereit'sgoing.WhenmywifeTaffiandIwerestartingafamily,Imadesurethatmytithesweregivenconsistently.Iwasnotabout tohavetheenemycauseanyofmychildren tomiscarry, in thenameofJesus. Ifyou'reoneof thosewomenwhogetspregnantonly to loseyourbaby,thereareseveralthingsyouneedtoexamineinyourlife.Firstofall,areyouand

yourhusbandtithing?Secondly,checktoseeifthereisstrifeinyourhousehold,andthirdly,checkoutanybiologicalissuesthatmaybecausingyoutomiscarry.In fact, you can take your tithe and sow that tithe and say,"In the name ofJesus, I have a right to the fruit ofmy body. Now, I rebukewhatever isgoingonhere,andinthenameofJesusIlinemylifeupwiththeWordofGod.IthankyouGodthatmybabyisfulltermandhealthy."

Sowforababyifyouandyourspousewantone.Don'tgiveup.Bespecific.PutyourorderinandthankGodinadvanceforyourchild.Forgetaboutgettingdepressedoverthis issue.DepressionisnotofGod.Everytimeyoupartakeofyourmarital duties, invite the Holy Spirit into that setting, and thankGod inadvanceforconceptiontakingplace.TherewerepeopleintheBiblewhodidn'thavechildrenuntiltheanointingofGodshowedup.HowabouttheShunammitewomanElishacameacross?Shehadbeenwaitingforababyforalongtime,andGehazitoldElishathatshewasbarren.

Andhe said,About this season, according to the time of life, thou shaltembraceason.Andshesaid,Nay,mylord,thoumanofGod,donotlieuntothinehandmaid.

Andthewomanconceived,andbareasonatthatseasonthatElishahadsaiduntoher,accordingtothetimeoflife.(2Kings4:16-17)

Well,justlikeElisha,I'mnotlyingwhenItellyouthattheanointingwilldowhatyou'vebeentryingtogetdoneall theseyears.Theanointingwillremovethatburdenofchildlessnessifyoudon'tgiveup,caveinandquitonGod.Everytimeyou titheyouneed toputGod in remembrancebysaying,"Lord, this ismy tithe. This ismy covenant connector, and I bring it beforeYou rightnow, and I thank You for conception and for my child. Be it unto me,accordingtoYourWord.'' Ifyou'rewalkingindoubt, thinkaboutMary.Shewastoldshewasgoingtobepregnantandshehadneverevenknownamaninthebiblicalsense.WiththeanointingofGod,allthingsarepossible.

Andallnationsshallcallyoublessed:foryeshallbeadelightsomeland,saiththeLORDofhosts.

Yourwordshavebeenstoutagainstme,saiththeLORD,Yetyesay,Whathavewespokensomuchagainstthee?(Malachi3:12-13)

Tithingisdonewithwords,somakesureyoudon'tusewordstostopyourseed.SpeakinlinewiththepromisesofGod.Don'tdisconnectyourselffromthecovenantbyspeakingwordsthatwillstopthoseblessingsintheirtracks.Wordscanstopwhatthetithehasreleased.

Yehavesaid,ItisvaintoserveGod:andwhatprofitisitthatwehavekepthisordinance,andthatwehavewalkedmournfullybeforetheLORDofhosts?(Malachi3:14)

Here'sanexampleofwhatyousaythatwillstopyourtithefromproducingaharvestforyou:"HereIamtithing,andIseethisdrugdealerdrivingabettercarthanmine."Yourwordswillstopwhatthetitheistryingtobringtoyou.

"Ohwell,Idon'tunderstand.I'mbringingmytithetothechurch,ridinginanold,beatupToyota,andthepreacherisridinginaRollsRoyce."Theregoyourwordsagain.IfyourpreacherisridinginaRolls,youneedtothankGodthatheis,becausethatmeansyoutoocanhaveone.Don'tletyourmouthstopyoufromreapingtheblessingsyourtithewillhookyouupto.Justcontinuetothinkofthattenpercentasyourcovenantconnector.GlorytoGod.

"Yeah, IhearyouBrotherDollar,butwhatamI todo if I'vebeenrobbingGod?"

Wecantakecareofthatrightnow.I'vegotadeclarationyoucanmaketogetridofthatcrookspiritthatiscausingyoutorobyourFatherinHeaven.IfyoumakeacommitmenttoneverrobHimofthetitheagain,IbelieveHe'llforgiveyouofthedebt.

"HeavenlyFather,IamconvincedbyYourWordthattithingisaWordissue.Itisacovenantissue,anditisthewillofGod.Therefore,inthenameofJesus,IwillnottransgressthecovenantIhavewithYou.NeitherwillIrobyouofthetitheanymorefortheremainderofmylife.IaskyouLord,to forgiveme. I confess thatwhen I touched the tithe, I sinned.ButYourWord says, that If I confess my sins, You are faithful. You are just toforgivemeofallmysinsandtocleansemefromallunrighteousness.ThankYouLordforforgiveness.ThankYouLordforthepromises.Iwalkinthemnow,andIboldlydeclarethatthecovenantconnectorisapermanentpartofmylife.InJesus'name.Amen."

Ifyouwill, just take timeout toworshipGodover the teachingandnewlyfoundunderstandingyouhaveofthissubject.GotoHiminprayerandtellHimthat you come before Him honoring Him with the tithe of everything that isincreased in your life. Ask the Lord to connect you with every promise HisWordgivestothoseofuswholoveHim.Asktobeconnectedtothepromiseofhealing, thepromiseofdeliverance, thepromiseofabundanceandthepromiseofprosperity.AskthateverythingHe'severpromisedinHisWordbeconnectedtoyou thisday.GiveGod theglory, thepraiseand thehonor.ThankHim forcommanding the devil to stop devouring thatwhich is rightfully yours.ThankHimforopeningdoorsthatnomancanshut,andforbringingforthfavorinyourlife. Those things you've been dreaming of and wondering why they haven'tcomeyet,thankGodthattheyarecomingnowinthenameofJesus.Don'tholdontoyourtithe,sowitasquicklyasitcomesintoyourhands.Whateveryoudo,don'tget intofearandbondage thinking that thepastor, thefinancedirectoror

someonecounting themoneywill takeyour titheanduse it forpurposesotherthanwhatGod intended it tobeused for.Yourconfidence is thatyou'vedonewhatGodcommandsofyou.WoebeituntothepersonwhothenstealswhatyouhavebroughttoJesus,yourHighPriest,inreverenceandobedience.Asyoureadearlierinthisbook,GodhasHisownspecialwayofdealingwithrobbers.Onceyou'vesownyourtithe,don'tevenallowthefearofthedeviltorobyouofthejoyofyourrighteousness.

JESUS,THEFIRSTFRUITBeforeyoucanqualifyforapromisetobefulfilledinyourlife,someonehas

togiveatithe.Notithe,nopromise.GodhadpromisesthatHewantedtogivetous where resurrection was concerned, but resurrection cannot be given toeveryoneunlessatitheisgiven.Romans11:16-18says:

Forifthefirstfruitbeholy,thelumpisalsoholy:andiftherootbeholy,soarethebranches.

And if someof the branches be brokenoff, and thou, beingawild olivetree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root andfatnessoftheolivetree...

Boastnotagainstthebranches.Butifthouboast,thoubearestnottheroot,buttherootthee.

TheAmplifiedVersionoftheBiblesaysitlikethis:Nowif thefirsthandfulofdoughofferedasthefirstfruits[Abrahamand

the patriarchs] is consecrated [holy], so is the whole mass [the nation ofIsrael];andiftheroot[Abraham]isconsecrated[holy],soarethebranches.

Butifsomeofthebrancheswerebrokenoff,whileyou,awildoliveshoot,weregraftedinamongthemtosharetherichness[oftherootandsap]oftheolivetree,

Donotboastoverthebranchesandprideyourselfattheirexpense.Ifyoudoboastandfeelsuperior,rememberitisnotyouthatsupporttheroot,buttheroot[thatsupports]you.

Child of God, what root is supporting you? Is it a root that has brokenagreementwiththecovenantofGod,orisitarootthat'sresponsibleforhookingyou upwith the covenant? I'm convinced that the reasonmost people are notseeingmanifestationofwhatGodhas promised is directly related to the tithe.You don't have a right to His promises. The agreement has been called offbecauseofyourdecisiontoholdontothemoney.WhyareyougoingtoGodtoaskHimforanythingwhenthere'snoagreement?

ButnowisChristrisenfromthedead,andbecomethefirstfruitsofthemthatslept.

For sincebymancamedeath,bymancamealso the resurrectionof thedead.(1Corinthians15:20-21)

Christbecameatithe.Godwantstenpercentofyourfirstfruits.Chancesareifyoudotithe,youpayyourbillsfirstandifyouhavesomeleftoveryou'lldowhatGodcommands.Whatyou're supposed todo isgetyourpaycheck, tithe,

and if there's anything left over, you are to pay your bills. If there's none leftover, then you have the confidence thatmyGodwill supply all of your needaccordingtohisrichesinglorybyChristJesus.(Philippians4:19)Hecan'tdothatifyoudon'tconnectfirst.Itamazesmetohearpeoplesaytheycan'taffordto tithe. In that case, you also can't afford to get healed, to prosper or to bedelivered.That'swhatyou'resaying.You'resayingthatyoucan'taffordtohaveanyoftheblessingspromisedtoAbraham.

Thatmeansyoucan'taffordtohavepeaceinthemidstofyourstorm.Youcan't afford longsuffering, or the anointing. Every promise in the covenant ispredicated on your connectionwith the covenant through your tithes. Even ifyou'reonwelfare,youcanafford to tithe—unlessyouwant tostayonwelfarefortherestofyourlife.Godneedsabridge,Heneedsawaytofunnelblessingstoyou.Asanexample,GodpresentedJesusasatitheforall.Godsawfittotitheoneman in the ground, get oneman to die and have us all connected to thepromise of being raised from the dead.Adam'smishandling of the tree in theGardenofEdencauseddeath,aseparationfromGodforeveryone.JesuscametoconnectmankindbacktoGod.

There are non-tithing people who get up in the morning to experience asweethourofprayerandmyquestiontoyouis,why?Godisnotinyourhour,anditcertainlyisn'tsweetifHeisnotthere.Non-tithingpeoplecometochurch,lifting up holy hands during praise service because they want to get in thepresenceofGod.Don't youunderstand thatHe's not there? In our church,wedon'thavepraiseteammemberswhoarenottithers.Wehaveareportthattellsussuchthings.Wedon'twantanypraiseteampersontryingtoleadusintoGod'spresence,whenthey'vealreadybeenkickedout.They'renotconnectedtoGod.Idon'twantsomeGod-robbertryingtoleadthecongregationintoworship.Whathappensinthatinstance,issincetheydon'thavethepresenceofGod,theyrelyon their talent. Talent never has and never will remove burdens and destroyyokes,onlytheanointingcandothat.

Here'ssomethingforyoutothinkabout.Thereisadifferencebetweenwhatatitherhearsinchurchandwhatanon-titherhears.Whileatitherishearingmetalk, at the same time, theHoly Spirit is speaking to them.When I openmymouthtosaysomething,apersonwhoisatitherhasalreadypickeduponwhatI'mabouttosay,becausewe'reconnected.They'veconnectedtothepromiseofrevelation knowledge exploding on the inside of them.All thewhile the non-tither sits there looking at his watch, as if he doesn't understand what's soexcitingaboutthemessage.Heseesmeasapreacherreadingscripturesthatareboringhimoutofhismind.Thatpersoncanonlysit thereandhopethatIwillsoon be finishedwith the sermon.But, right behind him is the personwho is

excitedandobviousinhisexcitementovertheWord.Thosewhochoosenottoconnect,are thosewhodon'thaveaclueas towhat isgoingon.He's tryingtofightsleep,andanxioustoleavebecausenothingishappeningontheinsideofhis spirit.The titherhowever, is tuned inandhearinghiswayoutof sickness,poverty,diseaseandtrouble.Hehasarighttoawayout.

Ifyou'rewonderingaboutmercy,yes,it'sstillherebutI'dratherliveintheblessingsofGod,thanforsomeonetohavetointercedeformeandbegGodtoshow me mercy. There are certain things I have a right to by way of myagreementwithGod.That'swhatrighteousnessis.PeoplethinktheycanneglectthethingsofGodthenfallbackongraceandmercy.Graceisnotjustunmeritedfavor.ThefulldefinitionofgraceisGod'swillingnesstogetinvolvedwithyou.Graceisnottobemisusedbecauseyou'vemisinterpretedit,butitisananointingthatproducesfavor.WhenGodshowsuptodoyouafavorit'sbecauseyougotintheplacewherefavorsarefound.Thisisthesettimeforfavor,andGodcanincreaseyouinthingsyou'venotevenaskedforbecauseyou'reconnectedtothepromises.Hejustwantstodosomethingforyoubecauseyoushowedup!

TITHINGTHETITHE

Tithingthetitheisdonewithwords.Godhasgivenusspecificinstructionsonhowtogivethetithe.It'snotjustsupposedtobethrowninabucket—that'scalled bucket-plunking. God expects that we will pray His Word over thefirstfruitswithwhichHe has blessed us, before putting it in the hands of ourHighPriest.

That thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the earth,which thoushaltbringofthylandthattheLordthyGodgiveththee,andshaltputitinabasket (or put it in an envelope in this day and time),and shalt go unto theplacewhichtheLORDthyGodshallchoosetoplacehisnamethere.

Andthoushaltgountothepriestthatshallbeinthosedays,andsayuntohim, I profess this day unto the LORD thy God, that I am come unto thecountrywhichtheLORDswareuntoourfathersfortogiveus.

And the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand, and set it downbeforethealtaroftheLORDthyGod.

AndthoushaltspeakandsaybeforetheLORDthyGod,ASyrianreadytoperishwasmyfather,andhewentdownintoEgypt,andsojournedtherewithafew,andbecamethereanation,great,mighty,andpopulous:

And the Egyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon ushardbondage:

Andwhenwecriedunto theLORDGodofourfathers, theLORDheardourvoice,andlookedonouraffliction,andourlabour,andouroppression:

AndtheLORDbroughtusforthoutofEgyptwithamightyhand,andwithan outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and withwonders:

Andhehathbroughtusintothisplace,andhathgivenusthisland,evenalandthatflowethwithmilkandhoney.

Andnow,behold,Ihavebroughtthefirstfruitsoftheland,whichthou,OLORD has given me. And thou shalt set it before the LORD thy God, andworshipbeforetheLORDthyGod.

AndthoushaltrejoiceineverygoodthingwhichtheLORDthyGodhathgivenuntothee,anduntothinehouse,thou,andtheLevite,andthestrangerthatisamongyou.(Deuteronomy26:211)

Whatthesescripturesareshowingusis that it isnecessarytogotoGodinprayer,remindingHimofthepromisesofhealing,salvation,peace,joyandallelsecontainedinthecovenantyouhavewithHim.PictureJesus,theHighPriest,presentingyour tithebefore the throneofGod.YounowhaveGod's attentionandproof that theagreement is still ineffect.This is the time togetwhateveryou need fromHeaven. This is the time to open yourmouth and speak thosethingsyou'rebelievingGodfor.Whenyoufinishpresentingyourtithe,theBiblecallsitmakinganendoftithingallofthetithesofthineincrease.

Don'teverforgetthatitisJesusyoubringyourtitheto,andnotthepreacher—notsomeman.Thepreachermaybetheonecollectingthetithes,butyouhaveplacedyourdedicatedthingbeforethethroneofGod.Ifsomeonechoosestodosomething stupid with your tithe after you've presented it, that's between thatmanandGod.You'vekept

God's commandment, anddone everything thatGod requiresof you.Onceyougetitthereyouprofess:

"Lord, I bring this tithe before You, before the covenant of promisesYou have made with my father Abraham, and with me, the seed ofAbraham. In the name of Jesus, I come before You putting you inremembrance of the promise to heal me of all manner of sickness anddisease."

Jesustakesthetitheandputs itbeforeGod.TheBibletellsyoutokeepontalking:

"IsayuntoYouLord, that Iwasasinneronmyway toHell. Ididn'thaveGodonmyside,andIdidn'thaveHeaveninmyview.Iwasinalandof bondage being defeated on all sides, But, I remember Lord, when thedoctors had given up on me, how You came and changed the report. Iremember howYou healedme and deliveredmewith signs andwonderswithamightyoutstretchedhand.IcometoYourightnowLord,thankingYouLord for the promise of complete healing according to the covenant.Now, I'm connected to Your promise withmy tithe. Now I worship YouLord,andIrejoicebeforeyouLord,andIthankYouLordforallthegoodthatYou'redoing inmylife.ThankYouformyjob.ThankYouthatI'vegotaplace to stay.ThankYou that I'mable to inhaleandexhale.ThankYouthatI'vegotabedtosleepin,andthatmyfamilyiswell.ThankYouLord.

NowGod,IdeclareinthenameofJesus,thatthispromiseYou'vemadeincovenant isbasedon the tithe I'vebrought toYou. I'veconnectedwiththepromiseandYou'vegottobringitforth.JesusismyHighPriest,aftertheorderofMelchisedec.IbelievethesystemsetinplacethatsayswhenI

bringthetithe,Youbringthepromise.Amen."ChildofGod,asyoucansee,thewordsyouspeakoveryourseedarevery

important.When you just throw your envelope in the bucket as it passes by,you'renottakingfulladvantageofthepowerinherentintheWordofGod.Thewonderfulthinghereis thatGodhastorespondtoHisWord,andbycovenantlawHehastogoonestepfurtherthanyougowhenyoumakethepresentation.TakeforexamplethecircumstancessurroundingAbraham'stithingthefirstfruitofhis flesh,his son Isaac. Jesuswouldnothavebeengivenas the firstfruitofresurrectionifIsaachadnotbeenofferedupinitially.WhenGodsetAbrahamuptoofferhissonasasacrifice,HewasobligatedbycovenanttogoastepfartherthanwhatHehadaskedAbrahamtodo.

Anditcame topassafter these things, thatGoddid temptAbraham,andsaiduntohim,Abraham:andhesaid,Behold,hereIam.

Andhe said,Takenow thy son, thineonly son Isaac,whom thou lovest,andgettheeintothelandofMoriah;andofferhimthereforaburntofferingupononeofthemountainswhichIwilltelltheeof.

AndAbrahamroseupearlyinthemorning,andsaddledhisass,andtooktwoofhisyoungmenwithhim,andIsaachisson,andclavethewoodfortheburntoffering,androseup,andwentunto theplaceofwhichGodhad toldhim.

ThenonthethirddayAbrahamlifteduphiseyes,andsawtheplaceafaroff.

AndAbrahamsaiduntohisyoungmen,Abideyeherewiththeass;andIandtheladwillgoyonderandworship,andcomeagaintoyou.(Genesis22:1-5)

Abrahamdidnottalkcontrarytowhathehadsaidinhistithingprocess.Hewent about talking according to his covenant. "Yeah, I knowGod toldme tobring my son up here to kill him, but I have a promise with God and I'mconnected. IknowGodwillhave towork this thingout,becauseHepromisedthat my seed would outnumber the stars. Isaac will have to live so he canproducesomeseedhimself,soGodwillhavetodosomething.EitherHe'sgoingtoraisehimfromthedead,orHe'sgottoprovidesomethingelseformetooffer.I don't know how this will end, but I'm in covenant and God's got to comethroughbecauseHepromised.I'mnotdisconnectinguntilIgetmanifestationofwhatI'vebeenpromised,soI'llcontinuetotalkinlinewithwhatI'mexpecting.Iknowthatmeandtheboyarecomingbackdownthismountain!"

You should take lessons from Abraham. Instead, you sow your seed andwalkoutofthechurchdoorssayingyoucan'taffordtogotolunchtoday,insteadof declaring the abundance and prosperity already promised to you in God's

Word.Orelseyouconfess thatyoucan't imagine livingin thatprettymansionyou just drove past. Not to worry. If you can't imagine it, you can't have it.Whateveryoucanimagineiswhatyoucanpossess.

AndAbrahamtookthewoodoftheburntoffering,andlaidituponIsaachisson;andhetookthefireinhishand,andaknife;andtheywentbothofthemtogether.

And Isaac spake untoAbrahamhis father, and said,My father: and hesaid,HereamI,myson.Andhesaid,Beholdthefireandthewood:butwhereisthelambforaburntoffering?

AndAbrahamsaid,Myson,Godwillprovidehimselfa lambforaburntoffering:sotheywentbothofthemtogether.(Genesis22:6-8)

Whydidn'the just turn tohissonandsay,you're theoffering?Becausehewasn'tmovedbywhathesaw.Hewasn'tmovedbyhiscircumstances.Hewasnotspeakingbasedonwhatwasactuallygoingon,hewasspeakingbasedonthepromisesofGod.JustincaseyoubelievethatAbrahamwaslying,considerthis:TheBible says inJames3:14,"...lienotagainst the truth."The truth is theWordofGod.Theremaybefacts inyour life,but thosefactsmaynot lineupwiththetruthoftheWordofGod.So,whenyouhavetochoosewhattobelieve,choose theWord of God and lie not against the truth of God'sWord. If thedoctorsaysyou'regoingtodieofcancer,theBiblesaysthatbythestripesJesussuffered prior to His crucifixion, you are healed. (1 Peter 2:24) To choosehealingoverwhat thedoctorsaid,willchange theoutcomeofwhat thedoctorsaid!

Abrahamandhissoncame to theplacewhere theycouldhookupwithallthatGodsaidtheycouldhave.Thereisaplacewhereyoucanfindoutifyou'rerealaboutthosethingsyou'rebelievingGodfor.It'stheplacewhereyoucanquitonGodandbackslide,orit'stheplaceyousaythatforGodIliveandforGodIwilldie.Idon'tknowifyou'vegottenthereyet,buteveryonewillhavetopassthattestatsomepointintheirlife.Onceyoupassthattest,you'llhearGodsay,"Now,Iknow."I'mthoroughlyconvincedthatit'seasytobeaChristian,whenit'seasytobeaChristian.

AndtheycametotheplacewhichGodhadtoldhimof;andAbrahambuiltanaltarthere,andlaidthewoodinorder,andboundIsaachisson,andlaidhimonthealtaruponthewood.

AndAbrahamstretchedforthhishand,andtooktheknifetoslayhisson.And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said,

Abraham,Abraham:andhesaid,HereamI.Andhesaid,Laynot thinehanduponthe lad,neitherdo thouany thing

untohim:fornowIknowthatthoufearestGod,seeingthouhastnotwithheld

thyson,thineonlysonfromme.(Genesis22:9-12)Seeingthatyoudidnotwithholdthetithe,seeingthatyoudidnotwithhold

your seed, I knownow.Many of you have not gotten to the place of "now, Iknow"becauseit'seasyforyoutogivea$2.50tithe,butwhenyou'reincreasedtothepointofhavingtotithe$2,000—wellthat'sanotherstory.

AndAbrahamlifteduphiseyes,andlooked,andbeholdbehindhimaramcaught ina thicket byhishorns:andAbrahamwentand took the ram,andofferedhimupforaburntofferinginthesteadofhisson.(Genesis22:13)

Instead of a lamb,God foundHis own tithe in the ram. The ramwas thesubstitute, but the promise showedup just the same.GodwantedAbraham tosowhisfruitfirst,sothatGodcouldsowHis.AbrahamwaswillingtosowIsaac,even though he ended up not having to. The important thing is that he waswilling.That'sallGodneededtoknow.HisplanwastoplantHisownSonJesusasaperpetualtithe.HeknewthattheyweregoingtocrucifyHisSon,leaveHimfordead,andHewouldbeburied.

GodknewthatHewasgoing to theverypitofhell,only to riseupon thethirdday. Jesuswas risenup the firstfruit from thedead,but if you readyourBible carefully, Jesuswas not the only one recorded to have been resurrectedthat day. Paradise was closed the day Jesus was resurrected, and all of thecaptivesaintscameoutof thatplacebecauseJesusHimselfwas the tithe.GodAlmightyistellingustobringourtithes,soHecandosomethingbetter.Ifyouthink you're giving up something, He has blessings that are exceedingly,abundantlyaboveanythingyourcouldeveraskor think. (Ephesians3:20)HesaysthatHewillhealyoubetter,deliveryoubetterandprosperyoubetter—allofthisthroughthetithe.Hewantstodoforyoubetterthantheworld'ssystemcouldeverdoforyou.He'sjustwaitingforyoutoconsistentlybringyourtithewith a willing heart. Our prayer should be to ask the Lord to forgive us fortakingthis tenpercentso lightly,andtreatingitasnothingimportant.Nowweknow,andnowwedo.

IpromisedGodthatanotherdaywouldnotgobywhenIwouldrefrainfromsayingsomethingbecauseIfearedwhatpeoplemightthink.IwillneverdothatagainaslongasIstandhereonearth.Therearesomethingsthatneedtobesaid.TherearesensitiveissuesthatneedtobedealtwithwithintheBodyofChrist.Youcannotchangepeopleby trying todealwith themthroughtheiremotions.The onlyway to change folks is by dealingwith them through the heart, andwordsare theonlyavenuebywhich toget into aman'sheart andbringaboutmanifestation. I may be in jeopardy of losing thousands of members in mydecisiontosaywhateverHetellsmetosay,butthat'sallright.IfIendupwithjust a few faithful followers of theWord of God, that's all right by me. I'mwillingtotakethatchance,becauseI'vegottoseeJesus.Godismylife.Heisthesourceofmysupply,andthesourceofmystrength,andwithoutHimIamnothing.

It's time for manifestation. It's time for people to see what they've beenconfessing,andholdwhatthey'vebeenreading.It'stimeforyoutosmellwhatyou'vebeenprayingabout.Listen!It'snotenoughfor thepreacher topreachacutelittlesermonfromthepulpit.It'snotenoughforyoutojerkandjiggleandcryandfallonthefloorandwalkoutofchurchserviceintothesamemessyoucame from. I'mhungry forpeople to see thepromisesofGodatwork in theirlives,andnot tojusthearsermonsfromabunchofministerswhowantyoutogive them a high rating on the message. It's only when people can come tochurch,understandwhat'sbeingpreached,go,doandseemanifestationcanwesay that the Word works. I'm talking about tasting, touching and seeingmanifestation.

Nowifyouwantashow,don'tcometomychurchbecauseyou'llbeinthewrongplace.Wehavecanceledamateurnightatthetheater.Peopledon'twantashowanymore,theywantWordthatwillgofromtheBibleintotheirheartsandbe reflected in their lives so they can say that manifestation time has indeedcome!
