Universal Communications ModuleUCM functions:

1. It allows programs on the onboard Non-volatile Memory ICs (“Master”, “Copy”) to be transferred to or from Comfort. This is a useful tool when doing Comfort installations or troubleshooting.

2. Comfort’s programming software Comfiguratorrequires the UCM to upload and download to Comfort.

3. It allows a PC or other controller to communicate with Comfort using an RS232 interface, allowing third party products to work with Comfort .

Reed Relay Module (RLY02)

RLY02 has 8 reed relays providing dry contacts for general purpose (low-voltage) use, eg switching cameras, controlling gates, curtains or blinds.NOT MEANT for switching Mains voltageModule can be plugged onto RIO01 or can be connected via terminal blocks to any Comfort output.LEDs on each output indicate if the output is on or off. Current Sensor (CSM03)

The Comfort Webserver Module uses an external modem to provide Internet Access for the Comfort-connected home or office. CWM comes with a built-in webserver running the Linux operating system to provide reliable 24 hourx 7 days operation. Any computer on the Internet with a browser can monitor and control their home/office by a click of the mouse. An Ethernet port can be connected to a Local Area Network allowing other PCs on the network to access the web server. Access is protected by the users PIN code. Network cameras can be connected to the network to allow the premises to be viewed remotely.The users web page is contained within the web server and may be configured according to the users zones, control points and security.

Comfort Webserver Module (CWM01)

Comfort can be interfaced to the EIB (European Installation Bus) and Clipsal C-Bus systems via the bus cabling via special UCMs; UCM/EIB and UCM/CBUS.allows two way communication between Comfort and the bus system, ie Comfort can control the EIB or CBus devices and the EIB or CBus switches can be programmed to control Comfort.

Battery Protection Module

Protect a battery from being damaged during a deep discharge when the mains supply has been off for a prolonged period, thus preventing costly battery replacements. Normally at such times Sits in line with the lead-acid battery and will cut out when the critical voltage of 10.2 volts is reached. When mains power is restored, the voltage change is detected and the module switches the battery back into circuit enabling the re-charging to continue.

Security Modes

Security Off - system is not armed, but 24 hour zones are activeAway Mode when everyone is out - phone cannot answer calls or dial. Vacation programs allow lights, TV, radio can turn on and off semi-randomly giving impression the house is occupied Day Mode to protect the perimeter doors and windows. Internal zones are inactive - arm to day if people are in the house, but awake, e.g. watching TVNight Mode to protect all zones except designated zones - arm to Night when occupants go to bed.
