Thank you Florida Health Care Plans

As our “Morning Sponsor”

There was a nice crowd of people who showed up to hear County Councilwoman, Heather Post speak to us that morning. Heather touched on a variety of items including mental health, safety issues, roads and economic development, just to name a few.

She also mentioned that we have a lot of good things going on here in Volusia County, including right here in Holly Hill. We thank Heather for taking time out of her busy schedule to join us that day.

Thank you … Bump & Grind Bar-B-Q

New name and place

After all these years, the price is going up! $$$ As of September, the price to attend the “Business After Hours” will be $10.00 BUT if you register and pay online, you will still enjoy the low price of only $5.00. We hope this will encourage all our members to take advantage of the discount and use the web site.

Many of our members have never been to the Bump & Grind featuring Bruh Bruhs Bar-B-Q. They are located at 555 8th Street a little off the main drag but certainly worth the visit.

Everyone was treated to a sample basket of pulled pork, French Fries and coleslaw. Both Flamingo Floral Creations and The Flower Market brought floral arrangements for door prizes. Although there was rain on and off most of the day, the skies were clear so it didn’t scare too many people away.

“Business After Hours” are just that …. A place to network you business in a friendly atmosphere after you normal business hours. It is also to meet some of our newer members.

“LIGHT UP

HOLLY HILL”

As the city gets ready to celebrate its 60th Annual Christmas Parade,

the Mayor, City Commissioners and the Holly Hill Chamber of

Commerce would like to invite and encourage all of our businesses

along the US1 corridor to decorate and light up their

business this year!

We hope to attract many people to the city with the lights, thus

showcasing our city’s businesses.

For more information call:

Val at the city: 386-248-9441

Or Rose at the chamber:

386-255-7311

Please join, the elected officials, city employees and chamber members as

we welcome them to the city and the chamber. All members and friends are invited to attend.

Please support our Chamber Members!

Thank you ……… I was honored with the city’s Positivity Award on Tuesday, July 23rd at the City Commission Meeting.

One of my favorite sayings is:

“Negativity is the only thing that spreads faster than wild fire.” Sometimes being positive is not always an easy thing, but lately with all the positive things happening in the city and all our new members, it’s very easy! It is my pleasure being your Executive Director.

Can you BRAG about the good products or service you received from one of our members? Let us know and the two of you can see

Laurie Taylor of Anchor Certified Planners Group said: I purchased a Legal Shield membership in order to get all my estate planning documents in order. For $24.95/month, I was able to get my Will, Health Care Surrogate, Financial Power of Attorney, and Living Will in place. A local attorney quoted me $300 for these documents, so I received a year's worth of membership for the same price. When I was getting ready to stop the service, I received a speeding ticket in Georgia (I am a resident of Florida). A Legal Shield lawyer appeared in court for me, reduced the charge, and kept me from getting any points on my license. I realized the value of having this service in place, so I kept the membership. Later on that year, my mom passed away and her husband sued me for rights to settle her estate. Legal Shield found a competent lawyer for me in Michigan (where her estate was) for a reduced rate. I thank Terry Cain Tyler of TCT for signing me up for this service.

Robin Hanger of The Car Shop/Best Priced Trailers said: I have had the pleasure of knowing John Penny for many years as a friend . My father and his worked together at Florida Power and Light. John has grown into an amazing family man just like his mom and dad, raising 2 awesome boys that are following in his footsteps

When I needed insurance for my home i talked to John and he took the time to walk me through everything I needed. After that he asked me about an old car that I have and was able to help with antique auto coverage. I now go to John with anything insurance, as well as retirement plans. I have sent many friends to him and they all thank me after talking with John. He is someone you can count on
