My handmade prints are inspired by the north east landscape and icons which reflect its industrial heritage and ancient history: Tyne bridges, Angel of the North, Cheviot hills with hidden stone age rock art. Through my collagraphs, etchings and engravings I explore their impact on our psyche.

My work follows various themes, all of which give me the opportunity to explore movement. Rapid sketchbook work of racehorses, dancers, sea and sky is developed into paintings (oil on canvas) and mixed media drawings. Although power, energy and speed feature strongly in these, life drawing provides a more contemplative aspect to my work.
