Dates & Deadlines

The Chronicle is available and delivered during the first week of each calendar month. Copy for advertising should be submitted by the 15th (or next working day) of the month before the advertisement is required. For example, an advertisement to appear in the July issue should be submitted by 15 th June.

Terms & Conditions of Advertising

1. All advertisements are placed with the Craigmillar Community Newspaper Ltd, trading as The Chronicle. The Chronicle is an independent newspaper published by the Craigmillar Community Newspaper Ltd for the people of greater Craigmillar. Company Reg. No 205722.

2. The placing of an order for an advertisement amounts to the acceptance of the terms and conditions stated. Any variations of these terms and conditions must be agreed upon in writing.

3. The buyer within these terms and conditions is the person or persons placing the advertisement with the Chronicle. They will be deemed the buyer whether they are the advertiser of the product or service or working on the advertisers’ behalf through an agency.

4. Advertisement, advert & ad within these terms and conditions are deemed to mean the subject matter to be placed within the Chronicle.

5. The buyer agrees to not breach any contract or infringe any copyright, trademark or any other right of a third party. The Chronicle will not be held liable to any proceedings regarding such breach or infringement whatsoever.

6. The buyer agrees to ensure that all copy is decent, lawful and complies with all relevant codes of advertising. The Chronicle accepts no liability for any illegality arising from error, omission or inaccuracy regarding material submitted to the Chronicle and the buyer will indemnify the Chronicle against any breach of this clause.

7. The Chronicle will not be liable for any loss of copy, artwork, photographs or other material. The buyer agrees to retain original copies and artwork.

8. All advertisements printed in the Chronicle are done so in good faith.9. The Editor, reporters or Board of Directors do not necessarily endorse the views and

opinions expressed within the Chronicle.10. The Chronicle reserves the right to modify, omit or refuse in whole or in part, any

advertisement submitted for insertion.11. As far, as is possible, the advertisement will be placed where requested although this

is not guaranteed.12. All advertised prices are subject to change without prior notice and are final unless

otherwise agreed with the editor. All advertisements will be invoiced at time of booking and the buyer agrees to payment within seven days.

13. The Chronicle does not currently charge V.A.T.14. Copyright in all artwork, copy and other materials that the Chronicle and its

employees have originated or reworked shall vest in the Chronicle and its employees.
