This season is one of my favorites. Can one really have too many pumpkin-flavored food and drink choices? Our November business meeting will be dedicated to our expecta- tions from TBW State. There will be no program meetings in Novem- ber or December. I do not have an agenda for our December busi- ness meeting at this time. I am planning a social for mid to late December. I’d like for us to ride the trolley together to look at Christmas lights. Next month, I will send an email with date and time for the social. Our membership contest has begun! The member who recruits the most new paid memberships by May 31, 2016 will receive five $20 gift cards redeemable at store of choice at Sikes Senter Mall. Winner will be awarded at June 2016 business meeting. I have business cards for you to pass out to friends and acquaintances. If you need cards, please get in touch with me. My goal is for our local club to double the membership by end of this fiscal year. Be on the lookout for an email with link to Survey Monkey. Let’s be prepared for growth from membership contest. Do we stay at Jason’s or consider going back to Wichita Falls Country Club? Please re- spond to email and let your thoughts and preferences be known. Tickets to February 2016 Home and Garden Show will be available in November. Each member is asked to sell or purchase at least 6 tickets in order to fund our scholarship program. Diane Hoskin is our contact person. I pray each of you has a wonderful holiday season with family and friends.

President’s Letter by Kim Fagan, 2015-2016 President

I extend warm holiday greetings to each of you. This season is one of

my favorites. Can one really have too many pumpkin-flavored food and drink choices?

Our November business meeting will be dedicated to our expecta-tions from TBW State. There will be no program meetings in Novem-

ber or December. I do not have an agenda for our December busi-

ness meeting at this time.

I am planning a social for mid to late December. I’d like for us to ride

the trolley together to look at Christmas lights. Next month, I will send

an email with date and time for the social.

Our membership contest has begun! The member who recruits the

most new paid memberships by May 31, 2016 will receive five $20 gift cards redeemable at store of choice at Sikes Senter Mall. Winner

will be awarded at June 2016 business meeting. I have business cards

for you to pass out to friends and acquaintances. If you need cards, please get in touch with me. My goal is for our local club to double

the membership by end of this fiscal year.

Be on the lookout for an email with link to Survey Monkey. Let’s be

prepared for growth from membership contest. Do we stay at Jason’s

or consider going back to Wichita Falls Country Club? Please re-

spond to email and let your thoughts and preferences be known.

Tickets to February 2016 Home and Garden Show will be available in

November. Each member is asked to sell or purchase at least 6 tickets in order to fund our scholarship program. Diane Hoskin is our contact

person.

I pray each of you has a wonderful holiday season with family and

friends.

(Back Row L-R) Lynda Cannedy, Carol Dorrough, Norma Priosock, Janna Lee, Jennifer Blackwell and Tina Haapala. Ms. Slay-Barbara shared news from the state level of TBW.

Texas Business Women Sue Crain, President Elect, wel-comed Mr. Steve Garner, (L) Chairperson for Lake Wichita Revitalization Committee and Mr. Tom Lang, Supervisor for the Parks & Wildlife Fish-ery. Both gentlemen present-ed a wonderful overview of the committee’s work to bring about a new beginning to revi-talizing the lake for the citizen of Wichita Falls to enjoy as well as visitors who come to our city.

October 25th, 2015 was the 27th anniversary of Congress passing the Women’s Business Owner-

ship Act of 1988, which, among other things gave women the right to sign for loans on their own.

This law also established the National Women’s Business Council. Check out their web page at
