Flexiform, who have supplied furniture to the British Museum for the past 30 years, were invited to quote for the provision of a number of new items alongside others selected by the architect and the internal project team.

This project was for the British Museum Members Room. The aim of the Members Room is to create the perfect setting to take some time out over coffee or lunch, and to plan or reflect upon your visit. Facilities include a Members’ café and study area.

Flexiform came back with the closest match to the client’s brief while remaining within budget. On appointment, the architect’s concept was further refined in a three-way process with both the client and Flexiform, who supplied thicker than normal padding on lounge chairs, and a sofa to fit the Members Room space. Flexiform supplied not only the furniture, but also a range of floor-standing lighting.
