A Message from His Grace Bishop Youssef

My Beloved Brethren & Children,

I wish you all a healthy, joyous, prosperous, and spiritual New Year. In health, I

encourage you to take care of your body because it is a gift from God and the

temple where He dwells. Nourish your body with healthy food and drink. Avoid

over-indulgence, pollution, and do what you can to preserve a healthy, safe, and

clean environment for yourselves, your children, and future generations to enjoy.

In joy, I encourage you to accentuate the positives and if and when confronted

with any negatives, then seek solutions and pursue improvements. Be a problem-

solver! Perceive every challenge as a juncture of opportunity and not as a final

destination. In prosperity, I encourage you to build your confidence on Christ

our Lord. He is our King and the riches of the world are not our goal. Our goal is

His presence amongst us. He fills is with every good thing. There is nothing that

we lack in Him. Therefore, we are rich, strong, and beautiful in Him. In spiritu-

ality, I encourage you to have your hearts and minds always focused on the Lord

Jesus Christ. Pray, contemplate, serve, grow in faith, and replenish your souls in

the love of Christ our God. Glory to the Holy Trinity, forever, AMEN!

Kohl's department store hosted a contest on Face book to give away $500,000 to the 20 schools that receive the most votes in their contest. Everybody was encouraged go online and vote for St. Clement Coptic Orthodox Acad-emy, Nashville, TN. Each person is allowed 20 votes (up to 5 for a single school) and we need 5 of those 20 votes to go to St, Clement Cop-tic Orthodox Academy, Nashville, TN. The ended on September 3, 2010. We also wanted to extend help another Coptic School in VA called Good Shepherd Christian Academy. Since every one will have up to 20 votes, so 5 votes can be towards St. Clement while another 5 votes can be towards Good Shepherd Chris-tian Academy. A Coptic New Year with HOPE

H.O.P.E (Help Other People Excel) has been blessed with many great achievements in the short interval between Easter and this Coptic New Year. Through the grace of God; we have also been blessed with an increasing number of friends and servants that are helping us in different ser-vices. We would like to take a moment at the beginning of a blessed Coptic New Year and share these achievements with you and ask you to pray for us and for our service.

Nashville Flood Aid

H.O.P.E was in contact with the priests of the churches in Nashville immediately after the disastrous floods and con-nected the congregation with FEMA for recovery of some of the families’ losses. Additionally, many generous donors provided immediate relief fund of $14,000.00 to help the unfortunate families in Nashville who had lost all their be-longings and their jobs at the same time and were minimally compensated by FEMA. H.O.P.E as well as the priests of the Nashville churches are very appreciative of your prompt response to their call for help and your immediately gener-ated relief fund.

Coptic Mission in Kenya

Through the grace of God, a large container filled with medi-cal equipments, computers, bibles, school supplies and lots of cloth was sent in support of the Coptic Mission in Kenya. The estimated value of the contents of the container ex-ceeds the $300,000.00. We like to thanks our generous do-nors who provided most of the contents of this container. May the Lord reward everyone who labored in this service and we hope that it would be a blessing to the Coptic Mis-sion in Kenya.

Second Bone Marrow Drive HOPE has taken the initiative of increasing the number of registered possible bone marrow donors from our congrega-tion to increase the chances of those who are afflicted with different types of blood or bone marrow cancers of finding a matched bone marrow donor and thus findings a cure.
