The Atlanta Streetcar System Expansion

KEY EXPANSION CORRIDORS:

> Atlanta BeltLine East Streetcar

> Atlanta BeltLine West Streetcar

> Crosstown Midtown

> Crosstown Downtown

In November 2016, Atlanta voters authorized funding for a $2.6B expansion of MARTA. The list of projects to be funded by the referendum includes 48 miles of new light rail and streetcar transit. Currently, more than 16 of those expansion miles are undergoing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) docu-mentation in preparation for future project delivery. Specifically, the Atlanta Streetcar System Plan is designed to:

> Grow ridership with new connections to significant origins and destinations.

> Improve mobility options within the City of Atlanta and emphasize access between existing economic centers and equity target areas.

> Realize the vision of the Atlanta BeltLine, and other aspects of the Atlanta Comprehensive Transportation Plan that encompass transit, trails and connectivity.
