Cosmetic Dentistry has grown massively over the last 10 years, and with it patient expectations. Those dentists who have invested in their education are finding that their practices are more successful, more profitable and more enjoyable to work in. This course is designed to give you a firm foundation in what it takes to build the aesthetic restorative side of your practice. We start with the basics of smile design, and then month by month we add to your confidence with seminars and hands-on sessions covering everything from minimal intervention aesthetics to full smile makeovers with porcelain veneers. The course has the advantage of being designed and delivered by two outstanding educators, Dr Ian Cline and Dr Joe Oliver. Together they have taught the year certificate course in Aesthetic Dentistry for 7 years; in addition they are in demand both nationally and internationally as speakers in Aesthetic Restorative dentistry.

Cosmetic Dental Seminars' Certificate Course in Aesthetic Dentistry runs from April to December (9 days, 63 Verifiable CPD hours). The next intake starts Friday 10th April 2015. The course is held at a number of prestigious venues all within Central London.The Course is designed for all dentists who wish to update their knowledge, treatment planning and technical skill in cosmetic dentistry. The course will consist of lectures, structured tutorials, demonstrations, videos, evaluation of scientific papers, and hands on sessions. Each month you will receive a “homework” pack which includes written material and relevant papers. The course is fully supported with  scientific literature so you can be sure that you are working to "best practice”. All those who have attended the course are created members of the British Cosmetic Dentistry Society (BCDS), www.bcds.info and may use it’s logo, website, discussion forums, and receive invitations to exclusive events.

HANDS ON SESSION ALL DAY Tooth preparation for all ceramic crowns, inlays and onlays. Veneer preparation in detail, will include the opportunity to prepare individual phantom head teeth for veneers, all participants will then prepare an 8 unit case for a “smile makeover”, utilising diagnostic waxups, 3 different putty stent guides and the APR/APT technique discussed in the previous session. DO I HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR ALL 9 DAYS ? The course is structured in such a way that many of the days relate to each other. It would be unfair on ourselves and yourselves to allow participants to pick and choose particular days. For example, the principles of Smile Design and Treatment planning on Day 1 relate to Day 2’s Computer Simulation practicals, without knowing one days material you would find it difficult or impossible to follow another days material.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I MISS A DAY ? Provided ideally we have a few weeks notice that you cannot attend a particular day we would be more than happy to accommodate you on the equivalent day for the following years intake without further charge.

HOW MANY CPD HOURS CAN I CLAIM ? Each day is rated at 7 hours Verifiable CPD. The 9 day programme awards a certificate of 63 Verifiable CPD hours.

Fees for the course are £560 per month, total for the 9 days is £5040, there are no hidden extras. Bur kits, Manuals, Refreshments, End of Year Dinner, etc. are included in the price.
