AWARDS CRITERIA

JUDGING PANELThe judging panel will include the Chair of the ACI EUROPE Leadership and Human Resources Forum, as well as the Chairs of the four other ACI regional Human Resources Committees.

INTRODUCTIONThe ACI EUROPE HR Excellence Award was created in 2017. The ACI EUROPE Leadership and Human Resources Forum, established in 2013, wishes to recognise individuals who have demonstrated excellent leadership and human resources management among the ACI EUROPE Regular Members. The objective of this new annual award is to give exposure to excellence that will help the airport community better assess and implement the new procedures and skills needed to develop the industry’s workforce, looking at the various challenges facing HR Directors and airport leaders, such as mobility,

succession planning, training, well-being and digitalization. Recognising that the HR management is increasingly involved in the strategic development of an airport, and contributes to the social and economic fabric of the airport community.

APPLICATION AND PROPOSED RECOGNITION CRITERIAThe application should be no more than 12 pages of A4 paper including references and appendixes. It is recommended that candidate airports provide information to support the arguments, for example, evidence of best practice developments or testimonial from employees and industry partners. The application should provide an analysis of why and how the individual candidate or executive has contributed to successful HR management, with the objective of sharing this expertise with the ACI EUROPE community.

This year, the proposed recognition criteria will be aligned with the theme of the ACI World/ACI EUROPE Annual Congress “Airports as Brands and Businesses”:Airport brands are a powerful tool for attracting, engaging and retaining talented candidates and employees, by means of uniting the organisation and creating an environment where the company is viewed both internally and externally as an employer of choice. Airport brands also enhance employee engagement, transforming them into the company’s ambassadors and inspiring them to create superior results. Share with the airport community your experience and expertise, from the human resources point of view. The jury members will look for evidence on how you conducted your research and developed your methodology, rallied your workforce and teamed up with other departments, identified the stepping stones, completed the process and achieved proven success.

DEADLINE FOR YOUR ENTRY:All entries should be received in an electronic format, together with the

entry form and administrative fee of €500, by Friday 6th April 2018. The winner will be announced at the Gala Dinner of the ACI EUROPE and ACI World

General Assembly, Congress and Exhibition 2018 in Brussels.
