INVITATION
Ever year, The ALA and Porphyrin Research Society organizes a conference to foster scientific
development and contribute to clinical practice.
The 7 th International ALA and Porphyrin Symposium (IAPS7) will be held at Hokkaido University in
Sapporo, Hokkaido Japan on December 7, 2019.
This symposium will be hosted and chaired by Dr. Sadao Kaneko, Emeritus Director of the Hospital,
Kashiwaba Neurosurgical Hospital.
The Advisory and Organizing Committee cordially invites you to attend the Symposium and
participate in its scientific and social programs. The main theme of the Symposium will be on
“Innovation for Treatment of Refractory Diseases by Research on 5-Aminolevulinic Acid (ALA) and
Porphyrins -Started from Brain Tumor to Mitochondrial Diseases-”.
This Symposium will provide a forum in the science of ALA and Porphyrins and related compounds
not only to present the recent studies but also to hold discussions on new perspectives in the 21st
century. The Advisory and Organizing Committee hope to organize a symposium both instructive
and memorable for researchers in various fields (medical science, chemistry, pharmacology,
agricultural biology etc.) from around the world.
We welcome your participation in this conference. We hope to see you in Sapporo in December
2019

SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM
Presentations will consist of two categories, several invited lectures and oral presentations. The
Committee hopes all of you present a paper. The official language of the Symposium will be
English.

web site (http://porphyrin-ala.com/IAPS7) and follow the instruction. Please copy and paste the
following form, complete it, and send the form via e-mail to Associate Prof. Shun-ichiro Ogura with
“Presentation” as the subject until October 31, 2019.
