Welcome to NANO 2018

NANO Conference, spearheaded by International Committee on Nanostructured Materials (ICNM),

has been acting as a traditional meeting place for most nanomaterials researchers, where the

state-of-the-art research and latest advanced findings in the field are presented. A range of topics

at the frontier of knowledge in the field of nanomaterials will be discussed and a wide number of

scientific talks will be given by distinguished scientists in plenary and parallel sessions. ICNM

initiated the first flagship event in Cancun, Mexico, in 1992. Since this inception, 13 top-level

biennial flagship events have led an impactful existence across the globe —in Stuttgart, Germany in

1994; in Kona, Hawaii, USA in 1996; in Stockholm, Sweden in 1998; in Sendai, Japan in 2000; in

Orlando, USA in 2002; in Wiesbaden, Germany in 2004; in Bangalore, India in 2006; in Rio de

Janeiro, Brazil in 2008; in Rome, Italy, in 2010; in Rhodes, Greece in 2012; in Moscow, Russia, in

2014; and in Quebec, Canada, in 2016.

The 14th International Conference on Nanostructured Materials (NANO2018) will be the first

conference to be held in China by City University of Hong Kong. Its key priority is to establish Hong

Kong as the a prominent nodal point of ICNM, to serve as an effective platform in the regional

cluster for academic experts and students from top institutions around the world sharing their

research achievements, to exchange ideas, to establish relationships for future high-level

researches in the Nano field, and to yield symbiotic experience for world-leading scientists,

delegates and sponsor firms alike.

The 2018 Conference will consist of stimulating program of plenary sessions, keynote speeches,

panel discussions, poster presentations and exhibitions in nano-science and nanotechnology. We

aim to make the conference a genuine two way process and as such, technology knowledge

transfer, commercialization and industrialization can be further enhanced through the interactivity.

Terms and Conditions

1. Sponsorship is accepted based on a first-come-first-serve while NANO 2018 reserves the right for the final decision.

2. There is no refund for any cancellation of sponsorship after payment.

3. The sponsorship fee does not include free conference registration unless specifically stated in the sponsorship

opportunities details.

4. Sponsors are not allowed to sublet, assign or apportion any part of the sponsoring item(s) nor represent, advertise

or distribute literature or materials for the products or services of any other company(ies) or organization(s).

5. NANO 2018 will not be liable for any damage or loss to a sponsor’s properties through fire, theft, accident, or any

other cause, whether the result of negligence or otherwise. Sponsors are encouraged to take out appropriate

insurance coverage to cover for such potentials losses, where possible.

6. No part of an exhibit and no signs or other materials may be posted, nailed, or otherwise affixed to walls, doors or

other surfaces in a way that defaces the premises or equipment and furnishings. Damages from failure to observe

the notice is payable by the sponsor.

7. The event programme may be subject to change without prior notice.

8. The event will be cancelled if a No. 8 typhoon signal or above is hoisted or the Black storm warning is raised three

hours prior to the start of the event.

9. Bank charges incurred by the Organizer due to incorrect submission of bank drafts will be recharged to the responsible exhibitor / sponsors.
