Washington: Fast Facts• The graduation rate increased 6.2 percentage points from 2017 to 2018.• Washington’s progress score of 81.9 on the most recent CCRPI report was 

higher than the district’s score and was 1.1 point away from the state’s score.

• Our school climate rating has been trending upward over the last three years on the student, personnel and parent surveys.

• School suspensions have been trending lower than the previous school year.  

• A 9th grade academy has been implemented. The emphasis for the academy is on improving literacy and numeracy skills, daily attendance and assisting with the transition to high school.

• The STEM Signature Program is currently in Phase 2.• The STEM Team has established a STEM Advisory Board that currently 

meets twice a year to assist with the implementation of the STEM curriculum.

Washington: Next StepsAs we continue to focus on schoolwide improvement, we will:1. Conduct a 12 week twilight school to continue assisting students that 

need to gain credits for an on‐time graduation.2. Conduct a summer bridge program for rising 9th graders with a focus on 

literacy, numeracy and project based learning (STEM focus).3. Continuously highlight student academic and attendance achievements 

and improvement.4. Assist identified students in targeted instructional study skills courses 

during the next term.5. Continue building the STEM program through active recruiting, 

implementing PBLs, and seeking program certification.6. Continue to secure grant funding to support STEM  initiatives.7. Host our first Washington Cluster Parent Conference on March 18, 2019

• Five students are on track to graduate with an Associates Degree and High School Diploma May 2018

• Football:  Competed in the First Round of the AA State Playoffs for the first time since 2011
