Thames
an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
The flat 2 mile linear route to Hartlock Woods is not recommended for users of manual wheelchairs due to stony surfacing, however there is a short length of path along the River in Goring which has a smooth surface.
From Goring follow a quiet residential road for ½ mile to the edge of the village. From there the surfacing is firm but uneven to Gatehampton Manor (there are many puddles after rain). From the Manor the path is natural but firm, though it may be muddy in places after rain. After nearly 2 miles the Trail enters woodland. Those wanting a “challenging” path can continue for
mile alongside the River, before the path becomes steep and the surfacing difficult.
Car parking is pay and display, blue badge holders park free.
Public and disabled toilets (RADAR key) next to the car park.
Nearest refreshments are in Goring.Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control.
