May 19 2011 TERM 2 WEEK 4

First, we did activities that were aimed to help us meet new people. The activities were in a booklet. We then moved on to watching examples of leadership that were in movies. In our second session we learnt about taking action. We learnt that some people do nothing, some people complain and that leaders take action! We also learnt about different methods of leadership. These are:Fire Fighter: actively does a taskPolice Officer: gives lots of good instructionsAmbulance Officer: cares for othersThey also taught us some great public speaking tips!Overall, it was a great day and we learnt loads of great leadership skills!!!Thank you to Miss O’Callaghan for driving us to Canberra.By Penny, Will, Maddy and EbonyCPS Student Executive

MEDICATIONIf your child requires medication to be given at school, please come to the front office and fill out the necessary paperwork. Thank you.

IMPORTANT NOTICECould you please refrain from using nuts/nut products (peanut butter, rocky road, biscuits) in your child’s/children’s lunch boxes. We have children at our school that have an allergy to these. This can be a life threatening condition if they come into contact with them. Thank you for your care and consideration.
