The Objectives

PSG College of Technology, established in the year 1951 by the

PSG & Sons' Charities, Coimbatore, is one of the premier

institutions of the country and is an excellent centre for advanced

studies and research in several areas of Engineering, Technology

and Management. The College has been granted autonomy

status since the year 1978. PSG College of Technology believes

in creating and disseminating knowledge and skills in core and

frontier disciplines through innovative educational programmes,

industrial training, research and consultancy and developing a

new cadre of professionals with a high level of competence, deep

sense of social commitment and ethics.

“The Mission of PSG College of Technology is to provide

world-class education, foster Research & Development,

evolve innovative applications of technology, encourage

entrepreneurship & ultimately mould young men and women

into professionals capable of assuming leadership of the

society for the betterment of our country”.

The city of Coimbatore, known as the Manchester of South India,

is blessed with a salubrious climate. The city is endowed with

large number of Educational Institutions, Textile Mills, Foundries

and Agro-based Industries. Hill stations like Ooty, Kodaikanal,

Mudumalai – Wild life Sanctuary and Top Slip are within easy

reach from Coimbatore.

Successful people exhibit values and ethics in their leadership

style and actions. Leaders who exhibit ethical behaviour

powerfully influence the actions of others. People who live up

their values supported by social concerns are successful in all

walks of life and good role models for future generation. Values

and ethics are considered to be the most important qualities for

sustainability because it helps to take clear choices among what

is right and what is wrong? A human group with values and ethics

alone can ensure peaceful coexistence and socio economic

development. It is generally felt that students are going to be the

future leaders of this nation. Hence it is believed that if these

value practices find place in their curriculum, it will cause

significant impact in the actions of the present students in the later

part of their career. The main objective of this conference is to

provide a platform for leading minds to share their experiences

and expertise on the value which deal with today's challenges in

the global markets by Integrating Humanistic Values and Social &

Environmental Concerns with Technical Education.
