Presentation Notes
There have been 6 NIH-funded studies that demonstrate efficacy & durability. CBT4CBT is a web-based program that teaches a variety of CBT skills that are specific for helping people to reduce substance abuse. It’s a self-guided web-based program that uses movies and examples to teach skills. There are 7 modules and they each take about one hour to complete. Usually people do one per week, in any order and at any pace. There are versions for alcohol/drugs and alcohol alone. It is also available in Spanish. Requires only basic reading skills and doesn’t require computer skills

Teleservices and Client Supervision and Monitoring

Presenter
Presentation Notes
In the world of health care, providers use “remote patient monitoring” technology to collect, track, and transmit patient health data, sometimes on an ongoing basis Example: chronic respiratory failure patients device monitors oxygen saturation of patient's blood and transmits vital statistics through the phone line Information sent to a receiving station where a nurse is available to provide a real-time remote consultation
