Irrigation (1997-2001)

� Goal: Gain wide scale experience with Systems(reliability, economics, social acceptance)

� 100 PVP systems for drinking water(7 countries)

� 10 PVP systems for irrigation ( 3 countries)

� Result:

• High technical performance

• Economically competitive in the range ofsmall Diesel pumps (< 4 kW, < 1.600 m4)

Conclusions• Demand for technologies frequently derived from

national or sector planning

• Dissemination and marketing on a commerciallysound bases

• EST must have the chance to be competitive

• CDM may help in the promoting ESTs.
