1 INTRODUCTIONThis document provides the technical update for Auto Upgrade Consumer Box (AUCB) software, version 3.14 and the image profile which should be used together at the same time.

For more details, please refer to section 3 below.

2 REASONS FOR RELEASE In this release, this new AUCB version 3.14 program displays the whole cosumer box’s image version as in the terminal version page.

3 RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION GUIDES

3.1 Install program AUCB3.14

3.1.1 Unzip the program AUCB3.14 and then double click on AUCB3.14 setup.exe to

install the program.

3.1.2 After installation of the AUCB 3.14 program, double click on the AUCB program icon in order

to start upgrading of the user terminal. After double-click on the AUCB 3.14 program, there will be

pop up dialog box to load the profile first. Only after loading the profile to the AUCB program, the

upgrade of the user terminal can be done.

Note: After the program AUCB3.14 is installed on the PC, the installer needs to load the suitable

profile used for that UT, for example, load PACB_013_013_G001-T000_TG034-RC018 (these suitable

profiles can be downloaded from http://www.support.ipstar.com/) to program AUCB 3.14 as shown

in figures 2 and 3. (Need to unzip the profile first)

Warning: Using “PACB_013_013_G001-T000_TG034-RC018” is just an example of

demonstration AUCB3.14 program and image profile. Please select the correct image profile

for that gateway.

3.1.3 AUCB 3.14 program automatically detects the current imagre profile after key in correct IP

address and click “Connect”. From the screenshot below, after connecting to the consumer box,

the current image profile on the consumer box is detected as follow:

3.1.4 Although AUCB program detects the consumer box profile and the type (for example: M3), if

user mistakenly loaded wrong consumer profile for different model .i.e. M4, there will be error

dialog box after clicking on the “Start Update” button.

3.1.5 In case, if you have already loaded the wrong profile or old profile on the AUCB program,

the new profile can always be loaded by clicking on the button “Load Profile”.

3.1.6 After clicking “Load Profile”, the “Open” dialog box will pop up to choose the profile from

the computer.Thereafter, select the suitable profile from the dialog box and click “Open”.

3.1.7 Once the suitable profile is chosen and opened, AUCB program will be showing as below:

3.1.8 After the profile is loaded, the consumer box can be started upgrading by clicking “Start

Update” button.

After this step, there are no other changes in the AUCB procedure from the last version.

4 SUMMARY OF NEW FEATURES & CHANGES

The summaries of new AUCB version 3.14 program are listed as below.

4.1 The previous version 3.13 program sometimes does not display the full image version but in

this 3.14 version, the full image version can now be displayed.

4.2 Support latest Windows OS.

AUCB V3.14 Support up to Windows 8.1 (64 bit).

5 OPERATIONS CONSTRAINTS

1) Updating is performed in both default and factory software and firmware.

2) To avoid any damage to the IDU, do not turn off or disconnect the LAN cable of the IDU

during the upgrading process.

3) If the selection of target UT or profile is wrong, the AUCB version 3.14 will not be

upgraded.

Please follow the step as below:

i) Uninstall older version from the PC.

ii) Then, Install the new version 3.14 from the set up.
