Existing AVR Drawings
Following Drawings/ Information
1. Functional Requirements of AVR
The Automatic voltage regulator ensures stable operation of the synchronous
generators in the entire load range. It ensures very fast recovery of generator voltage
following changes in load demand. The protective features ensure safe operation of
the generator. The equipment automatically regulates the output voltage of a
synchronous generator by providing it with a controlled field supply via an exciter
generator. The equipment is active over the entire load range with negligible dead
band.
