2.1.-PUMPINGSYSTEM:Foraproperwaterfiltration,EMAUXrecommendsthatthetimerequiredfortreatingtheentirewatervolumeofthepool,alsocalledturnover,mustbe4hoursforSemi-Olympicpools.Consequently,theflowratecalculatedis:

2.3.-FILTRATIONSYSTEM:Oneofthemostimportantparameterswhendesigningthefiltrationsystemisthefiltrationvelocity.Itisthespeedofthewaterpassingthoughthefilter.Thelowerfiltrationvelocity,thebetterwaterquality.Therecommendedfiltrationvelocitiesarerepresentedbelow:Accordingtothenumberofpumpscalculated,weadvisetoinstall,atleast,samenumberoffilters, so the general operation systemwill bemuch easier and the filtration systemwilloperatecontinuously,evenwhenbackwashingorservicingonefilterorpump.

2.2.-POOLFITTINGS:

Foragoodwaterquality,itisnecessarythecorrectdesignofthewater circulation equipment, such as skimmers or overflowchannel,maindrain,returninlets,etc.For Semi-Olympic pools, EMAUX recommends to build thefittings basedon thedown/up recirculation circuit. Thismeanstoinstalltheinletnozzlesinthebottomofthepool,andoverflow

channelinsteadofskimmer.Withthisway,thechemicalsaddedintheprocess,aswellastheheatwater(ifany),willbedistributedhomogeneouslyallaroundthewaterofthepool.Thequantityofthereturninletsandmaindrainswillbedeterminedaccordingtothetotalflowrateoftheinstallationandtheflowallowedforeachfitting.Ontheotherhand,werecommendtoinstalltheoverflowchannelallaroundtheperimeterofthepool.Regardingthedimensionsoftheballasttanks,ithastohaveaminimumcapacitytocollectthewaterofaprox.10%ofthepoolwatersurface.PleasecontactEmauxformoreinformationaboutthedesignoftheballasttank.

According to the purpose of the pool (training), we recommendthedisinfectionsystembasedonUltravioletSystemandchemicaldosingpumps in order to obtain theminimum levels of chlorinerequired.Ultraviolet technology is a non-chemical approach todisinfection.
