Altitude London has convenient transport links to most Olympic venues. We are only ten

minutes walk from Westminster (Jubilee Line – 10 stops to Stratford Olympic Park), Pimlico and

Vauxhall (Overland & Victoria Line) tube stations. We are also five minutes from Horseguards

Parade where the Beach Volleyball will be staged.

Perhaps most notably, Altitude London is directly opposite Millbank Pier on the River Thames

to enable easy chartered or scheduled river boat transit past many of London‟s landmarks and

Altitude 360 Black

• A brand new venue with sleek monochromatic designs which

encapsulate the entire 28th floor of Millbank Tower, featuring gleaming

black tiled floors and 360 degree windows providing panoramic views

of London. This stylish and versatile venue comes fully equipped with

a colossal wrap around bar featuring a superior black Corian bartop.

The sand blasted glass sides are backlit with customizable LED lights

that can be set to any colour. The overall effect of this venue is both

aesthetically pleasing and perfect for branding any event.

• Altitude 360° Black features the latest technology, furnishings and

auxiliary equipment to make your event a success. Hi Tech Plasma

televisions cover the walls at every angle and in every room to ensure

state of the art visual and sound technology is at your fingertips at all

times. All of the televisions are linked to a roving camera for live video

feeds or to separate DVD facilities. The screens can be set in many

different ways and the venue contains a fully integrated multi-zone

sound system.

• Guests are invited to make use of complimentary worldwide telephone

and fax service as well as high speed internet access and full

audio/visual support. Secretarial and other business services can be

arranged with prior notice. The venue is fitted with an induction loop,

and is fully accessible for wheelchair users.

The River Room

• The River Room - located on the second floor of Millbank Tower,

delivers superb event facilities for groups of 10 to 600 guests. Where

better to harness aquatic sports enthusiasm. With a water wall and a

water bar, the reception space has a special vantage over the River

Thames. Add flare, patriotism or brand pride with the bespoke lighting

and projection system.

• The River Room is a dazzling space that boasts over 7,000 square

feet and has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the River Thames

and would be the perfect venue for an organisation to use as their

hosting venue during the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The River Room can accommodate 350 people seated and 650 people standing, it is a fully flexible

room that can be used in many different ways due to the 2 bespoke retractable soundproof electronic

walls included in the space.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Full Sound System Installation

The River Room has fully integrated Meyer Sound PA system which enables complete room coverage

and has the capability to isolate „zones‟. This feature enables a conference in one section and

background music in another. Equipped with built in radio microphones and a 24 channel mixing desk the

system is highly flexible to suit your requirements.

State of the Art Lighting Package

In addition to standard room lighting The River Room is has a bespoke LED colour wash installation.

Use one of our many preset „environments‟ or have a custom one built specifically for your event. You can

transform The River Room’s walls to reflect corporate branding, set the mood or dazzle you guests with

a moving light show. This is fully zoneable so you can brand your event area and have a relaxing space

all with the one system.

Aqua Wall

The River Room has a marvellous Water Wall with projection facilities, perfect for back lighting and

branding with both corporate colours and logos.

The River Room has a bespoke Water Bar that can be connected to our impressive lighting system

which enables colour matching of the water Bar with any corporate colours. There are also 4 free

standing but, movable 50” Plasma Screens.

The Millbank Media Centre

• Welcome to the Millbank Cinema & Media Centre, London's newest

and most prestigious world-class conference, media and cinema venue,

brought to you by Altitude London.

• The Millbank Media Centre provides the ultimate widescreen platform

for watching all the live Olympic action or hosting press briefings with

the comfort of Italian-made seating. Set your sights on gold and the HD

digital projection system and surround sound will perfectly showcase

your brand to your guests. Catch every Olympic moment on our

multiple screens.

• The Millbank Media Centre assures a stress free and ultimately

resplendent occasion and boasts a private entrance and has its own and

pre/post function hospitality area.

The Millbank Media Centre boasts state-of-the-art technical and AV facilities including:

DCI compliant 2k High Definition Barco DP1200 Digital Cinema Projector; Digital Print GDC FA 2100

Server; connectivity for a variety of sources, including laptops, STI, DVI and HDMI; playback includes

Blue Ray, High Definition DVD, DVD, DCI compliant Digital Cinema Prints – 2D or 3D; XbanD 3D.

Digital Cinema presentation including active 3D glasses; multiple screen size, picture in picture to client's

specification; True Cinema 5.1 Surround Sound and 10x Martin Effect 3R Surround Speakers.

The PA is based around Turbo Sound Professional Audio TCS series speakers, providing true left centre

right configuration, with surround sound capability for cinema playback.

The auditorium offers onstage PC, Video, Audio and lectern microphones left and right, plus 16 additional

microphone inputs and 8 returns reside at the rear of the stage.

These can be used for large presentations, and live performances. The venue also incorporates the latest

Yamaha LS9 Digital Mixing console with Solid State Digital Audio Recording Facilities.

Finally, the reception area can be used to relay the main theatre content or act as a standalone venue,

featuring 6 LCD screen and a 2.5. rear projector and turbo sound impact series PA.

The View Studios

• The View Studios is a brand new venue at Altitude London and is

ideal for private and corporate events with spectacular views over the

River Thames. It offers three studios with a light, bright and modern

style set in the heart of Westminster on the sixth floor of Millbank Tower.

• Designed specifically for business entertaining it offers facilities tailored

towards board meetings, receptions and business dinners. The View

Studios draws on the exemplary catering services available in the other

four Altitude London venues whether it's coffee and pastries for a small

meeting, a delicious working lunch, board meeting or a seated dinner.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

The View Studios contains an array of Board Room style tables and chairs with Poser Tables and Bar

stools too. Audio visual equipment consists of a 63” Plasma screen with a Cat 5 socket under each

additional plasma for data relay. A Cat 5 socket is in Reception relaying to all plasmas and a Double

13amp socket. The rooms a separated by an Interconnecting door Width 2.6m and the doors fold back

against internal walls.

Finding Altitude LondonAltitude London is located in Millbank Tower, 21-24 Millbank, London, SW1P 4QP.

Nearest Tube Stations: PIMLICO and WESTMINSTER

PIMLICO is on the Victoria Line. Exit Pimlico Tube Station and follow signs towards Tate Britain. Once you have passed Tate Britain you will find

the Millbank Tower on the left.

WESTMINSTER is on the District and Circle Line. Exit Westminster Tube Station walk past Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament with the River

Thames on your left. After a 5 – 10 minute walk you will find Millbank Tower on the right hand side.

Nearest Bus Stop: TATE BRITAIN

TATE BRITAIN bus stop is approx a 2 minute walk from the Millbank Tower. Bus Routes 3, 77A and 159 stop along Millbank. Route 507 from

Victoria and Waterloo stops on Horseferry Road.

Nearest National Train Station: VAUXHALL

VAUXHALL Mainline Station is approximately a 10 minute walk from the Millbank Tower. Exit Vauxhall station and cross over Vauxhall Bridge and

head right onto Millbank. After a 5 minute walk you will see Millbank Tower on your left hand side. Water Taxis stop at Millbank Pier on the Tate to

Tate service which depart Tate Modern at Bankside Pier every 40 minutes.

Altitude London offers the perfect location and venue solution to meet all transport challenges during the London 2012 Olympics. With its

partners, Altitude London guarantees to facilitate full transport to access each of the sites in use for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

EXCLUSIVE BOAT HIRE

Millbank Pier is located directly opposite Altitude London and offers river transport to each of the piers along the River Thames and to the

Limehouse Basin Olympic Link. This transfer facility then provides a shuttle service for your guests up to the Stratford Olympic site. Guests will be

transported to Olympic events via London‟s most comfortable and picturesque transport means and past some of the world‟s best known

landmarks.

Altitude London already has the necessary arrangements in place to ensure that this boat transfer facility can be provided as well as a list of

optional extras your clients may require on the boat such as catering and corporate entertainment.

Olympic sports venues- Location and transfer information

LIMEHOUSE BASIN OLYMPIC PARK TRANSFER POINT

For the Stratford Olympic Park all river services will terminate at Limehouse Basin. From here all guests would disembark River Thamesvessels and take a short walk to the marina and embark on smaller „Water Bus‟ vessels that are registered to navigate the narrower RiverLea and up to the Stratford Olympic Park.

Note for river access from Altitude London to the ExCeL Centre there are several transfer options, including:

Disembark at Canary Wharf – for Bus TransferDisembark at Trinity Wharf – for Short Bus TransferExcel Centre – direct disembarks immediately adjacent to the venue are possible but, these are tide dependant and require the passing ofa lock into and out of the Royal Albert Docks.
