In 2000, Stefano Nappi’s family and friends created the “Stefano Nappi Fund” in memory of Stefano, and in recognition of the care he and his family received at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. Each year a golf tournament is held in Stefano’s name, the proceeds of which are contributed to his fund. Donations to the Stefano Nappi Fund are used to provide hospital patients, their families, and the nursing staff, with special services and support that otherwise would not be available to them.

By participating in this tourna-ment in the past, the enthusiastic and warm hearted friends and family of Stefano Nappi have raised over $370,000 for the Stefano Nappi Fund at The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital at Maine Medical Center. These dollars are used to provide hospital patients, their families, and nursing staff with special services and support that otherwise would not be available to them.

LOCATION: Riverside Golf Course followed by lunch at Bruno’s Restaurant

TIME: 7:30AM Tournament Check-in 8:00AM Shotgun Start

FORMAT: Four-person scramble

COST: $400 per foursome. Includes: t-shirts, cart & green fee, lunch at Bruno’s

This tournament sells out fast, so please register early and pay promptly if interested. We cannot reserve any spots without full payment. Teams will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Any and all donations are welcomed with much gratitude!

some examples of how the funds are used:

• Purchased 10 new sleeper couches for patient rooms (allowing parents to spend the night with their child)

• Provided an extra day of music therapy every week

• Hosted multiple family breakfasts and dinners during the year, which are much enjoyed by patients and their families

• Nursing education: 3 RN’s were able to attend a Pediatric Dialysis conference out of state

• Warm winter clothing for a family who had just arrived in Maine

• Cotinuing to support families with gas cards, meal tickets, and a lunchtime catering cart


Please submit your registration and donations before August 15th. The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital is a 501(c)(3) organization, and all donors will receive an acknowledgement letter suitable for tax purposes.
