USE OF SCREENSHARE & INTERACTIVE WHITEBOARD There are many uses for the shared screen and the interactive whiteboard while teaching. Most of the class should be conducted using one or the other. Below are instructions for Mac and Windows OS. For Linux, Android, iOS devices, click here.

Annotate By clicking annotation (top right of the screen) both the student and tutor can (at the same time) write text, highlight, draw and spotlight on the screen.

Format The format button allows you to change font, size and colour of the text.

Remote Control Make sure you give the student ‘Remote Control’ so that they can edit a document/draw on the whiteboard/interact with a program via screenshare.

The screenshare function also enables you to share an application window from other software, such as Word, Powerpoint or graphics/maths software. This while make it easier for you to write equations, draw graphs and so forth. This also opens up the possibilities of what you can cover in a lesson.

For more details on whiteboard, screen, video, and audio sharing, click here. The SAVE function You can select "save" to save the whiteboard as a PNG file. It will be stored in documents > zoom > meeting ID folder as whiteboard.png.

Note: You cannot locally save a whiteboard on an iOS or Android mobile device. Please use the screenshot feature of the device to save that whiteboard data.
