→ Last month, it was back to school, what was your state of mind ? (happy, stressed …) Lisa : I was a little bit nervous because it's a very

important year. I have exams at the end of the year, so, I must work hard and be organized. Lea:I thought that I would be lost. I come from Royan, so I didn't know anybody. But it is better now…

→ Was it a moment that you looked forward to ? Lisa : Yes, I missed my friends and I was really ex-cited to see them again. Lea: Really no !(laugh) I feared lessons (bio,etc...) because it is all new to me. → Did you think about it during the holidays ? Lisa : Yes, I thought a lot about the BAC. I was stressed. Lea : No, not at all. A little bite more at the end of the holidays, the last week. → How did you prepare to go back to school ? Lisa : I During the holidays, I read my lessons (of 1ere) because I knew that I'll use them in Term. Lea: I wasn't prepared. I didn't revise anything… → Are there things that are stressing you out or that you fear for this year, based on the first weeks of class ? Lisa: I stress for the exam because it's very impor-tant and I must go to Paris to be a model so I won't have so much time to study... Lea: No, I wasn't stressed because ASSP is cooler and more interesting than last year. → According to you what is positive and nega-tive in going back to school ? (wake up early, new people, new teachers...)

Lisa : The bad side is that it is the end of the holi-days and the work and the good side is to see my friends, choose outfit and resume habits. Lea: The positive side is to meet new people and negative side is to be away from my home. I'm in boarding school this year. → Have you made resolutions for this school year ? (work more regularly...) Lisa :Yes, I'll work regularly and read my lessons

every day. Lea: Hummm... work harder and more regu-larly. → You're in Term, do you have any advice for those who enter in the lower classes? (in 2nd for example) Lisa : Yes, have fun, enjoy and make new

friends because 2nd is easier than 1ere and Term. → You're in 2nd professional, why did you choose to follow a professional course? (school way, competences...) Lea: I chose this class because contact with people is really my passion, helping people is my voca-tion; I did my 3eme twice last year to do what I wanted this year. I do internships and it is cool → What are your goals for this year? Lisa : Having the BAC, after that, I'll be free. Lea: simply to have a successful year. → What was your best and your worst moment of going back to school? Lisa : The best moment is to go to school with Julie, my sister and I haven't got any worst mo-ment.

Storm near Matha Near Matha, on Wednesday 10th of October 2015, at around 5 pm, there was a huge storm and even a tor-nado ! This storm was very impressive and did a lot of damage. Thirty houses were destroyed but miraculously, there was no victim. Sonnac was the most damaged zone. It was a EF2 intensity storm, that means a strong one. Storms form from the brutal meeting between hot air and cold air.

We have met a victim of the storm and she has accepted to answer us. Her name is Ilona Grué and she is in TES2 . She lives in Liboreau and she was present during the storm. Her house was damaged, her shed was destroyed and there was other damage. She was im-pressed but she was less shocked than other people and she was reassured because no one was hurt. H. Migration of Syrians

You have all seen this photo, of a little boy who was drown on a beach. It shocked everyone. He was from Syria, that’s where most of the migrants come from, there are 8 thousand migrants that come to Europe almost everyday, among them 18,5% are Syrians. They left their native country be-cause of the civil war. This conflict started in 2011. Most of them tried to go to England but hardly any of them could get though security be-cause there are lots of security checkpoints. So they ended up going to other European countries, like France. But they have nowhere to stay for most of them because they used all their money to come to Europe but now they’re stuck and have no-where to go. The Syrians need Europe’s help and yours. Thanks for reading this article .

Paris Manga

On the 3rd and 4th of October was organized the 20th Paris Manga and Sci Fi show. It is a national convention that takes place every year. There were a lot of people who loves manga, animes and video games. Moreover, some people were dressed up as manga or video games characters. There were many dedications’time with celebrities such as youtubers

(Jigmé, Taupe10, Bob Lennon …) or manga authors. For example, Yoshikata Amano was the special guest this year. He works for the Final Fantasy saga.

The MDL On October 8th 2015, the high school voted to choose the president of the «MDL». There were two teams, the blue team and the yellow one with two different programs. At the end of the day, all the students voted for these two teams, and the winner was the yellow team. But what is the MDL ? Since 1990, in every high school, there has been a Maison Des Lycéens. In the start of the year, students give ten euros to join the MDL, and that makes the budget of the MDL for the year. If you are in the MDL, you can benefit of many things : a television, a pool (billiard table), a table football, an fair trade bar, a home-cinema and a music room. And finally, you can take part in cultural ou-tings, shows and concerts of different artists.

The name of this project is « Expression immediate ». It is a play on words. In these two words we can find « press » and « Media ». The schools that will take part in the project are those of the east sector of Charente Mari-time. There are ten secondary schools and three high schools in-cluding our high school. This project was created to answer the questions of the students : « What is freedom of thought ? », « What is press? ». Journalists will come in March during the week of press. There will be newspaper journal-ists, cartoonists, radio personali-ties… Students will visit the printing works of l'Angérien news-paper. Between 150 to 200 stu-dents will take part in this project. Next time, we will present you a journalist who will be there in March. T. Bernard , M. Bertin et M. Bi-reau

BIARRITZ'S FESTIVAL Early in the morning, on the 30th of September, a bus filled with 46 students and teachers left St Jean for the city of Biarritz. The two classes of 1ère and Terminal L went to Biarritz to the annual Latin-American film festival. At the festival, the students saw many movies from lots of different countries: Mexico, Chili, Ecuador, Brazil, Guatemala and Argentina. There were different kinds of movies : documentaries, comedies and dramas. They met the author Luis Sepulueda, a novelist from Chili but some students didn't understand the interview and the movies. In the evening, the students had free time to walk around and explore the festival village. They tasted typical latin-american food such as Argentinian empanadas. They had also a bit of free time each day to explore the city and do some shopping. Lauren Easum, a student of 1ère L said : « Biarritz is a very nice and pleasant city and all the students enjoyed the trip and would go again next year. »
