The theme of A&N Administration's participation in the IITF- 2016 is 'Digital India'. It is an opportunity for the local MSME to showcase their product and service such as handicrafts and tourism related services during the fair. In order to exploit the available opportunity to find better value for the products and services, MSMEs of these Islands entrepreneurs/ artisans will be given opportunity to display and sale their products and services in the Andaman & Nicobar Pavilion during the fair. Interested local micro/ small and medium enterprises/handicrafts units, artisans, who have registered their enterprises with District Industries Center, A&N Administration, Port Blair, may submit their application for participation in IITF-2016. The application should be supported with a copy of Udyog Adhaar Memorandum, detailed list of products and services, exhibits indicating quantity and price proposed to be taken for display and sale in the Andaman Nicobar Pavilion during IITF-2016, contact address, name of contact person and phone number. The application complete in all respect should reach Directorate of Industries by Sept. 30, 2016. She was p r o d u c e d from judicial custody on Sept. 9 and after hearing her, the Ld. Additional Sessions Judge imposed punishment upon her to suffer rigorous One convicted for murder of child Port Blair, Sept. 12 The 1st DISHA meeting of District Administration South Andaman was held in its conference hall under the Chairmanship of Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray on Sept. 9. DISHA Committee has been recently constituted by the Govt. of India to oversee and monitor all the Centrally Sponsored Schemes being implemented by State or UT Administration. The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands is the Chairman of the Committee and Deputy Commissioner (SA) is Member Secretary. Various schemes implementing Departments like Rural Development, Electricity, Social Welfare, Education, PBMC and Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Pramukh, Prothrapur and other PRIs etc., are Members in the Committee. Committee has also been given executive powers to seek co- operation from the Departments and issue directions. In the 1st meeting, the Member of Parliament reviewed the progress of all 29 Centrally Sponsored Schemes of various Departments. The MP pointed out the lacunas and various shortcomings at various stages of implementation and directed the Departments to take immediate action. He further emphasized that Govt. of India has launched all these schemes for the benefits of the Islanders and it is the duty of the Departments to ensure that the benefits as envisaged in the schemes reaches the general public of the Islands. He further directed the Member Secretary, DC (SA) to seek status reports from all the Departments on various points mentioned by him during the discussion and submit report within 30 days. Hospitality Certificate Course in Food & Beverage Service &Accommodation Operation and Hospitality Certificate Course in Food Production & Bakery. The fees for each course is Skill development training prog. in Hospitality Sector by Tourism Deptt. Rs.3,000/- and the duration of the course will be 30 days (06 hours per day). All interested candidates, having minimum of 8th pass certificate in CBSE schooling system can apply for the course in the prescribed format by 5 pm of Sept. 20, 2016. The interview/selection of candidate by screening committee is scheduled at 10 am on Sept. 21 while the last date for payment is Sept. 23, by 3 pm. The training will commence from Sept. 26, 2016. The 22- member panel will be headed by Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). According to the DoPT, the panel will have members from both the official and staff side.From the government side, it will have Member (Staff) Railway Board, Secretaries of Department of Telecommunications and Department of Posts, as its members.
