Our goal is to help students to achieve an international mindset, to reach a better understanding of cultures and societies and to develop the capacity to work in a culturally diverse environment.

You are invited to a unique event that will gather the best European engineers - the European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC).

The success of the first and second editions of EBEC brought a great number of students to the local rounds this year, raising the competition to a higher level of challenge.Participating in this event offers you the opportunity to get in touch with Europe’stop engineering students

This year, 5000 participants will join local engineering competitions at their home universities. The winners of these local rounds advance to the national (or regional) level. These competitions will determine the best of the best, who will then participate in the European final.

In total, 96 finalists will be present at EBEC to make their dream come true in the ultimate final.

The Team Design competition consist in building a device as a solution to solve a technical problem in a limited time and a limited availability of materials.

“We were delighted to be part of such an innovative event, which gathered so many talented students. EBEC is a great opportunity for Thales, as a global high tech company, to meet future engineers from all over Europe.”

“Your organization is preparing this event in a very proffesional way and we are really impressed with the ideas of your engineers, how they fix the problems. Every solution provided by the teams was unique.“

Testimonials - EBEC 2010

4 ebec.best.eu.org

When I joined the Local Engineering Competition in Grenoble, I didn’t know that it would bring me so many joys and discoveries. At no point did we think that we could win, the other participants being as fierce competitors as us. Yet in the end here we are: France is 2nd at EBEC’s Case Study and the moments that we lived with other European students of technology

were exceptional. I learned a lot on how to cooperate and communicate during team work for competitions. The contact with companies was also a key factor to the success of EBEC 2010; I now feel closer to various large European corporations, because I had personal contacts with representatives of these companies. This will surely help me in my search for employment after my studies. I really hope that the next sessions of EBEC will be as exhilarating as EBEC 2010!
