Selected Works
Montana State University Chorale Promotional Video
As a long-time Chorale member and film school senior, I was asked by the choir's
director, Kirk Aamot, to create a video of the Chorale singing a repertoire piece, to be put on
the Chorale website and sent out to prospective Chorale members. The School of Film and
Photography has a policy that keeps students from using school gear for commercial projects,
but I was given special authorization in this case by the director of the school, Dennis Aig. Shot
myself and edited within a full 4K workflow. Link.
When He Comes For You
My own senior film, which I wrote and directed. Once the semester for class credit
eligibility had passed, I reworked post-production for the entire film, re-editing it myself from
scratch, creating an entirely new sound design, doing over a half-dozen color correction passes,
and adding new effects in AfterEffects throughout the whole film (including smoke effects,
time-freeze effects, and painting out stands and microphones in over a dozen shots). Link.
Horace
A group of friends of mine formed a mini-collective called Rising Tide Productions to
make sketches together while we were at film school. I worked on this project as an editor, and
did light color correction and after effects work (mostly matting things out). Link.
212 Final
A school project, but one I'm proud of. I wrote, directed, shot, edited, sound designed,
and was the sole crew member for the whole shoot, working on a Canon 5D Mark III. Worked
from shoot to picture lock in about four days. Link (password is "redproductions").
God
Another project where I was the sole crew member. Adapted from a Woody Allen story,
and shot on the Canon 5D Mark III again, I used digital trickery to turn five shots into one
seamless take. Link (password is "redproductions")
Knuckles
Another senior film, where I was the cinematographer and colorist. Worked within a full
4K workflow. Link.
