CLOTHING ITEMS

With Spring fast approaching there are many jumpers being left lying around. I ask that parents make sure names are on all items of clothing to make sure we can get them home. Please come and check the Lost Property in the foyer.

WAKAKIRI

Wakakiri has finally arrived. This will be my first Wakakiri and I must say it has made an impression. From the outstanding backdrops and props to the amazing dance routines I cant wait to see the big show.

EXCURSIONS

With so many excursions coming up it is important to stay on top of accounts. I appreciate the large number of families who have been making instalment payments towards events. Please make sure payments for our camps are finalised as soon as possible.

ZONE ATHLETICS

It was great to see so many of our students trying their hardest at the Zone Athletics carnival last Friday. In particular the behaviour of our students stood out. Sometimes it isn’t until you can make these comparisons that you realise how positive the choices of our students can be.

Sometimes students stay at home for reasons that are not acceptable like:

Birthdays

Too tired to come to attend school because of a late night

Stay home with siblings or parents who are sick

Staying away for a whole day when an appointment is booked for a short time in the morning or afternoon

The weather, for exam-ple, it’s too hot, too cold, raining.

Students staying at home for these reasons will be marked as an unjustified absence. Regular attendance helps your child develop the skills needed to access the world of work and other opportuni-ties and learn the importance of punctuality and routine.
