Cooper was named Tampa Bay's eighth head coach on March 26, 2013.Cooper, 50, begins his sixth season as Lightning head coach and has amassed a 189-120-35 record. Cooper's .599 win percentage is thehighest in franchise history. He earned NHL victory No. 100 on April 11, 2015, making him the fifth-fastest coach among those who debuted inthe NHL since 2000 to reach the mark. He led the Bolts to the Stanley Cup Playoffs in each of his first three full seasons as head coach,including back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals (2015, 2016) and a Stanley Cup Final (2015). He was a finalist for the Jack Adams Award in2014, given annually to the NHL’s top coach.  WARD SAYS NOCam Ward made 21 saves against Pittsburgh on Jan. 4 for his first shutout of the season. His 26th career shutout also made him thethird goaltender in Hurricanes/Whalers history to shut out the Penguins (3/6/03: Kevin Weekes, 12/16/01: Tom Barrasso).
