USE OF LATEST TECHNOLOGY
College of today is a complex organization, with hundreds of people
working in tandem to create an ever-evolving organization. The key to
success of a college lies in the way it manages the deluge of information,

(unit wise) with additional important solved questions, in the college
website. Every student is expected to read and make use of the contents
from time to time.
TECHNOLOGY ENABLED CLASSROOMS
The students today spend more time with electronic gadgets, hence the
faculty member’s role in the classroom is highly challenging. The visual
media is the one stop solution to enable the students to learn better in the
classroom.
Each classroom is provided with a computer, LCD projector or a
Television to enable the faculty members to teach through visual
30
presentation and video presentation to make the teaching learning
process interesting and easier.
The digitalized content of the study material or presentation is also made
available in the college website for the students to participate in a process
to reinforce the concepts.
Learning is a continuous process and the attitude to upgrade latest
knowledge and technology is enabled through online self-learning
process. Self-learning is made compulsory to all students and is enabled
vide online classes from experts of IIT and others through NPTEL,
GUVI, coursera etc., Every student must to enroll for any one of the
online courses during the regular curriculum, to upgrade his/her
knowledge beyond the syllabus. Extra marks are awarded for online

TEMPLE
Lord Vinayagar temple
Our institution has a spiritual atmosphere in the form of the Lord Dhana
Vidhya Ganapathy Temple adjacent to the Ladies’ hostel at the portals
of the college where poojas are performed daily. The significance of this
temple is that it has a portico which has the illusory effect of a revolving
Siva lingam when the devotees lift their eyes towards God for
inspiration. This facility is nothing short of amazing for the Hindu
students in an educational institution.
Vanni tree temple
There is also an ancient temple under the canopy of the sacred Vanni tree
in front of the administrative office. This is gift of vegetate Ambrosia
makes the campus all the more alluring to students and staff alike. Look
around DCE and you’ll find the immortals gazing at you to guard you
with power and wisdom during your stay here. It’s as if the divine
entities have wrapped the college in a sacred blanket to ensure prosperity
and peace for anyone who sets his foot in the campus.
