Employee Programmes
What we have done in 2012• In 2012, we have run the following mandatory
employee courses: -– Equality & Diversity – 600 + employees
• We have also supported training in the following areas: -– Presentation Skills– Personal Effectiveness– Time Management– Customer Services Team Training– Telesales Team Training– Negotiation Skills– First Aid Training
Overview
• Most training to be delivered by Ted Learning as ILM accredited business partner of Wolters Kluwer UK.
• Some employee training to be delivered by Ted Learning in partnership with Telford College.
• Training to be blend of face to face, some with actors and utilising e-learning and at desk learning.
What’s different in 2013• From Jan 2013, training will take a different approach and will
be more ‘joined up’ rather than lots of independent courses, we will offer modules and the chance to gain a formal business qualification.
• We will be introducing a self booking system – all employees will be responsible for booking themselves onto training through an internet based system – reducing the need for mop up sessions
• Three types of training programmes to be offered in 2013: -– The WK Manager – accredited programme with Institute of
Leadership & Management (ILM)– Employee Programmes – accredited programme with Telford College
(TC)– Voluntary skills support courses – accredited one off courses offered
to support both manager and employees
THE WK TEAM LEADER ACCREDITED PROGRAMME
The ‘WK TEAM LEADER’• As part of our management offer we are
launching: – Level 2 Team Leading
• Qualification is a programme with modules.• Level 2 offered at 2 levels – Award &
Certificate• Award can be completed within 6-12 months,
Certificate over 12 -18 months.
Programme Overview
• Level 2 Qualification in Team Leading• Designed for employees in a team leading
role or new junior management role or for employees identified as future managers
– Award – 3 modules (3 credits)– Certificate – 10 modules (13 credits)

Voluntary Courses 2013• The following courses will be offered to all employees as a
way of supporting personal development: -– Presentation Skills (introduction 1 day and advanced 1.5 day)– Negotiation Skills (sales focused – 1.5 days)– Personal Effectiveness (1 day)– Time Management (1/2 day)– Interview Skills (1/2 day) – Driving Top Achievement (1/2 day)– Office Training – Excel, PowerPoint etc…– Level 2 ITQ Diploma – 9 days
• We will also continue to support the business with department specific requests for training
