For more than 40 years, TAL have designed and build machine tools, material handling systems, test rigs, painting systems, assembly & process lines, robotic welding solutions, fixtures & tooling, fluid power solutions for a wide range of industrial applications and integrated them to deliver complete manufacturing solutions.

TAL Manufacturing Solutions Ltd. was formed by the merger of the resources of the Machine Tool and Growth Divisions of the TATA Motors- Pune facilty in March, 2000. We are 100% subsidiary of TATA Motors.

Pune Plant:

Our infrastructure at Pune, which is spread over 78000 sq m of area, bear a testimony of the ability to shape the solutions that meet our customer's specific needs. Our technical team comprises of proficient design engineers, who are backed by the latest design facilities and softwares like Auto CAD,Solid Edge,CATIA,IGRIP and a network of Computerized Information Systems. Nagpur Plant: Aerospace Business:

A State-of-the-art manufacturing facility for Aerospace requirements spread over 1,21,500 sq m of area is set up at Nagpur very close to logistics support by Air, Rail & Road, Lean manufacturing Systems in fusion with world class technology render this plant to produce parts for the highest rate of Production envisaged in this Industry. Complying with OHSAS requirement and AS9100, it as all set to become a benchmark for Aerospace standards. It is no surprise that the clientele keeps growing.

Mr.Ravi Kant is a Chairman on the board of TAL.

Mr. Ravi Kant holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and a Masters in Science from the University of Aston, Birmingham, UK. Mr. Kant has wide and varied experience in the manufacturing and marketing field, particularly in the automobile industry. Mr. Ravi Kant takes great interest in Marketing and Industry related activities.

Mr Kant has been with Tata Motors Limited (TML) since July 2000 and acted as Executive Director (Commercial Vehicle Business Unit) and Managing Director and presently acting as Vice Chairman of TML. He also worked with Philips India Limited as Director of Consumers Electronics business, LML Ltd. as Senior Executive Director (Marketing) and Titan Watches Limited as Vice President (Sales & Marketing).

Mr. R. S. Thakur Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer - TATA AutoComp Systems.

Mr. R.S. Thakur is a director on board of TAL.

Mr.R.S.Thakur completed the bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Business Management from XLRI. He is also a Chartered Management Accountant from CIMA, London. Mr Thakur has extensive experience in Finance, Business Planning, Treasury, Mergers & Acquisitions, Negotiations with State Govts., for new projects & Manufacturing Engineering.



















Mr.R.S.Thakur joined TACO group in 2008 and is acting as Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, Mr. Thakur worked with Tata Motors Ltd for over 35 years as Executive Director. He was actively involved in the management of the overseas ventures of Tata Motors Ltd as well as joint ventures in India.

Mr. Satish Pradhan Executive Vice President - HR - TATA Sons

Mr. Satish. Pradhan is a Director on board of TAL.

Mr. Pradhan is Masters in History from Delhi University and has worked in Public Sector and Private Sector companies. Mr. Satish Pradhan is Executive Vice President Group HR, Tata Sons. He Heads the Tata Group HR function. In the last eight years, he has built on the legacy of the two (50 year old) institutions of TAS and TMTC and created a unique HR function in the Group. Prior to joining the group in April 2001, he was with ICI Plc in London at their Head Office as Organisation Design & Development Manager (Group Human Resources). He also worked with Steel Authority of India Ltd, CMC Ltd, ICI India Ltd, Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd ( now Unilever India),

Mr. Pradhan is a member of The Board of National HRD Network, The Executive Committee of the Bombay Natural History Society, Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) National Committee on HRD and Women's Empowerment, International Advisory Board - Executive Education Said Business School.

Mr. Niranjan Kulkarni Head -Corporate Planning - TATA Motors Ltd.

Mr. N.S. Kulkarni is a Director on board of TAL.

Mr.N.S.Kulkarni is a Mechanical Engineer from Pune University and holds PGDM from AIMA.He has been with Tata Motors Ltd for about 31 years and currently heading Corporate planning functions. He has varied experience in Techno-Commercial domain.

Mr.Kulkarni has also been associated with several Capacity Expansion and New Product Development programmes of Tata Motors Ltd including Indica car .He has rich experience of partnering relationships such as ACGL – Fuji Heavy Industries for Buses, TML – Honda for Cars, TML – MB India JV and recently he has also been the TML project manager for Tata Fiat India JV.
