ACCOMODATIONS
All guests will be staying at mostlyhotels.Oneoftheovernightmaybeatthedormitoryofatemple. Thehotelroomsaredoublebedsandshared;thetemple dormitory overnights are inbunkbedsseparatedbygender.
During the racing days, the team willpractice in the morning andsightseeing in thecity thereafter. Youmayopttoexploreandeatoutonyourownexpense.
EXCURSIONS
The excursions and field trips willinclude 10 coursemeals, DIY hand onexperiences (such as painting paperumbrellas, making tea leaves, ormakingpineapplecakes).Youwillalsoexperiencethecity,nightmarketsandvariousculturallandmarks.

GOLDEN DRAGON TEAM
SACA’s GoldenDragons is a dragonboat team. The 50’row boat is shapedlike a dragon. Thedragon boat festivalis hosted annually inMayorJune.Wearenowpreparingourselves to competein the 2017 Dragon Boat Festival in NewTaipei,Taiwan.Aminimumof16paddlersareneedtotraveltoTaiwan;20paddlersarepreferred.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE? Anyonewhoovertheageof14andattendsour bi-monthly practices is eligible tocompeteintheTaiwanrace.
Paddlersmayhaveguests travelwith them,however, no children under age of 14 arepermitted.
WHEN AND HOW LONG? WedepartfromU.S.onFriday,May24,2017and return on June 8, 2017; 14 days. Theflight is about20 -24hours, eachway. Thetravel plan will be arranged by our TaiwanTravelDirector,RobertChen. Allmembersand guests are to depart and returntogether.
TRAVEL COSTS Theestimatedcostis$2,100perpersonplusflight. Depending on the fuel cost in 2017,the flight cost may range from $800 to$1,500.
The $2,100 cost will include all race fees,hotels, transportation in Taiwan, minimumtwo meals per day, Taiwan team jersey,sightseeing excursions and basic medicalinsurance.
WHERE ARE WE RACING? New Taipei City in Taiwan. It is in thenorthernpartoftheisland.
During the Summer, the weather andtemperature are similar to that of Tampa,Florida.
