Resistencia contra la mayora de cidos, alcalinos y sales de alta y baja concentracin. Sin embargo, el material tiende a ser atacado por algunos qumicos como hidrocarburos aromticos, teres a hidrocarburos clorinados La resistencia es simiilar a la del PVC, pero tiene una alta resistencia al calor No es estable contra cidos fuertes como el cido ntrico concentrado y mezclas de cido de cromo, pero es resistente contra otros cidos alcalinos y sales.
