Please read and understand this Owner’s Manual prior to installing and using your winch.Pay particular attention to the General Safety Information. Your winch is a very powerfulmachine. If used unsafely or improperly, there is a possibility that property damage or per-sonal injury can result. We have included several features in this winch to minimize this pos-sibility; however, your safety ultimately depends on your caution when using this product.

ROLLING LOAD CAPACITIES

Each winch is equipped with a permanent magnet motorand is designed for intermittent duty general use. The winchis not designed to be used in industrial or hoisting applica-tions and the manufacturer does not warrant it to be suit-able for such use.

Freespool Clutch is operated by a pull and turn knob whichdisengages the gearbox to allow the wire rope to be pulledout without using electric power. A tension plate reducesbacklash and snarling when pulling out the wire rope.

Remote Switch allows a wide variety of mounting options.

8. KEEP CLEAR OF WINCH, TAUTWIRE ROPE AND HOOK WHENOPERATING WINCH. Never putyour finger through the hook. Ifyour finger should becometrapped in the hook, you couldlose your finger. ALWAYS USETHE HANDSAVER whenguiding the wire ropein or out (See Figure 3).

9. NEVER HOOK THE WIRE ROPEBACK ONTO ITSELF because youcould damage the wire rope.Use a nylon sling (Figure 4).

10. It is a good idea to lay a heavyblanket or jacket over the wirerope near the hook end whenpulling heavy loads (Figure 5). Ifa wire rope failure should occur,the cloth will act as a damperand help prevent the rope fromwhipping.

11. NEVER USE YOUR WINCHFOR LIFTING OR MOVINGPEOPLE.

12. Your winch is not intended foroverhead hoisting operations.

13. AVOID CONTINUOUS PULLSFROM EXTREME ANGLES as thiswill cause the wire rope to pileup on one end of the drum(Figure 6). This can jam the wirerope in the winch, causing damageto the rope or the winch.

14. NEVER OBSCURE THE WARNINGINSTRUCTION LABELS.

15. Always operate winch with anunobstructed view of the winch-ing operation.

16. Equipment such as tackle, hooks,pulley blocks, straps, etc. shouldbe sized to the winching taskand should be periodicallyinspected for damage that couldreduce their strength.

Your winch is a very powerfulmachine. If used unsafely orimproperly, there is a possibilitythat property damage or personalinjury could result.

The wire ropemay break

before the winch stalls. For heavyloads, use a pulley block to reducethe load on the wire rope.

1. Maximum working load capacityis on the wire rope layer closestto the drum. DO NOT OVER-LOAD. DO NOT ATTEMPT PRO-LONGED PULLS AT HEAVYLOADS. Overloads can damagethe winch and/or the wire ropeand create unsafe operating con-ditions. FOR LOADS OVER 1,000POUNDS (454 kg), WE RECOM-MEND THE USE OF THE OPTION-AL PULLEY BLOCK TO DOUBLELINE THE WIRE ROPE (Figure2).This reduces the load on thewinch and the strain on the wirerope by approximately 50%.Attach hook to load bearing part.The vehicle engine should berunning during winch opera-tion. If considerable winching isperformed with the engine off,the battery may be too weak torestart the engine.

2. AFTER READING AND UNDER-STANDING THIS MANUAL, LEARNTO USE YOUR WINCH. Afterinstalling the winch, practiceusing it so you will be familiarwith it when the need arises.

3. DO NOT “move” your vehicle toassist the winch in pulling theload. The combination of thewinch and vehicle pulling togeth-er could overload the wire ropeand the winch.

4. ALWAYS STAND CLEAR OF WIREROPE, HOOK AND WINCH. IN THEUNLIKELY EVENT OF ANY COM-PONENT FAILURE IT‘S BEST TO BEOUT OF HARM‘S WAY.

5. INSPECT WIRE ROPE AND EQUIP-MENT FREQUENTLY. A FRAYEDWIRE ROPE WITH BROKENSTRANDS SHOULD BEREPLACED IMMEDIATELY.Always replace wire rope withthe manufacturer‘s identicalreplacement part (seeReplacement Parts List).Periodically check the winchinstallation to ensure that allbolts are tight.

6. USE HEAVY LEATHER GLOVESwhen handling wire rope. DONOT LET WIRE ROPE SLIDETHROUGH YOUR HANDS.

7. NEVER WINCH WITH LESS THAN 5TURNS of wire rope AROUND THEWINCH DRUM since the wire ropeend fastener may NOT withstandfull load.

Correct installation of your winch isrequired for proper operation.

This winch MUSTbe mounted

with the wire rope in the under-wind direction. Improper mountingcould damage your winch and voidyour warranty.

Step (1)Install mounting kit or structuralsupport for winch.

Step (2)Mount the winch to the mountingkit base plate or to the mount thatyou have designed. Typical mount isto a flat surface capable of han-dling the loads.

The M8 x 1.25 x 30mm mountingbolts supplied are the correct lengthfor use with a 1/4" (6.3mm) thickmounting plate.

strength grade weaker than ISOgrade 4.6

Step (3)Check to ensure that the vehicleground and positive leads from thebattery are disconnected beforeperforming any electrical work.

Batteries containgasses which are

flammable and explosive. Wear eyeprotection during installation andremove all metal jewelry. Do notlean over battery while making connections.

17. NEVER RELEASE FREESPOOLCLUTCH WHEN THERE IS A LOADON THE WINCH.

18. NEVER WORK ON OR AROUNDTHE WINCH DRUM WHENWINCH IS UNDER LOAD.

19. DO NOT OPERATE WINCHWHEN UNDER THE INFLUENCEOF DRUGS, ALCOHOL ORMEDICATION.

20. ALWAYS DISCONNECT WINCHPOWER LEADS TO BATTERYBEFORE WORKING IN ORAROUND THE WINCH DRUM sothat the winch cannot be turnedon accidentally.

21. When moving a load, slowlytake up the wire rope slack untilit becomes taut. Stop, recheck allwinching connections. Be surethe hook is properly seated. If anylon sling is used, check theattachment to the load.

22. When using your winch to movea load, place the vehicle trans-mission in neutral, set vehiclebrake, and chock all wheels.

23. DO NOT USE THE WINCH TOHOLD LOADS IN PLACE. Use other means ofsecuring loads such as tie down straps.

24. USE ONLY FACTORY APPROVEDSWITCHES, REMOTE CONTROLSAND ACCESSORIES. Use of non-factory approved componentsmay cause injury or propertydamage and could void yourwarranty.

25. DO NOT MACHINE OR WELDANY PART OF THE WINCH. Suchalterations may weaken thestructural integrity of the winchand could void your warranty.

26. DO NOT CONNECT WINCH TOEITHER 110V AC HOUSE CUR-RENT OR 220V MAINS AS WINCHBURNOUT OR FATAL SHOCKMAY OCCUR.

27. Never allow shock loads to beapplied to winch or wire rope.

28. Use caution when pulling orlowering a load up and down aramp or incline. Keep people,pets and property clear of thepath of the load.

Step (4)Refer to Figure 7 for wiring diagram.

Step (5)Route the wiring harness, attachingthe harness to hard points on thevehicle with cable ties.

Note: When routing the wires, theappropriate terminals should belocated near the battery, switchmounting point, and winch. Yourinstallation requirements will varydepending upon your vehicle andwinch. Make sure wires are longenough to reach the battery, switch mounting point and winch.

Ensure that thewiring harness

does not interfere or come in con-tact with and hot or moving engine,suspension, steering, braking, orexhaust parts.

Step (6)Using the supplied clamps, bracketand hardware mount switch box in a convenient location. See Figure 7.

Note: Hole pattern in switch boxmounting bracket allows switch box mounting in any one of severalpositions and orientations. Alwaysuse both box combination headscrews provided. Punch out theappropriate two mounting holes in the switch box. Short and longextension links are provided to elevate the switch as needed. Donot use more than one link tomount the switch box mountingbracket to the round tube clamps.

ALWAYS USE THEBOX MOUNTING

BRACKET, TWO SCREWS AND LOCKNUTS PROVIDED. Screw lengths aresized for correct penetration into theswitch box. Excess penetration may

result in short circuits that couldlead to wire over heating.

Wire terminalsmust be properly

installed on the switch. Improperinstallation will result in high resistance connections that couldlead to excessive heat.

Step (7)Match wire terminals to the appro-priate spade terminals on the backof the rocker switch and make con-nections (Figure 7).

Step (8)Insert switch into switch box. Inserteach wire into the loom slots in theback of the switch box. Fasten thetop lid of the switch box using thesupplied self-tapping screws.

Two pieces of split loom tubing areprovided. Bundle the two wires tothe motor in one piece of tubingand the two wires to the battery inthe other piece of tubing.

Be sure thatswitch mounting

position does not impede the opera-tion of the vehicle. Before drivingthe vehicle, test the vehicle controlsystem range of motion to ensurethat switch wiring does not interferewith vehicle operation.

Step (9)Connect the unmarked terminal ofthe circuit breaker assembly to thepositive (red) battery wire (Figure 7).

Step (10)Connect short, red wire between circuit breaker assembly +BAT terminal and positive battery terminal (Figure 7).

Two terminal boots are supplied toinsulate the terminals on the circuitbreaker assembly. After installing theboots over the wires, the boots canbe secured to a non-metal part onthe vehicle to hold the breaker inplace. Insulated clips, wire ties, ortape may be used.

Step (11)Connect the remaining black wire to the negative battery terminal(Figure 7).

Step (12)Reconnect the vehicle positive and ground leads to the battery.

Before testingwinch operation,

be sure to reel off approximatelytwo feet of wire rope.

Note: If your vehicle is equippedwith side pole terminals, it may be necessary to obtain auxiliary side terminal bolts from your localauto parts dealer to make theseconnections.

Note: If you choose to locate thewinch at a greater distance thanthe wires provided will permit,winch speed or pulling capacity may decrease.

Step (13)Pull and turn (see Figure 9) thefreespool clutch knob to the“Disengaged” position. Pull severalfeet of wire rope off the drum.Return the clutch knob back to the“Engaged” position. Activate thewinch in Cable Out momentarily tocheck drum rotation direction. Ifthe drum rotates in the wrongdirection, recheck your wiring.

SWITCH OPERATION

The winchassembly must

be kept free of dirt and moisture to ensure safe operation.

Activate the winch by depressingthe switch in either direction; RopeIn or Rope Out, as indicated on theswitch (Figure 8).

The rocker switch automaticallyreturns to the OFF position whenreleased.

Note: In the OFF position, an electri-cal shunt provides dynamic brakingaction, which will eliminate coast-ing. In the OFF position, the shuntreduces the action of a load back-driving the winch. However, a loadcan cause the winch to creep.

The winch is notdesigned to act

as a load holding device.DO NOT use the winch tohold loads in place. Use tiedown straps or chains forsecuring loads.

Disconnect thewinch from the

battery when unattended to preventunauthorized use.

OPTIONAL STARTER INTERLOCK SOLENOID

Utilizing the standard installationprocedure, your Superwinch willoperate when your vehicle’s key is in the OFF position. Your authorizedSuperwinch dealer can provide a

If the winchmotor stalls,

do not continue to apply power.

4. The pull required to start a loadmoving is often much greaterthan the pull required to keep itmoving. AVOID FREQUENT STOPSAND STARTS during pull.

5. PREVENT KINKS BEFORE THEYOCCUR.

a. This is the start of a kink. Wirerope should be straightened.

b. Wire rope was pulled and loophas tightened into a kink. Wirerope is now permanentlydamaged and must bereplaced.

c. Result of kinking is that eachstrand pulls a different amountcausing strands under greatesttension to break and reduce loadcapacity of wire rope. The wirerope must be replaced.

REPLACING THE WIRE ROPE

Never substitute a heavier or lighterwire rope. Never use rope made ofany other materials other than wire.

Always replace damaged wirerope with manufacturer’s identical replacement part (seeReplacement Parts list). Pass attach-ing end of wire rope through thefairlead (if equipped) and attach itto the drum. When inserting thewire rope into the drum, insert itinto the correct end of the hole provided (Figure 11). Tighten the set screw securely.

Periodically check tightness ofmounting bolts and electrical connections. remove any dirt or corrosion that may have accumulat-ed on the electrical connections.

Repairs should be done byAuthorized Superwinch RepairCenters ONLY. Do not attempt to disassemble the gearbox.Disassembly will void warranty.

LUBRICATION

The gearbox is permanently lubri-cated. Relubrication is necessaryafter repair or disassembly. Use Shell Alvenia EP2 or equivalent.

CAUTION!

starter interlock solenoid thatrestricts power to the winch whenthe key is in the OFF position, elimi-nating the need to disconnect thewinch from the battery to preventunauthorized use.

FREESPOOL OPERATIONPull and turn the clutch knob to the“Disengaged” position as shown inFigure 9. If there is a load on thewire rope, the clutch knob may notpull out easily. DO NOT FORCE THECLUTCH KNOB. Release tension onthe clutch by jogging out some ofthe wire rope. Release the clutchand pull out the wire rope andsecure to anchor or load. Check thatthere are at least five (5) turns ofwire rope left on the drum. Re-engage the drum by returning theclutch knob to the “Engaged” position. (See Figure 9).

Clutch must befully engaged

before winching. Never engageclutch knob while drum is turning.

The clutch knobhas been adjust-

ed and permanently locked in placewith a thread locking compound atthe factory. Do not attempt to readjust the knob.

EXTENDING THE LIFE OF YOURWINCH1. KEEP A TIGHTLY WOUND WIRE

ROPE DRUM. Do not allow thewire rope to become looselywound. A loosely-wound spoolallows a wire rope under load towork its way down into the layersof wire rope on the drum. Whenthis happens, the wire rope maybecome wedged within the bodyof the windings damaging thewire rope. To prevent this prob-lem, keep the wire rope tightlyand evenly wound on the drum atall times. A good practice is torewind the wire rope under ten-sion after each use. One way todo this is to attach the hook to astationary object at the top of agradual incline and winch yourvehicle up the incline.

2. DO NOT ALLOW WINCH MOTORTO OVERHEAT. Keep the durationof pulls as short as possible. If themotor becomes uncomfortablyhot to the touch, stop winchingand allow the motor to cooldown. At 1,250 lb. (567 kg) allowmotor to cool after 20 seconds ofON time. At loads of 500 lb. (227kg) or less allow to cool after 21/2 minutes of ON time. KEEP THEENGINE RUNNING TO RECHARGETHE BATTERY during this break.

3. USE A PULLEY BLOCK FOR HEAVYLOADS. To maximize winch andwire rope life, use a pulley blockto double line heavier loads(Figure 2).

LIMITED WARRANTYSuperwinch Inc. (“Seller”) warrants to the original buyer (“YOU”) all parts and components exceptwire rope to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ONE (1) year fromprovable date of purchase. Any Superwinch product which is defective will be repaired or replacedwithout charge to you, upon compliance with these procedures. The warranties set forth hereinare exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, whether oral or written, express or implied.

LIMITED WARRANTY PERFORMANCE PROCEDUREUpon discovery of a defective Superwinch product, you shall mail to the Seller at his factory or toany Factory Authorized Service Center written notice of such defect and mail, ship or otherwisedeliver the defective Superwinch, postage or shipping prepaid. Repairs or replacements by Sellerunder this Limited Warranty will normally be accomplished within fifteen (15) business days afterreceipt of the defective Superwinch. Seller or its Authorized Agents may make reasonable chargesfor parts and labor for repairs not covered by this Limited Warranty.

WARRANTY AND REMEDY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONSRepair and/or replacement of the defective Superwinch or component part thereof as providedherein is the exclusive remedy for you. The following exclusions or limitations of warranties andlimitations of remedies shall be expressly applicable:

A. Express Warranties. Seller Warrants that the Superwinch is as described in the ”SuperwinchOwner’s Manual” provided herewith; no other express warranty is made in respect to theSuperwinch. If any model or sample was shown to you, such model or sample was used for illustra-tive purposes only, and shall not be construed as a warranty that the Superwinch will conform tothe sample or model. SELLER MAKES NO EXPRESS WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THE WIRE ROPEINCORPORATED IN THE PRODUCT.

B. Implied Warranty. The implied warranty of merchantability and all other implied warrantiesshall only extend from the provable date of purchase for one (1) year. The wire rope is sold ”as is,”without any implied warranties. Some states within the U.S.A. do not allow limitations on howlong an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

C. Incidental and Consequential Damages. SUBJECT TO THE SELLER’S LIMITED WARRANTY OBLIGA-TIONS SET FORTH HEREIN, SELLER SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES OFANY KIND, OR FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES TO PROPERTY, LOSS OF PROFITS AND LOSS OF USEWHICH MAY BE CAUSED BY ANY DEFECT IN, OR MALFUNCTION, OR FAILURE OF THE ENCLOSEDSUPERWINCH. D. Condition of Warranty. Seller shall not be required to comply with its warranty duties providedherein if the defect, malfunction, or failure of the Superwinch was caused by damage (not resultingfrom defective or malfunctioning components) or unreasonable use by you. Unreasonable use shallinclude, but not be limited to, the failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance orinstallation or use of the Superwinch without compliance with the instructions contained in theSuperwinch Owner’s Manual, and subjecting the Superwinch to loads in excess of the load listed inthe Owner’s Manual for the particular model number. Seller’s liability under this warranty or for anyloss or damage to the Superwinch product shall not exceed the cost of correcting the defects in orreplacing the Superwinch product, and upon expiration of the warranty period, all such liabilityshall terminate. The agents, dealers and employees of the Seller are not authorized to make modifi-cations to this warranty, or additional warranties binding on the Seller. Accordingly, additional state-ments, whether oral or written, do not constitute warranties and should not be relied upon.

Cada cabrestante está equipado con un motor de imán per-manente y está diseñado para uso general intermitente. Este cabrestante no está diseñado para usarse en aplicacionesindustriales ni de grúa y el fabricante no garantiza su idonei-dad para tales usos.

El embrague de carrete libre se hace funcionar con una peril-la de tirar y girar que desembraga el motoreductor para permitir que se tire del cable de alambre hacia afuera sinusar potenica eléctrica. Una placa de tensión reduce latigueoy atorados al tirar del cable de alambre hacia afuera.

El interruptor remoto permite una amplia variedad deopciones de montaje.

8. MANTÉNGASE ALEJADO DELCABRESTANTE, CABLE DE ALAM-BRE TENSO Y DEL GANCHOCUANDO ESTÉ OPERANDO ELCABRESTANTE. Nunca atraviese elgancho con los dedos. Si su dedoqueda atrapado en el gancho,podría perderlo. SIEMPRE USE LABARRE PROTECTORA PARAMANOS cuando guíe elcable de alambre haciaadentro o hacia afuera(vea la Fig. 3).

9. NUNCA ENGANCHE EL CABLE DEALAMBRE SOBRE SÍ MISMOporque podría dañar el cable dealambre. Use una eslinga denilón (Figura 4).

10. Es una buena idea poner unafrazada pesada o abrigo sobre elcable de alambre cerca delextremo del gancho al tirar decargas pesadas (Figura 5). En elcaso de que el cable de alambrefalle, la tela actuará como ate-nuador para evitar que el cablede alambre latiguee.

11. NUNCA USE SUCABRESTANTE PARALEVANTAR O MOVERGENTE.

12. Su cabrestante no está pensadopara operaciones de izado porencima.

13. EVITE TIRAR CONTINUAMENTEDESDE ÁNGULOS EXTREMOS, yaque esto causará que el cable dealambre se apile en un extremodel tambor (Fig. 6). Esto puedeatorar el cable de alambre en elcabrestante dañando tanto elcable de alambre como elcabrestante.

14. NUNCA TAPE LAS ETIQUETASDE ADVERTENCIA NI DEINSTRUCCIONES.

15. Siempre opere el cabrestante conuna vista sin obstrucciones de laoperación de tiro.

16. Los equipos como aparejos, gan-chos, bloques de poleas, tirantes,etc., deben ser del tamaño de latarea de tiro y debe inspeccionarperiódicamente que no tengandaños que puedan reducir suresistencia.

Su cabrestante es una máquinamuy poderosa. Si se usa sin precau-ción o inadecuadamente es posibleque cause daños a la propiedad olesiones personales.

El cable de alambre

puede romperse antes de que elcabrestante entra en pérdida. Paracargas pesadas, use un bloque depoleas para reducir la carga sobreel cable de alambre.

1. La capacidad máxima de trabajoes en la capa de cable de alambremás cercana al tambor. NOSOBRECARGUE. NO INTENTETIRAR DE CARGAS GRANDES PORTIEMPO PROLONGADO. Lassobrecargas pueden dañar elcabrestante y/o el cable y crearcondiciones inseguras deoperación. PARA CARGAS MAYO-RES DE 454 KILOGRAMOS. (1000lb.), RECOMENDAMOS EL USODEL BLOQUE DE POLEASOPCIONAL PARA DUPLICAR EL DECABLE ALAMBRE (Fig. 2). Estoreduce la carga sobre elcabrestante y el esfuerzo delcable de alambre en un 50%aproximadamente. Sujete el gan-cho a la pieza que soporta lacarga. El motor del vehículo debeestar funcionando durante laoperación del cabrestante. Si sellevan a cabo tiros extendidos conel motor apagado, se puede bajarla batería y será difícil arrancar elmotor de nuevo.

2. DESPUÉS DE LEER Y ENTENDERESTE MANUAL, APRENDA A USARSU CABRESTANTE. Después deinstalar el cabrestante, practiqueusándolo para que esté familiari-zado con su operación cuandosurja la necesidad de usarlo.

3. NO «mueva» su vehículo paraayudar al cabrestante a tirar de lacarga. La combinación delcabrestante y el vehículo tirandoa la vez puede sobrecargar elcable de alambre y el cabrestante.

4. MANTÉNGASE SIEMPRE LEJOSDEL CABLE DE ALAMBRE, ELGANCHO Y EL CABRESTANTE. ENEL REMOTO CASO DE FALLA DECUALQUIER COMPONENTE, ESMEJOR ESTAR LEJOS DEL PELIGRO.

5. INSPECCIONE FRECUENTEMENTEEL CABLE DE ALAMBRE Y ELEQUIPO. UN CABLE DE ALAM-BRE DESHILACHADO CONHILOS ROTOS DEBE REEM-PLAZARSE INMEDIATAMENTE.Siempre reemplace el cable dealambre con la pieza de repuestodel fabricante idéntica (vea la listade piezas de repuesto). Reviseperiódicamente la instalación delcabrestante para asegurarse deque los tornillos estén firmes.

6. USE GUANTES DE CUERO PESADOcuando maneje el cable de alam-bre. NO DEJE QUE EL CABLE DEALAMBRE SE DESLICE ENTRE SUSMANOS.

7. NUNCA USE EL CABRESTANTECON MENOS DE 5 VUELTAS decable de alambre EN EL TAMBORDEL CABRESTANTE, ya que esposible que el cable de alambre ysu sujeción NO resistan la cargacompleta.

21. Cuando mueva una carga, recojael exceso de cable de alambrecon cuidado hasta que éste estétenso. Deténgase, vuelva a veri-ficar todas las conexiones detiro. Asegúrese de que el ganchoesté bien asentado. Si se usa unaeslinga de nilón, revise la suje-ción a la carga.

22. Cuando use su cabrestante paramover una carga, coloque latransmisión de su vehículo enneutral, ponga el freno de manoy bloquee todas las ruedas.

Se proporcionan dos botas para termi-nales para aislar las terminales en el con-junto del cortacircuitos. Paso (13)Hale y gire (vea la figura 9) la manija delembrague de rueda libre a la posición de"Desengranado". Saque varios pies decable metálico del tambor. Regrese lamanija del embrague a la posición de"Engranado". Active el cabrestante enCable Afuera para verificar la dirección derotación del tambor. Active el cabrestante al oprimir el inter-ruptor en cualquier dirección; CableAdentro o Cable Afuera, como se indicaen el interruptor (Figura 8).

El interruptor de balancín automática-mente regresará a la posición de APA-GADO cuando se suelte.

Nota: En la posición de APAGADO, una desviación eléctrica proporcionarála acción dinámica de frenado que elim-inará el deslizamiento. En la posición de APAGADO, la desviación reducirá la acción de una marcha forzada de la carga del cabrestante. Sin embargo,una carga podrá causar que elcabrestante se arrastre.

El cabrestanteno está diseña-

do para actuar como un dispositivode retención de carga. Nouse el cabrestante parasostener cargas en sulugar. Use correas deamarre o cadenas paraasegurar las cargas.

Desconecte el cabrestante

de la batería cuando esté desaten-dido para prevenir el uso no autorizado.

Paso (5)Dirija el arnés del cableado, conectandoel arnés a los puntos duros en el vehículocon las ataduras de cables.

Nota: Al dirigir los cables, las terminalesapropiadas deberán localizarse cerca de labatería, el punto de montaje del interrup-tor, y el cabrestante. Sus requisitos deinstalación variarán, dependiendo en suvehículo y cabrestante. Paso (7)Haga corresponder las terminales decables a las terminales apropiadas de lalaya en la parte de atrás del interruptorde balancín y haga las conexiones (Figura 7).

Paso (8)Inserte el interruptor en la caja del inter-ruptor. Inserte cada cable en las ranurasdel telar en la parte de atrás de la cajadel interruptor. Sujete la tapa de la partesuperior de la caja del interruptor usandolos tornillos proporcionados que secubren por sí mismos.

Se proporcionan dos pedazos de tuberíadel telar. Envuelva los cables al motor enun pedazo de tubería y los dos cables a la batería en el otro pedazo de tubería.

Asegúrese quela posición del

montaje del interruptor no impidala operación del vehículo. Antes demanejar el vehículo, pruebe el rangode movimiento del sistema de con-trol del vehículo para asegurarseque el cableado del interruptor nointerfiera con la operación delvehículo.

4. El tirón requerido para comenzar amover una carga a menudo es mayorque el que se requiere para manten-erla en movimiento. EVITE PARADASY COMIENZOS FRECUENTES duranteel tiro.

5. EVITE TORCEDURAS ANTES DE QUEOCURRAN.

a. Éste es el comienzo de una torcedu-ra. Debe enderezarse el cable de alambre.

b. Se ha tirado el cable de alambre y elrizo se ha apretado en una torcedu-ra. Ahora el cable de alambreestá permanentemente dañado ydebe ser reemplazado.

c. La torcedura hace que cada hebratire con tensiones dife-rentes loshilos bajo mayor tensión serompan y se reduzca así la capaci-dad de carga del cable de alambre.Éste se tiene que reemplazar.

REEMPLAZO DEL CABLE METÁLICO

Nunca sustituya por un cable de mayor o menor capacidad. Nunca use otrocable hecho de ningún otro materialque no sea alambre.

Siempre reemplace el cable de alambredañado con la pieza de repuesto idénti-ca del fabricante (vea la Lista de piezasde repuesto). Pase el extremo de suje-ción del cable de alambre por la guía (si se instala) y sujételo al tambor. Alinsertar el cable de alambre al tambor,insértelo en el extremo correcto del orificio proporcionado (Fig. 11). Aprietefirmemente el tornillo de presión.

Revise periódicamente la firmeza de lostornillos de montaje y las conexioneseléctricas. Quite toda la tierra o corrosiónque se haya acumulado en las conexioneseléctricas.

Las reparaciones deben hacerlaslos Centros Autorizados deReparaciones Superwinch SOLAMENTE.No trate desarmar el motoreductor. Si lo hace, anulará la garantía.

LUBRICACIÓN

El motoreductor está lubricado perma-nentemente. Si necesita volver a lubri-carlo luego de una reparación o desar-mado. Use Shell Alvenia EP2 o equiva-lente.

OPERACIÓN DE LA RUEDA LIBRE Hale y gire la manija del embrague a la posición de "Desengranado" como se muestra en la Figura 9. Si hay unacarga en el cable metálico, la manija del embrague no podrá arrancar fácil-mente. NO FUERCE LA MANIJA DELEMBRAGUE. Libere la tensión en elembrague al soltar algo de cablemetálico. Suelte el embrague y hale elcable metálico y asegúrelo para anclarla carga. Verifique que haya por lomenos cinco (5) vueltas de cable metáli-co dejado en el tambor. Vuelva a engra-nar el tambor al regresar la manija delembrague a la posición "Engranada"(Vea la Figura 9).

El embraguedeberá estar

totalmente engranado antes deusar el cabrestante. Nunca engranela manija del embrague mientrasque el tambor esté girando.

La manija delembrague se

ha ajustado y permanentementecerrado en su lugar con un com-puesto de cierre con hilo en la fábri-ca. No intente reajustar la manija.

CÓMO ALARGAR LA VIDA DELCABRESTANTE1. MANTENGA EL CABLE DE ALAMBRE

ARROLLADO FIRMEMENTE EN ELTAMBOR. No permita que se afloje elcable de alambre. Un carrete arrolla-do flojamente permite que el cable dealambre tenso baje por las capas decable de alambre del tambor. Cuandoesto sucede, el cable de alambrepuede deformarse como cuña dentrodel cuerpo del enrollado dañándose.Para evitar este problema, mantengael cable de alambre firme y uniforme-mente arro-llado en el tambor entodo momento. Una buena práctica esenrollarlo bajo tensión después decada uso. Una manera de ha-cerlo essujetar el gancho a un objeto esta-cionario hasta arriba de una pendi-ente gradual y tirar de su vehículohacia arriba en la pendiente.

2. NO PERMITA QUE SE SOBRECALIENTEEL MOTOR DEL CABRESTANTE.Mantenga la duración de los tiros lomás corta posible. Si el motor secalienta de manera incómoda al tacto,deje de tirar y permita que el motorse enfríe. A 567 kg (1,250 lb.) permitaque el motor se enfríe después de 20segundos de trabajo. A cargas de 227kg (500 lb.) o menos, permita que seenfríe después de 2 1/2 minutos detrabajo. MANTENGA EL MOTOR FUN-CIONANDO PARA RECARGAR LABATERÍA durante esta pausa.

3. USE UN BLOQUE DE POLEAS PARACARGAS PESADAS. Para alargar almáximo la vida del cabrestante y lavida del cable de alambre, use unbloque de poleas para duplicar lalínea para cargas más pesadas (Figura 2).

Si el motor del

cabrestante entra en pérdida, nocontinúe aplicando la corriente.

Chaque treuil est équipé d’un moteur à aimant permanent et estconçu pour un emploi général et intermittent. Ce treuil n’est pas destiné à être utilisé dans des applications industrielles ou dans desapplications de levage et le fabricant ne garantit pas qu’il est adaptéà une telle utilisation.Le fonctionnement de l’embrayage de bobinage libre est assuré par une poignée qu’il faut tirer et tourner pour débrayer la boîte devitesse afin de permettre la sortie du câble métallique sans alimenta-tion électrique. Une plaque de tension réduit le jeu et l’emmêlementlors de la sortie du câble métallique.La commande à distance permet une grande variété d’options demontage.

8. TENEZ-VOUS À L’ÉCART DU TREUIL,DU CÂBLE SOUS TENSION ET DUCROCHET LORSQUE LE TREUIL ESTEN MARCHE. Ne mettez jamais lesdoigts dans le crochet. Vous pourriezperdre votre doigt au cas où il seraitpris dans le crochet. UTILISEZ TOU-JOURS LA BARRE PROTÈGE-MAINS lorsque vous guidezl’entrée et la sortie du câble.(Voir la Fig. 3.)

9. N’ACCROCHEZ JAMAIS LE CÂBLESUR LUI-MÊME, car cela pourraitendommager le câble. Utilisez uneélingue en nylon (Fig. 4).

10. C’est une bonne idée de placer unecouverture lourde ou une veste pardessus le câble près de l’extrémitéoù se trouve le crochet en cas detraction de charges lourdes (Fig. 5).Si le câble métallique se brisait, letissu servirait de tampon et aideraità empêcher le fouettement ducâble.

11. N’UTILISEZ JAMAIS VOTRETREUIL POUR SOULEVEROU DÉPLACER DES PER-SONNES.

12. Votre treuil n’est pas destiné auxopérations de levage en surplomb.

13. ÉVITEZ LES TREUILLAGES CONTINUSEFFECTUÉS À DES ANGLESEXTRÊMES car ils enrouleront lecâble sur un côté du tambour (Fig.6). Ceci peut coincer le câble dans letreuil et endommager le câble ou letreuil.

14. NE CACHEZ JAMAIS LES ÉTIQUETTESD'AVERTISSEMENT ET DE CON-SIGNES.

15. Ayez toujours une vue dégagée del'opération de treuillage lorsquevous faites fonctionner votre treuil.

16. Tout matériel tel que poulies, cro-chets, palans, lanières, etc. doit êtrede taille adaptée à la tâche de treuil-lage et doit être inspecté péri-odiquement pour tout dommagepouvant nuire à sa robustesse.

Votre treuil est une machinepuissante. S’il est utilisé sans précautionsou utilisé incorrectement, il est possibleque des dommages matériaux ou desblessures corporelles en résultent.

Le câblemétallique

peut se casser avant que le moteur dutreuil ne cale. Pour les charges lourdes,utilisez un palan pour réduire la chargesur le câble métallique.

1. La capacité de charge de travail maxi-male se trouve sur la couche de câblemétallique située le plus près du tam-bour. NE SURCHARGEZ PAS LETREUIL. N’ESSAYEZ PAS DES TRAC-TIONS PROLONGÉES AVEC DESCHARGES LOURDES. Les surchargespeuvent endommager le treuil et/oule câble métallique et créer des condi-tions de fonctionnement dan-gereuses. POUR TOUTE CHARGESUPÉRIEURE À 454 KILOS (1000LIVRES), NOUS VOUS CONSEILLONSD’UTILISER LE PALAN FACULTATIFAFIN D’AVOIR UNE LIGNE DOUBLEDE CÂBLE MÉTALLIQUE (Fig. 2). Ceciréduit d’environ 50% la charge sur letreuil et le stress sur le câblemétallique. Attachez le crochet à unepartie porteuse. Le moteur duvéhicule doit tourner pendantl’opération de treuillage.

Si vous effectuez beaucoup de treuil-lage sans faire tourner le moteur, ilest possible que la batterie soit tropaffaiblie pour faire redémarrer lemoteur.

2. APRÈS AVOIR LU ET COMPRIS CEMANUEL, APPRENEZ À UTILISERVOTRE TREUIL. Une fois votre treuilinstallé, exercez-vous à son utilisationpour vous familiariser avec le fonc-tionnement de la machine en cas debesoin.

3. NE FAITES PAS “bouger” votrevéhicule pour aider le treuil à tirer lacharge. La traction combinée dutreuil et du véhicule peut surchargerle câble métallique et le treuil.

4. TENEZ-VOUS TOUJOURS À L’ÉCARTDU CÂBLE, DU CROCHET ET DUTREUIL. DANS LE CAS PEU PROBABLED’UNE RUPTURE DE COMPOSANT, ILVAUT MIEUX ÊTRE LOIN DU DAN-GER.

5. INSPECTEZ FRÉQUEMMENT LE CÂBLEET LE MATÉRIEL. REMPLACEZIMMÉDIATEMENT TOUT CÂBLEEFFILOCHÉ AVEC DES TORONSCASSÉS. Remplacez toujours le câblepar un câble de remplacement iden-tique en provenance du fabricant.(Voir la liste de pièces de rechange.)Contrôlez périodiquement l’installa-tion du treuil pour vous assurer quetous les boulons sont bien serrés.

6. PORTEZ DES GANTS EN CUIR ÉPAISlorsque vous manipulez le câblemétallique. NE LAISSEZ PAS GLISSERLE CÂBLE MÉTALLIQUE DANS LESMAINS.

7. NE TREUILLEZ JAMAIS AVEC MOINSDE 5 TOURS de câble EMBOBINÉAUTOUR DU TAMBOUR puisqu’ilpeut arriver que l’attache à l’ex-trémité du câble NE supporte PAS lacharge totale.

Étape (1)Installez le kit de montage ou le supportde structure destiné au treuil.

Étape (2)Montez le treuil sur la plaque de basedu kit de montage ou sur le supportque vous avez conçu. Typiquement, lemontage se fait sur une surface planecapable de supporter les charges.

Les boulons de montage M8 x 1,25 x 30mm qui sont fournis sont de la longueurrequise pour emploi avec une plaque demontage de 1/4 po. (6,3 mm) d’épais-seur.

Ne sub-stituez pas

de boulon de force inférieure au calibreISO 4.6.

Étape (3)Vérifiez pour vous assurer que les filspositifs et de masse du véhicule de labatterie sont débranchés avant tout tra-vail électrique.

17. NE RELÂCHEZ JAMAIS L'EM-BRAYAGE DE BOBINAGE LIBRE SI LE CÂBLE EST SOUS CHARGE.

18. NE TRAVAILLEZ JAMAIS SUR LETAMBOUR DU TREUIL OU ÀPROXIMITÉ DE CELUI-CI LORSQUELE TREUIL EST SOUS CHARGE.

19. NE FAITES PAS FONCTIONNER LETREUIL LORSQUE VOUS ÊTES SOUSL'INFLUENCE DE DROGUES, D'AL-COOL OU DE MÉDICAMENTS.

20. DÉCONNECTEZ TOUJOURS LES FILS CONDUCTEURS DU TREUILMENANT À LA BATTERIE AVANTTOUT TRAVAIL SUR LE TAMBOURDU TREUIL OU À PROXIMITÉ DECELUI-CI de manière à éviter que le treuil ne soit mis en marche parmégarde.

21. Lorsque vous déplacez une charge,reprenez doucement tout jeu ducâble jusqu’à ce que celui-ci soittendu. Arrêtez le treuil et vérifiezencore une fois toutes les connex-ions de treuillage. Assurez-vous quel’assise du crochet est correcte. Encas d’utilisation d’une élingue ennylon, contrôlez qu’elle est bienattachée à la charge.

22. Lorsque vous utilisez votre treuilpour déplacer une charge, placezla transmission du véhicule au pointmort, mettez le frein à main etcalez toutes les roues.

23. N'UTILISEZ PAS LE TREUIL POURMAINTENIR LES CHARGES ENPLACE. Utilisez d'autresmoyens tels que deslanières de retenue pourmaintenir les charges.

24. UTILISEZ UNIQUEMENT COMMUTA-TEURS, COMMANDES À DISTANCEET ACCESSOIRES APPROUVÉS PARLE FABRICANT. L'utilisation de com-posants non approuvés par le fabri-cant pourrait provoquer desblessures ou des dommagesmatériels et pourrait annuler votre garantie.

25. N'USINEZ PAS ET NE SOUDEZAUCUNE DES PIÈCES DU TREUIL. De telles altérations peuvent affaib-lir l'intégrité structurelle du treuil etpourraient annuler la garantie.

26. NE BRANCHEZ PAS LE TREUIL À UNE ALIMENTATION EN PUISSANCERÉSIDENTIELLE DE 110 VOLTS ACOU À UN SECTEUR DE 220 VOLTS ;CELA POURRAIT PROVOQUER LASURCHAUFFE DU TREUIL OU UNCHOC ÉLECTRIQUE MORTEL.

27. Interdisez toujours l’application decharges par à-coups au treuil ou aucâble.

28. Faites très attention lorsque voustirez une charge et que vous lafaites monter ou descendre le long d’une rampe ou d’une pente.Gardez les individus, les animaux et vos biens matériels à distance du chemin suivi par la charge.

Étape (11)Connectez le dernier fil noir à la bornenégative de la batterie (figure 7).

Étape (12)Rebranchez les fils positifs et de massedu véhicule à la batterie.

Avant detester le fonc-

tionnement du treuil, assurez-vous desortir environ deux pieds de câblemétallique.

Note : Si votre véhicule est doté debornes à pôles latéraux, vous devrezpeut-être vous procurer les boulons debornes latérales auxiliaires de votre four-nisseur local de pièces automobiles pourétablir ces connexions. Note : Si vous choisissez de placer le treuilà une distance supérieure à la longueurpermise par les fils fournis, cela peutréduire la vitesse ou la capacité de traction du treuil.

Étape (13)Tirez et tournez (voir figure 9) le levierd’embrayage à enroulement libre pourmettre à la position « désembrayé ».Déroulez plusieurs mètres de câble hors tambour. Remettez le levier d’embrayage en position « embrayé ».Activez un peu le treuil en position poursortir le câble pour vérifier la rotation etla direction du tambour. Si le tambourtourne dans la mauvaise direction, revérifiez le câblage.

FONCTIONNEMENT DUCOMMUTATEUR

L'assemblagedu treuil doit

être libre de poussière et humidité pourassurer un fonctionnement en toutesécurité.

Activez le treuil en enfonçant le com-mutateur dans une direction ou l'autre,Rope IN ou Rope OUT (déroulement ouenroulement) tel qu'indiqué sur le commutateur (figure 8).

Le commutateur à bascule revientautomatiquement à la position OFF(arrêt) dès qu'il est relâché.

Note : En position OFF, une dérivationélectrique fourni l'action de freinagedynamique éliminant ainsi toute marcheau point mort. En position OFF, la dériva-tion réduit l'action d'une charge quipourrait provoquer la marche arrière dutreuil. Une charge peut toutefoisentraîner une rotation lente du treuil.

Le treuil n'est pasconçu comme dis-

positif de retenue de charge. N'utilisezPAS le treuil pour garder les charges enplace. Utilisez des sangles d'arrimage oudes chaînes pour garder les charges enplace.

Débranchezle treuil de la

batterie lorsque l'appareil se trouve sanssupervision afin d'éviter toute utilisa-tion non autorisée.

SOLÉNOÏDE D'INTERDICTION DE DÉMARRAGE OPTIONNELSous la procédure d'installation normale,votre Superwinch fonctionnera lorsque la clé de votre véhicule sera en position «OFF» (arrêt). Votre concessionnaire autoriséSuperwinch peut vous fournir un solénoïded'interdiction de démarrage qui coupe lecourant au treuil lorsque la clé est en positionOFF, éliminant ainsi la nécessité de débranch-er le treuil de la batterie pour éviter touteutilisation non autorisée.

Étape (4)Reportez-vous à la figure 7 pour le diagramme de câblage.

Étape (5)Acheminez le faisceau de fils tout enattachant le faisceau aux points durs du véhicules avec les attaches.Note : En acheminant les fils, les bornesappropriées doivent se trouver près de la batterie, du point de montage ducommutateur et du treuil. Les exigencesen termes d'installation varient selonvotre véhicule et votre treuil. Assurez-vous que les fils soient assez longs pouratteindre la batterie, le point de mon-tage du commutateur et le treuil.

Assurez-vousque le fais-

ceau de fils n'entrave ou n'entre en con-tact avec toute pièce chaude ou mobiledu moteur, de la suspension, du volant,du frein ou de l'échappement.

Étape (6)Utilisez les pinces, les fixations et la quin-caillerie fournies et installez la boîte ducommutateur à un endroit pratique. Voir la figure 7.Note : La configuration de trous de la fixation de montage de la boîte du commutateur permet de la monter àplusieurs endroits et dans plusieurs direc-tions. Utilisez toujours les vis à tête com-binées de la boîte fournies. Enfoncez lesdeux trous de montage appropriés dansla boîte du commutateur. Des rallongescourtes et longues sont fournies poursoulever le commutateur au besoin.N'utilisez pas plus d'un lien pour monterla fixation de montage de la boîte ducommutateur aux pinces des tubes rondes.

UTILISEZ TOUJOURS LA

FIXATION DE MONTAGE DE LA BOÎTE,DEUX VIS ET LES CONTRE-ÉCROU. Leslongueurs de vis sont taillées pour unebonne pénétration dans la boîte ducommutateur. Une pénétration trop pro-fonde peut mener à des courts-circuitsqui pourrait faire surchauffer les fils.

Les bornesde fils

doivent être installées correctement surle commutateur. Une mauvaise installa-tion pourrait mener à des connexions à forte résistance qui à leur tour mèn-eraient à une chaleur excessive.

Étape (7)Agencez les bornes de fils aux bornesembrochables appropriées à l'arrière du commutateur à bascule et faites lesconnexions (figure 7).

Étape (8)Insérez le commutateur dans la boîte ducommutateur. Insérez chaque fil dans lesfentes des faisceaux de fils à l'arrière dela boîte du commutateur. Attachez lecouvercle du haut de la boîte du commutateur à l'aide des vis autotaraudeuses fournies.Deux pièces du tube de faisceaux fendusont fournies. Groupez les deux fils aumoteur dans une pièce de tube et lesdeux fils à la batterie dans l'autre.

Assurez-vousque cet

endroit n'entrave pas le fonctionnementdu véhicule. Avant de conduire levéhicule, testez la plage de déplacementdu système de contrôle du véhicule pourvous assurer que le fil du commutateurn'entrave pas le fonctionnement duvéhicule.

Étape (9)Connectez l'assemblage du disjoncteurnon marqué au fil positif (rouge) de labatterie (figure 7).

Étape (10)Connectez le fil rouge court entre laborne +BAT de montage du disjoncteuret la borne positive de la batterie (figure 7).Deux gaines de bornes sont fourniespour isoler les bornes du disjoncteur.Après avoir installé les gaines sur les fils,les gaines peuvent être fixées sur la par-tie non-métallique du véhicule pour

4. La traction initiale requise pour fairebouger une charge est souvent debeaucoup supérieure à la tractionrequise pour continuer à déplacercette même charge. ÉVITEZ LESARRÊTS ET REMISES EN MARCHERÉPÉTÉS pendant le treuillage.

5. EMPÊCHEZ LES BOUCLES AVANTQU’ELLES NE SE PRODUISENT.

(a) Voici le début d’une boucle. C’està ce moment qu’il faut rectifier lecâble.

(b) On a tiré sur le câble et la boucles’est transformée en noeud. Lecâble est maintenant endom-magé de manière permanenteet doit être remplacé.

(c) Les noeuds font que les toronsmétalliques qui sont soumis à plusgrande tension se cassent, ce quiréduit la capacité de charge ducâble. Il faut remplacer le câble.

REMPLACEMENT DU CÂBLEMÉTALLIQUENe substituez jamais un câble plus lourdou plus léger. N’utilisez jamais de câblefabriqué avec autre chose que du filmétallique.

Remplacez toujours le câble endom-magé par une pièce de rechange iden-tique provenant du fabricant d'origine(voir la liste de pièces). Faites passerl'embout d'attache du câble métalliquepar le guide-câble (s'il y en a) etattachez-le au tambour. Lorsque vousintroduisez le câble dans le tambour,introduisez-le du bon côté de l'orificefourni (Fig. 11). Serrez à fond la vis deserrage.

Contrôlez périodiquement le degré deserrage des boulons de montage et desconnexions électriques. Enlevez toutesaleté ou corrosion qui se serait accu-mulée sur les connexions électriques.

Les réparations doivent être effectuéesUNIQUEMENT par les Centres de répa-ration Superwinch autorisés. N'essayezpas de démonter la boîte de vitesse. Ledémontage annulera la garantie.

LUBRIFICATIONLa boîte de vitesse est lubrifiée demanière permanente. Si la re-lubrifica-tion s'avère nécessaire après une répara-tion ou un démontage, utilisez seule-ment du Shell Alvenia EP2 ou un pro-duit équivalent.

FONCTIONNEMENT DUBOBINAGE LIBRETirez et tournez le levier d’embrayagepour mettre à la position « désembrayé» tel qu'indiqué à la figure 9. S'il y a une charge sur le câble, le bouton d'embrayage pourrait être difficile à sortir facilement. NE FORCEZ PAS LEBOUTON D'EMBRAYAGE. Relâchez latension du câble en le remuant un peupour sortir un peu de câble. Laissez allerl'embrayage et sortez le câblemétallique puis fixez-le sur une charged'ancrage. Vérifiez qu’il reste au moinscinq (5) tours de câble sur le tambour.Embrayez à nouveau le tambour enpassant le levier d’embrayage à la position « embrayé » (voir la figure 9).

L'embrayagedoit être en posi-

tion complètement engagée avant decommencer le treuillage. N’embrayezJAMAIS lorsque le tambour tourne.

Le bouton d'em-brayage a été

ajusté et verrouillé en permanence enplace avec une pâte de verrouillage desfilets à l'usine. N’essayez pas de réa-juster le bouton.

POUR PROLONGER LA LONGÉVITÉ DEVOTRE TREUIL

1. MAINTENEZ LE CÂBLE ÉTROITEMENTSERRÉ AUTOUR DU TAMBOUR. Nepermettez pas que le câble soitembobiné sans être bien serré. Unbobinage qui n'est pas fermementserré permet au câble, lorsqu'il estsous charge, de s'enfoncer dans lescouches inférieures de câbleembobinées sur le tambour. Lorsquecela se produit, le câble peut se calerdans le bobinage, ce qui endommagele câble. Pour empêcher que ce prob-lème ne se produise, gardez le câbleserré de manière uniforme et ferme àtous moments. Une bonne habitudeest de rembobiner le câble sous ten-sion après chaque utilisation. Unefaçon de le faire est d'attacher le cro-chet à un objet immobile en hautd'une pente douce et de treuillervotre véhicule sur la pente.

2. NE LAISSEZ PAS SURCHAUFFER LEMOTEUR DU TREUIL. Limitez la duréedes tractions autant que possible. Si le moteur devient inconfortablementchaud au toucher, laissez le refroidir. À une charge de 567 kg (1250 livres),laissez reposer le moteur après 20 sec-ondes de marche. À des charges de227 kg (500 livres) ou moins, laissezreposer le moteur après 2 minutes etdemi de marche. GARDEZ LE MOTEUREN MARCHE pendant les pauses AFINDE RECHARGER LA BATTERIE.

3. UTILISEZ UN PALAN POUR LESCHARGES LOURDES. Afin de max-imiser la vie du treuil et du câble,utilisez un palan pour avoir un câbledouble pour les charges plus lourdes(Fig. 2).
